Ristorante di ottimo livello. Cucina tipica di qualità.
I discovered this place during a car rally. We had an appetizer of salami, cheese, and speck. Followed by polenta, polenta concia, veal stew, venison, and sausage with tomato sauce. All the dishes were excellent and plentiful. The restaurant is located in a small village surrounded by greenery. I recommend this place to all tourists passing through the area. I will definitely be back.
Trattoria Martin is a magical place full of atmosphere. Located in a small mountain village near Sestriere, it has all the flavor of tradition and conviviality. Gabriella, the owner, is a very kind person and very attentive to the needs of her customers. The entire organization is punctual and very well taken care of. Excellent place both in summer and winter, so beautiful is the place. Highly recommended!
A perfect place to eat polenta in mountain!
Lovely place, lovely food. It might not have any space outside if you go there without reservation, but they found a table inside for us without problems (we went on a Saturday). The beef stew with polenta was scrumptious, one of the best I have ever eaten.
Beautiful place, welcomed by a very warm and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for those who like to get lost. The owners are very friendly and equally nice, and not to mention the food...WOW!! EVERYTHING is sublime and in my opinion it's not too expensive and everything is proportionate. Highly recommended for all lovers of the mountains and good food.
Simply impeccable!! We go there at least once a year, and I have to be honest, this time I was worried about some negative reviews I'd read... 😅..but either they confused the location or I can't explain....this year too they were unsurpassed... what can I say...you know when you happen to find yourself in some restaurant around Italy and maybe they offer you polenta? Once you try it, the first thing that comes to mind for my wife and I..."there's no comparison with Martin's though." For us it's been like this for about 18 years 😁... Stunning and characteristic location, friendly, polite and attentive staff, top-notch raw materials, varied menu, with simple but expertly cooked dishes, there's something for everyone.... excellent wine selections too.... reservations are essential!
Excellent cosy place in à very cosy setting, excellent food and wine and a cheerful host. The only downside is that they open only in the weekends, otherwise we would have dined their every day!
Very nice restaurant with great variety of local food. Location is great, awesome views.
First-class
Voto: 8,5
Good traditional cuisine in a very welcoming and peaceful setting in a charming village. Average prices and good service.
I have been there ordering some entree then tajarin ai funghi porcini: The entree was delicious, I appreciate the apparence of the plates as well as the location, well curated. Price is quite ok slightly higher then the competitors but the quality makes the differences from the rest. The porcini was delicious and fresh and the polenta with Deer was also good.
I've ordered polenta with 4 different sides (cheese, veal, deer and sausage). Paid €25 for it and the portion was massive. My husband took only polenta with deer meat which was €19. Big difference on the portions as his plate included just one side and it's €6 cheaper. It should be less costly, just my opinion. As for the drink, we've had Barbera D'Alba... The taste was amazing.
A restaurant set in a superlative context. Exposed brick vaults. A mountain village with an exceptional character. High quality food with a selection of wines that is anything but predictable. Porcini mushrooms, polenta with game, tagliatelle with mushrooms. And then zabaglione and grolla dell'amicizia. Before dessert, grapes offered by the house. Friendliness, experience and courtesy. The cost is not low but proportionate to what you eat and drink. The only negative note, if I may say so, was the difficulty in getting an invoice. Overall, however, it is a place to try and try again.
Excellent raw material well cooked. Very welcoming place furnished in local style. Friendly and willing staff
We've been to this restaurant many times, and it was always delicious! They've probably changed chefs, because the food today wasn't up to par with what it used to be... I'm really sorry, because it used to be a regular for us! My girlfriend had the polenta concia, which was very grainy and really not very good. I had a rib-eye steak, which unfortunately was very fatty and poorly cooked, not very tender... It wasn't good quality! Again, I'm really sorry, because we really liked this place!
