Ristorante Due Spade Cernusco sul Naviglio Reviews
A truly unique location with an amazing vibe. Exceptionally friendly service and absolutely perfect food. Highly recommended!
I hadn't been there in a while and was delighted to find the same warm, family-like atmosphere. Everything was excellent, but special mention goes to the egg pasta and gnocchi: simply amazing. The raw fish appetizer was top-notch. Interesting wine list. Finally, you can't leave without their gelato: superb. The price was reasonable for the quality, the charming location, and the excellent service. See you soon!
A truly wow lunch. 4 people at the table, 4 satisfied people. The autumn menu was truly tasty and plentiful. No dish was disliked. They were truly excellent... especially the gnocchi with chard, cream of shellfish and licorice, and the rabbit wrapped in speck were truly out of this world. Will we go back? Yes. 5 stars? Yes. The price/performance ratio was just average. If I really had to find a flaw, it would be the parking not right next door.
A truly superb experience, with fantastic staff overall and extremely high-quality and sophisticated dishes. This time I tried the recommended fish menu and it was a delightful discovery with every course. Highly recommended, both for special events and for a quality lunch/dinner. Well done and congratulations!
A fantastic experience in the heart of Cernusco sul Naviglio, a historic location, an old spinning mill where a refined and intimate atmosphere has been created, where the service begins with the welcome, the dishes followed one after the other from the chef's welcome in a journey of the senses. I highly recommend it to all lovers of food and good hospitality. Thank you, the trip from Tuscany was worth it! ⭐️
We chose the "Due Spade" restaurant in Cernusco sul Naviglio for our wedding lunch, and we couldn't have made a better choice. The location, a former spinning mill that perfectly blends history and modernity, won everyone over with its welcoming atmosphere and attention to every detail. A special thanks goes to Marzia, who accompanied us with great professionalism throughout the organization: from choosing the menu to setting the tables, she was able to understand and satisfy our every need, with attention and availability. The service was impeccable, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Even guests with special dietary needs were catered for with care, and everyone was thrilled.
Returning to the Due Spade restaurant is always a pleasure. We went for lunch on Sunday, May 4, 2025. We've known it since it was in the Melzo location, and it has never disappointed our expectations. Although we don't get to go often, the welcome is always warm and welcoming; it's "our" restaurant for important life events. This time, too, the quality and professionalism were not lacking. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised to see Lorenzo's cuisine grow significantly compared to recent visits; he's a truly promising chef despite his young age. This time, we chose the "Fish & Bubbles" menu: after the chef's appetizer (a "cloud" with cassoeula mousse), we continued with an excellent swordfish tataki with daikon and beetroot, a carrot cream with squid, fennel, and red onion and crispy Venere rice (perhaps a little too crunchy), a fantastic red tuna fillet with smoked eggplant and seaweed—really tender and flavorful, and black garlic spaghetti with spectacular red shrimp tartare (the pasta was cooked perfectly). To finish, a soft cocoa dessert with black cherry mousse and chocolate sorbet, also truly delicious. For all the dishes, we appreciated the choice to combine ingredients with different textures, creating beautiful contrasts on the palate. It was all accompanied by a bottle of Berlucchi Franciacorta Millesimato 2019 Cuvée des JRE No. 7, a truly balanced and elegant limited edition extra brut, created in collaboration with the young JRE restaurateurs, including Lorenzo Di Bari, a member. What can I say... it's not a cheap restaurant, but the excellent quality, expertise, and professionalism of the staff in the dining room and kitchen justify the price. A special mention goes to the breadsticks and bread served, homemade and delicious, as well as the caramelized almonds served with the coffee. We hope to have another opportunity to return soon. Highly recommended.
The food was delicious and very surreal place. The risotto is a must try. Very refreshing flavours. Will visit again
A pleasant place. Staff is very friendly. Interesting proposals on the menu. Quality is pretty good. With a visit.
Great food and location
Very good
Amazing presentation! Amazing food!!! You will not be disappointed.
Fantastic place. Very knowledgable staff, wonderful flavour combinations and very accommodating in terms of food intolerances / preferences. We had the tasting menu minus any fish dishes as one of our group doesn't like it. The food was stunning. The steak tartare was a new experience. It's worth the little extra money for the quality!
Amazing food, friendly staff and an awesome chef. Highly recommended for authentic regional food. Five thumbs up.
Reconversion of an industrial area into a charming and welcoming restaurant. The service was impeccable and conducted by kind and very knowledgeable people both on wines and on the dishes served. The dishes served were exquisite and with "exotic" variations on classics of the Italian tradition (such as toasted quinoa on black garlic cream). The portions, obviously, of a gourmet restaurant, therefore sufficient to appreciate the mastery of the chef but not enough to fill the satiety implying that more than one dish must be tasted. Expensive but it is definitely recommended if you want a noteworthy culinary experience.
I'd like to start by saying I'm very sorry I can't give this place a full score, but I think it's right for reviewers to be as objective as possible when offering advice to potential customers and highlighting any issues so they can help them resolve them without presumption. Booked on their website, very well done, two tasting menus (€55 each) for lunch. The place is truly beautiful and unique, very well-kept, even in the table setting, very bright and with a lovely outdoor space. Excellent welcome, a young woman and a gentleman welcomed us and led us to our table. I served a glass of wine and I really appreciated that she left the bottle at the table for a few minutes so I could see the label. Six courses plus a small appetizer. I really have little to say about the dishes. Beautiful, carefully prepared, good, and I emphasize the top-quality ingredients. The only dish I didn't fully appreciate was the creamed cod with potatoes, olives, and sweet and sour onions. Everything was good, but it seemed like a somewhat unrelated dish. Unfortunately, I now have to share an unpleasant episode. The offending dish was the risotto, which was the only dish served to us by a young man. Well, the risotto arrived, and while I was looking at it, I found a hair in mine. I called the waiter, pointed out the mix-up, and he very casually said, "I'll take it out right away." He went to the kitchen and came out 10 seconds later with the same dish, but without the hair. I was incredulous, and while I tried to call him back, my partner told me to call him back because there was one in hers too. So I called the waiter and pointed out his misconduct, and the other hair took our plate back and finally remade it for us. I want to emphasize that, in my opinion, a hair on a plate can happen. Those who work make mistakes (two, perhaps, is a bit too many). It was the way the problem was handled that was wrong. In such a well-run place, there shouldn't be someone with such little experience waiting tables, or at least they should be supported and trained in how to handle issues. I want to emphasize that the other two waiters, the young woman and the gentleman, were impeccable and tried everything they could to resolve the situation, and succeeded. In fact, I highly recommend dining here (hoping this handling of issues isn't routine but simply a mistake by one of the staff members). I thank Chef Lorenzo for the gift.

Experimentation shouldn't be on paying customer. Really likeable place and some great food but marred by some hideous flavour combinations. The white chocolate and curry was particularly heinous
