Great find! The location seems rustic, but you can immediately sense the attention to detail. The service is friendly, attentive, and, above all, cheerful (a rare commodity these days). The food... excellent! I highly recommend it!
A restaurant serving local specialties; we went there on Sunday, recommended by the owner of an antique shop. A delicate yet bold lunch, truly delicious. The restaurant is very well-maintained, and the staff are very kind and friendly. A very nice thing is that while you wait, after placing your order, you're offered a small platter of cured meats and a basket of delicious bread and breadsticks. Another lovely thing about this restaurant is the view from the balcony, a picture-perfect view.
For those who love fine dining and local specialties, I highly recommend this restaurant. We had a wonderful time, and the service was impeccable. Prices were absolutely reasonable, not excessive. The wait was minimal, and the customer service was truly courteous and attentive. The flavors are all from the Chiavenna Valley, and the owner's friendliness complements the atmosphere beautifully. They were truly excellent. Finally, the restaurant was very, very well-kept. Our compliments. We will definitely be back.
The choice of this restaurant was random, but the result was excellent. While waiting to order, we were offered salami and prosecco accompanied by a basket of a mix of breads and breadsticks made from different flours. We chose the tasting menu of typical local dishes, and the owner explained each course to us with infinite kindness. We ate well and spent a fair amount... ..I highly recommend it. If you're lucky enough to find a table outside, overlooking the Mera, it's truly the best 👍🏼
We had asparagus, pizzoccheri and costine ... everything to die for. Very friendly and attentive service in a traditional setting sitting over the river. Fantastic experience!

They have a Beautiful interior and a balcony with a view of the river, not a lot of non meat options but the ones they have are delicious. I imagine the other options are just as good and not so pricey. Good service and great wine options too.

The best quality, highest value food I've had in northern Italy. I've been to AL Cenacolo at least 5 times and it's always a great experience!
Beautiful location in the historic old town with a balcony directly overlooking the gorge. Very friendly staff and a small, but excellent menu. A charming touch: the cover charge is €5, but includes a glass of Prosecco, salami, and a lovely assorted bread basket. The food is of good quality. The price is fair and offers excellent value for money. We felt very comfortable and will definitely return.
If you enjoy being racially abused at your table by a drunk boss, you've definitely come to the right place! The owner displayed completely antisocial behavior, the likes of which I've never witnessed before. Those with hypertension should be careful with food that tends to be oversalted! Never again!!
Forget about it. I’m a usual customer and I get there every few weeks; despite making reservations they always push back if you get there after 8.30pm, despite the fact they are open till 10.00pm. Food is good, I used to often go there with my friends but the way they treat us just because we asked to order food at 8:45 was outrageous. My friends and I used to go there a couple of times a week…..they now lost a group of 10+ people. Avoid it
