The service here has been pretty good recently. It is definitely less expensive to eat there than to order from them. Ordering is usually really expensive for some reason, but when I went in person, it was much cheaper and honestly fairly priced. I do not really like most of the food there apart from a couple of things. The udon bulgogi they have right now is AMAZING. Their spicy mayo is always so good, I love dipping my fries in it, though that is probably just my preference. Their pork buns are pretty good too.

I don’t usually write reviews, but Bonchon Chicken absolutely deserves the hype. Their food is super tasty—crispy, flavorful, and seriously addictive. The Korean fried chicken is on another level: perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and that soy garlic glaze? Unreal. Every bite is full of bold flavor. The sides are great too—crinkle-cut fries, pickled radish, and kimchi coleslaw pair so well with the chicken. I also tried the bulgogi fries, and wow… just wow. Service was quick, the place was clean, and the portions were generous. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, Bonchon hits the spot every time. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Place was very nice! Calm-ish atmosphere at 7:30 on a Wednesday. We ordered the tteokbokki, garlic soy boneless wings, and french fries. Just warning, the tteokbokki is spicy, but very very delishious. Fries were very good and wings were delicious as well. The price is very reasonable, I was expecting the food to be expensive but the tteokbokki was only $12 and the wings were approximately $13. Our waitress was very kind :). Definitely recommend if you’re just trying something new. I know they’re known for their fried chicken but I couldn’t resist trying something Ive never had before and it was definitely worth it. Will be coming back soon hopefully!

Came here for lunch between classes, convenient and walkable from Davie Hall. The view of campus and general green space is very pleasant and the seating was decently spaced. There was only one server during lunch time so I felt bad for them. The lunch specials are very affordable and I definitely enjoyed the Korean Tacos with fried chicken. They didn't have the street corn at the time so I'd like to come back to try that and a mopo corn dog. *Update. Came back to try the corn dogs and they were great! Super filling, I could barely finish my second one. The cheese inside is savory, the outside is crispy. More staff this time so that was good. I'll definitely continue visiting.

Food here was pretty good. I liked the steak tacos. The coleslaw taste pretty good as well. Chicken wings was offered in two flavors. Soy Garlic and hot. Then a mix between the two. The server warned that the hot was pretty spicy. So went with the Garlic flavored and was pretty tasty. A little ok the saltier side. The service here was great! Nice seating indoors and also some benches outside as well. Would recommend the steak tacos!

Wow ,seriously this is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had!!! Every single thing we ordered was so delicious and fresh. They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were fast and friendly and we’ll definitely be back!!! I’d give them a 5 star rating if they had a kids menu , and also some of the main entrees are a little overpriced. But again the food is really really good!

I loved my experience here. I ordered wings!!! Amazing!!!!!!!!!! The garlic or the spicy and they are QUITE SPICY! We also got fried rice and French fries. Quite DELICIOUS! Parking can be a nuisance since it is Franklin St. But still tasty nonetheless.

The chicken was crunchy and fresh but flavorless. I had two types. One had red pepper sauce on it. The other was plain. The one with red pepper sauce was good. Unfortunately the regular fried had absolutely no taste. No salt or anything. I didn't even taste chicken. Was disappointed.

So I typically order at Bonchon pretty often, and it’s my go to spot with my cousins. I’m a huge fan of this place, that I quite literally just ordered last Saturday for some 10 pc spicy chicken strips. It was fantastic and spicy. But I’m disappointed about today. I ordered around 11:34am EST, at the Chapel Hill Location on Tuesday of June 25th. I’m disappointed in my boneless chicken I had ordered. I thought it’d be crispier than the strips, so I wanted to try it. Immediate disappointment because it tasted overcooked and almost just burnt. I spit the food out because I tasted more of the burnt flavor than the flavor of soy garlic/spicy. It wasn’t appetizing nor appealing. It would also seem that some of the pieces were seen smaller than the rest, because it was cut up smaller to make up for numbers of 12 pieces. Incredibly disappointed. I’ll rethink ordering from this specific location. I’m sorry, and I’m sorry for spending my money on something like this.

We got there before the rush the waiter didn’t service us for 10 mins. After the waiter only served us a glass of water, more people came in and were approached and served way before us. They got their drinks their utensils and their food while we were still waiting on our waiter to get our order. We waited for about 40mins before we actually got served. When the food finally came the rice was cold like it was sitting or probably returned by a customer the fries were stale. Awful experience!

Tonight, I ordered online at Bonchon as I have done many times before. I had the confirmation and the charge on my card. I arrived to pick up my order and the woman could not find my order. I showed her my confirmation, order number, and charge to my bank account. She said, "it's not here, and not in the system". Walks away to seat other people and completely did not care. I was really disappointed in their service tonight and it will be a long time before I go in there again or recommend it. Even if it was a computer error pretending to care instead of just walking off and brushing it off like it didn't matter or was my fault is not okay.

I really wanted to love the food here. The ambiance is wonderful. I ordered the bulgogi bibimbap with a side of kimchi. It looked and smelled wonderful. However, the rice was far too crispy to enjoy and the bulgogi was mostly gristle. That and paying 3.50 for a tiny side of kimchi is wild. I’ve never had to pay for kimchi with bibimbap before. Don’t waste your money.
