I feel like this place lives up to the hype, very worth it. One of the best burgers in Chicago, but their sides are outstanding as well. Delicious brussel sprouts and mushrooms. Wish I had saved room for their impressive desserts. Next time.

Visited for the first time for our Valentine’s Day celebration this year. We arrived right at open since we were unable to secure reservations and were able to be seated in the parlor within 5-10 minutes of arriving. From the start, everyone was accommodating and friendly. We had our coats checked and our server, Katelyn, was so attentive and friendly. We ordered 4 different cocktails and each was better than the next. To eat, we had the roasted bone marrow as our appetizer then ordered the ribeye steak frites as our entree. The meals were prepped to perfection and left us wanting to return. The ambiance was just right. In the parlor, the lighting is dim to create a speakeasy vibe and the music is the right type of music to fit the place without being too loud or distracting. Bavettes met and exceeded all expectations we had & we look forward to returning! Would recommend to anyone who is seeking lovely, fine dining experience.

We had an absolutely cozy and romantic vibe here. Even though it was busy, the place was quiet and very comforting. Service was exceptional and our waiter was very welcoming and polite. The oysters were to die for. Filet mignon and the skirt steaks were so juicy and delicious. Truffle Mac n cheese and creamy spinach melted in our mouths! Everything was so so so good! Thank you Bavettes!

We didn't have resos, but we popped in for a bite. We waited 45 mins to be seated. Barbara was our server and she was Delightful. One of the hosts, Justin, was a gem. We ordered the brussel sprouts, mac & cheese, fries, wagyu burger, porkchop, & chicago cut ribeye. Everything was flavorful and done perfectly. Our bill for everything (excluding tip) was about $335. We had a great time.

This was my second visit to Bavette Bar & Boeuf, and it was just as great as I remembered from the first time I dined here. The dry-aged bone-in ribeye was outstanding, perfectly cooked and brushed with a rich mix of compound butter and bone marrow that added incredible depth and flavor. The sides were just as memorable. The truffle mac and cheese was the star of the table, while the creamed spinach with Gorgonzola was a close runner-up, creamy, bold, and perfectly balanced. The mashed potatoes were smooth and buttery, with roasted garlic cloves adding a nice contrast of texture and sweetness. To finish, the caramel gelato was absolutely decadent. The perfect ending to another exceptional meal. Bavette Bar & Boeuf continues to deliver on every level. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates top-quality steaks and thoughtful, well-crafted sides.

Quintessential Chicago steakhouse, dark, wood paneling, old school feel, and some of the best food and service in Chicago. To start with drinks order an espresso martini or Penicillin, they are both great. For food I'd start with the Wedge Salad(5/5), has amazing bacon, have them chop it for you and the group so it's easier to split. Also the table sourdough bread (5/5)with butter is a must. We also got the burger and fries split four ways (5/5), can't go wrong to start there. We also did the fried chicken, (5/5)and their bone in ribeye (5/5), as a side we did the creamed spinach and truffle Mac and cheese, both were show stoppers and I'll order them everytime. I'd skip the bone marrow, but I personally always think that's overrated to get anywhere. For dessert get the carrot cake, chocolate cake, and the apple pie and ice cream was one of the best ever! Reservations are needed or you are waiting for hours, they book about 21 days in advance so keep an eye out.

We came for my Girlfriends birthday. Lets talk about great service and amazing food because this place had it all. The ambiance, music sounds as if it’s a live band with huge chandeliers dimmed down and mini lamps at each table. Our dinner guide Eric was exceptional, with the explanation to the recommendations it was an experience to have. Now the food was like no other. We had the 16oz bone in filet, char grilled broccoli, truffle mac and cheese, and garlic mashed potatoes. A half dozen oysters. A Bavette’s Punch, a Rouge Royale, and a Expresso Martini. Apple Pie w/ Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

If you haven't tried Bavette's you are missong out!! . This was not just dinner, this was by far an entire experience and it was amazing. The dry-aged bone-in ribeye was truly exceptional. You have plenty of time to plan as reservation are 20+ days out, which is a testament to its popularity. The dining experience was further enhanced by the great service. Every aspect of the meal, from the perfectly cooked steak to the attentive service, was enjoyable. Overall, it was a truly memorable dining experience that I highly recommend.

Our experience at Bavette’s Restaurant was truly one of a kind. We came here after seeing Phantom of the Opera, and it was the perfect way to finish our evening. We started with the steak tartare paired with their homemade sourdough bread, which was absolutely delicious. For our main course, we shared a ribeye with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The ribeye was cooked medium and done to perfection. The Brussels sprouts lived up to the hype—truly excellent—and the mashed potatoes were rich and flavorful. For drinks, I had the French cocktail, which was delicious. With dessert, I enjoyed an espresso martini alongside the dessert of the evening: an apple pie served with vanilla ice cream. Even though we could only finish half, it was incredibly delicious and perfectly executed—the ice cream was excellent as well. The setting is perfect for a date night or a more intimate dinner. Overall, it was an unforgettable dining experience and a wonderful way to end a special night.

Always amazing! Delicious, consistent and high quality! Delicious steaks, cooked to perfection! And had the pleasure of having the burger for the first time at the bar downstairs and Tara is phenomenal!!! She helped us navigate the menu to try some fabulous cocktails with our meal and provided the perfect balance of pleasant chit chat with professionalism and poise.

food: everything tasted sooo good, insanely well cooked. my favorite was probably the truffle mac and cheese service: the service was very good and my server was super attentive and nice, gave us a free dessert for anniversary ambiance: the vibes of the interior are so classy and cozy. great establishment

What can I say about this place? Go here and have a great time, good steak (and bone marrow), delicious wine, and a delicious chocolate cream pie. Sat at the bar and had the Lyonnaise Salad and glass of the table red (tempranillo) to start. Followed by ribeye steak frites with bone marrow. The steak was tender and expertly spiced and the bone marrow was buttery heaven. Finishing off the meal with chocolate cream pie was delightful, and proved to be too much food for one person! To accompany the amazing food was the great service and dark atmosphere - transports you to a jazzy and moody experience - perfect for a steak house. Loved the friendly and attentive bartenders. Recommended.

Delicious food, wonderful service. Thank you, Meredith and to the manager. Came here for my anniversary and we were taken care of in the parlor. Ordered the baked goat cheese which kind of reminded me of shakshuka, and the mixed green salad with apples, and steak frites (American Wagyu) with a garlic enhancement. I really enjoyed my dinner here and would go back. They paid great attention to detail and brought us delicious vanilla ice cream to celebrate our day. It was also delicious and you could taste the fresh vanilla bean. I’ll be back!

Now this may be my new favorite restaurant. I’ve been on a mission to try all Hogsalt restaurants ever since I tried Trivoli Tavern for the first time last year. Bavette’s is taking it!! Visited last night and tried the salmon Caesar which is pretty consistent across all Hogsalt restaurants (I’ve tried it at Gilt Bar & Trivoli as well and it’s always phenomenal), the wagyu steak tartare, the burger and the ribeye steak frites. 10s across the board! I also loved the moody lighting and the service was absolutely fantastic. I also appreciate how they always give ice cream for special occasions! Can’t recommend it enough. I’d be back here multiple times a month if it weren’t so expensive lmao

Super exquisite place for a steak. Highly recommend bow marrow, it comes six cutting in half mellows. If that’s too much for you order a normal steak with us two add-ons would be a better choice. The most astonishing dishes is salad. Highly recommend.

Sigh. Bavette’s. I miss you. We definitely ordered too much and I regret nothing. One of the best meals of my life. We started with the wedge salad - chopped up for ease and the BACON! So so delicious. It was thick cut and a bit sweet and absolute perfection. Paired well with the crab avocado salad. Crab cake was moist and the accompanying sauce was so tasty we saved it for the fries. The highlight of the meal, by and far, was the 42-day dry aged ribeye. I’ve never had steak so incredible before. I don’t like steak. But I LOVED this one. Every bite made me pause and contemplate how beautiful life is. The depth of flavour and marbling was just. Ugh. Get it. The double Wagyu burger was well done too, but we honestly did not need to add both the bacon and egg. We were visiting from out of town and in a food frenzy, it was a bit too rich with all of it. Maybe just the bacon, or just the egg, but it didn’t really need both. Obviously still ate it all. The sides were fantastic, the Brussels sprouts paired well and the truffle Mac was very truffley. I couldn’t breathe very easily by the end of the meal, so we got the carrot cake to go. I’m SO glad we did, it was divine. Service was professional, not very warm but fine. You can tell it’s a well oiled machine and that they’re used to being incredibly busy. Loved loved loved it 🩷🩷

We were in Vegas visiting from chicago and decided to go to bavettes because we know the chicago one well. I have to say I think the Vegas might even be a smidge better even though they are both fantastic! Our waiter and his assistant were amazing and I regret that I don’t remember their names. The place is gorgeous and we sat in a big red velvet booth that was so comfortable. We were traveling with our two youngest daughters, one is 7 and one is 14. The 14 is a carnivore and loved her steak and the waitstaff treated her so well. Some nice restaurants treat her like a child and think she won’t have the palate to appreciate good food. This was not the case here. They were so kind and respectful of her and she ate every bite of her filet. The drinks were excellent, I had the punch and my husband had the margarita. When I say that I will dream of the truffle Mac and cheese, brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes til next time we’re at Bavettes. Even though I like my steak medium well and usually find it cooked way under I was so happy my steak was the perfect temp. Over all it was an excellent experience!

The dry aged bone-in ribeye was cooked to perfection. So flavorful it didn’t even need the sauce. Would recommend to anyone looking for great food and drinks, and a cozy ambiance that is not pretentious or stuffy.

FABULOUS!!!! Absolutely one of the best meals we have had while traveling. We arrived at 4 and sat at the bar. Tara S was so cool, down to earth, but knew her stuff. She let us know that they will do small portions of larger dishes, which allowed us to try quite a few things. Everything was spectacular! Highly recommend the sourdough, fried chicken, and the roasted bone marrow!!!

Spent my birthday here. The vibe was incredible! Everything was great. Definitely lift up the hype. Surprisingly the chocolate pie was my favorite. So smooth and rich😍

We liked everything we ordered. The steak was exceptionally good! I was biting on the ribeye bone just to make sure that none of the delicious meat went to waste. We sat at the bar. The service was very good. The bartenders were busy but very attentive. We enjoyed watching them making the drinks.

10000000/10 experience will recommend to anyone. My wife and I came here to celebrate our wedding day and everything exceeded expectations. The staff is extremely well trained and professional. Meredith was our server, she was great! Food was absolutely to die for. We got the sourdough bread which was crunchy yet fluffy and warm, the wagyu burger, filet mignon, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and a couple oysters which were some of the freshest oysters we’ve ever had. Table wine was delicious. All of this for just under $170. 0 complaints, worth every penny. They even treated us to a complementary ice cream! Would come back again on an even emptier stomach.

Came here for our anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint! We didn’t have reservations but managed to snag a table when we walked in. Ordered too much but there were no regrets. Everything we had was excellent. Customer service was fantastic as well. Here are some pics with quick descriptions in the captions. Can’t wait to come back!

We celebrated my birthday at Bavette’s and it was delicious! We had the sourdough bread, the salmon Cesar salad, the bone marrow and the burger. The atmosphere is unique, and the service was great. The wine and drink menu has a variety of spirits that pair perfectly with your meal.

Bavette's is hands down my number one steakhouse in Chicago, and that’s saying a lot because I’ve been to almost every steakhouse in the city. I came here for my birthday on a Wednesday night and the place was absolutely packed — which tells you everything you need to know. Make a reservation, even on a weekday. Let’s start with the most important thing: the steak. I ordered the ribeye and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The crust, the temperature, the smoked flavor — flawless. It was seasoned perfectly on its own. They do give you steak seasoning on the side, but honestly, you won’t even touch it because the steak needs nothing extra. Just incredible quality and execution. Based on the steak alone, it has more of a smoked flavor. I added roasted garlic as an enhancement and you don’t need it. Unlike many high-end steakhouses that can feel stiff or intimidating, Bavette's is warm, welcoming, and more casual in the best way possible. It feels comfortable and inviting without sacrificing quality. You can relax, enjoy your meal, and actually have a great time. The atmosphere is perfect for fall or winter — cozy, lively, and exactly where you want to be on a chilly Chicago night. The drinks were excellent, the service was attentive and friendly, and everything flowed smoothly even though the restaurant was full. I can’t wait to go back, and this is officially my go-to recommendation for anyone looking for the best steak in Chicago. If you haven’t been yet, put it at the top of your list — just don’t forget that reservation.

It was so good, this is the only photo we got. The place was packed when we came on a Saturday night, so definitely recommend making a reservation! Portions are big, so going family style is the move. We started with the goat cheese and sourdough, which was a great way to kick things off. For mains, we went with a little surf and turf action: dry-aged bone-in ribeye and lobster frites plus their spiced fried chicken. For dessert, we had the apple pie and chocolate cream pie—both were hits. For drinks, we tried the Gimlet and Bavette’s Punch. Overall, the food and experience were really good. Would absolutely go back.

This place is an absolute must. It's definitely worth the hype. The food and service are impeccable. We did a share style with many options (fried chicken, steak, lobster, and a few appetizers). It was the perfect amount for 6 people. These pictures don't do the food justice as we dug in immediately. The food was too good to wait. The cocktails are equally as good. This place is definitely on the pricier end but if you're coming here, don't worry about the budget, enjoy your time. Genuinely one of the better meals I've had and the group that owns this never misses. They also own Trivoli Tavern which is a top 5 restaurant for me in Chicago. Anyways. To put it short, just go.

Had an amazing steak here with friends who were visiting Chicago. All the dishes we had were throughly enjoyed. Our server was good but a bit much at times. The atmosphere was nice with great background music a little too dark and a little tight with seating arrangement but overall relaxed and inviting. It is definitely worth trying especially if you got a taste for a high quality well prepared steak. I will very likely dine here again.

Bavette's shines and excels at three core areas when visiting a restaurant. The Food: Everything feels decadent and rich in flavor. The wagyu cheeseburger is probably the best burger I've had. Period. I almost kicked myself because I forgot to order the bacon with it, but luckily the Lyonnaise salad came with two thick slices. I enjoyed the ability to order a side of fried chicken so that I could try it. The sides are amazing. Even ingredients you might not like, for example blue cheese in the cream spinach, actually add to the dish. It was so creamy and didn't have that blue cheese funk. The Service: We had Erik taking care of us and I was impressed with his breadth of knowledge on the menu. No hesitation when asking questions. Very friendly and easy to talk with. The Atmosphere: The low light and decor had a nice warm feeling sitting at the table. Prepare for the food coma you're about to experience after this meal. It's worth it.

Bavette’s is hands down the best steakhouse in Chicago—no contest. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between old-school elegance and modern charm, with warm lighting and an effortlessly cool vibe. The steaks are nothing short of phenomenal: perfectly cooked, richly flavored, and among the best you’ll find anywhere. Every detail, from the craft cocktails to the impeccable service, makes dining here an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for the pinnacle of Chicago steakhouses, Bavette’s is it.

Excellent. We sat downstairs. Very cozy atmosphere. Food and service were excellent. Its obvious why Bavettes has such a good reputation. It's very well deserved and you can't go wrong with any meal at this restaurant.

Came here for my birthday dinner and absolutely loved it! The entire atmosphere feels warm and homey, making it the perfect spot for a special occasion. From the fresh sourdough bread to the incredible carrot cake dessert, every bite was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive, albeit a bit slow. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience — We'll definitely be coming back!

Bavette's just oozes class at every corner. The lighting is romantic. The staff was kind. Our server Jacob made excellent suggestions. The pacing was slightly slower than so many restaurants these days. It was a welcome part of the experience as it made us look forward to each part of the dinner. The small twists to classic dishes honered traditional chicago steakhouses while still maintaining originality. Go for the bone in ribeye.

We went on a Monday evening. Reservation was not available so we thought we'd try our luck at the bar since we're going on a Monday. Were we wrong! The place was packed and only by luck and at the right place at the right time were we able to score two seats. The bartenders were very attentive even though they were very busy and the one closest to where we sat allowed us to make casual conversations with him when we started a short conversation. Not only was he very nice but he also has a very nice voice. Their bone-in ribeye was very good and very lean. I didn't need to trim off any unwanted fat. The menu says it's 20 oz but it didn't feel like it. Maybe it's cuz we enjoyed it. The mashed potatoes and the charred broccoli were very good, too. The sides' portions were good, we didn't feel shorted on the quantity. We were fairly full and satisfied when we finished. The only thing I would like better is if the place was slightly brighter. At the bar upstairs was fine but downstairs is quite dark. I'd definitely recommend early booking of a reservation or if like me, you enjoy eating at the bar, either go earlier or hope to get lucky

The food blew me away — honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The bacon was so thick it felt like eating a pork chop in the best way possible. And the apple pie… unreal. I was literally sitting there thinking about God and how lucky I was to taste something that good. Service was on point, and the ambiance was perfect. So much aura. When I’m back in Chicago I feel it.

Been wanting to try this place for so long it's just hard to get a reservation for 2. When we saw an opening Saturday 9:30pm, we immediately took it. We order dry-age bone in ribeye, bone in filet mignon, truffle Mac n cheese, beef tare tare and crab cake. The steaks are amazing! Strongly recommend the ribeye(10/10). The bone in filet(9/10) is pretty big piece of meat, and I don't feel it's much different from regular fillet mignon. Ordered medium rare, they are so crusty on the outside and so soft on the inside. Absolutely great. Beef tare tare is good but nothing really special(7.5/10), I honestly prefer Korean style beef tare tare. Crab cake(8.5/10) was huge, definitely can taste the big chunk of meat in there. Truffle Mac n cheese(9.5/10) was so flavorful and rich. Absolutely great. The dessert was a little bit disappointing though, the lemon meringue pie, the meringue has very eggy aftertaste. Tried to take more than 3 bites but failed. But still, love the steaks, good appetizer. If next time I run into another opening randomly, I may still book it.

Bavette’s is one of those rare spots that nails atmosphere, service, and food all at once. The moment you walk in, the dim lighting, jazz, and vintage speakeasy vibe set the tone — it feels like stepping into a different era in the best way. The steaks are phenomenal: rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor without needing anything extra. Every side feels intentional, every cocktail is crafted with care, and the whole experience has this effortless elegance that makes the night feel special. Service is smooth, attentive, and genuinely warm, which just elevates everything even more. Whether you’re celebrating something big or just treating yourself, Bavette’s delivers a memorable meal from start to finish. If you want a steakhouse that goes beyond “just a steakhouse,” this is the place.

We came here for our anniversary and honestly it was such a good choice. The vibe is really nice, lights are pretty dim and cozy, super good for date night. We ordered the bone-in ribeye and it was sooo good. Very tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Cooked perfectly. One of the better steaks I’ve had for sure. Dessert ice cream was also really good, not too sweet, just perfect to end the night. Overall we had a great time and would definitely come back again.

We were able to visit Bavette’s as someone had gifted us a gift card and we were celebrating the 50th birthday of a dear friend. We chose to split their viral cheeseburger as an appetizer which was a wise choice. It was delicious, but quite rich. As we were also sharing several side dishes, my spouse and I decided to split the bone in filet mignon. That filet is one of the best I’ve ever had! I’m not sure how I missed pictures of the side dishes, but everybody enjoyed the mac & cheese and the potatoes. While the carrot cake was my favorite dessert, the apple pie with caramel, while pricey, was delicious

From the warm lighting, cozy ambiance to the the amount of care in presentation, taste, and balance in each dish here, this restaurant continues to be one of my favorite in all of Chicago. While you won’t go wrong with any dish on the menu, some of my favorites include the baked goat cheese, the smoked salmon caesar salad, and the fried (boneless) chicken. One thing that doesn’t nearly get enough attention on the menu is the burger. It’s truly exquisite. I recommend splitting it into halves or quarters to share, because it’s so rich but so delicious.

Out thanksgiving dinner visit to Bavette’s could not have been better. On our arrival the hostesses were polite and gracious. Offered to take our coats and brought us to our table right away. This really set the tone for the evening. The restaurant is warm and cozy and lets you know you are some place special. We ate downstairs in the parlor. It’s a bit quieter down there and was perfect for our party of 4. The server was knowledgeable and gave us some great recommendations on what steak to order. We ordered a lot to share and try. My favorites of the evening were the shrimp scampi , steak tartare and the creamed spinach. To me the absolute DO NOT MISS was the burger with bacon and egg. One of the best dishes I’ve ever had and DEFINITELY the best burger ever.

Amazing atmosphere for dinner. The food was great. Highly recommend getting the sourdough bread for an appetizer. We both go steaks that were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were fantastic. If you can get a reservation it’s well worth it. We will be back!

This was our second time visiting Bavette’s and somehow it was even better than the first! We tried getting a reservation for Valentine’s weekend and let me just say… getting a table here is harder than scoring concert tickets. 😅 Quick tip: they open reservations 21 days in advance at 9am. I literally had a timer set and managed to snag a table for two! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside dark, moody, romantic, and perfect for a date night. To start, we ordered a dirty martini and an old fashioned, both were perfectly made and delicious. For our appetizer, we had the salmon crudo, which was super refreshing and practically melted in my mouth. For dinner, I ordered the skirt steak frites cooked medium, and my husband had the ribeye, also cooked medium. We shared the truffle mac and cheese and baked sweet potatoes as sides. Everything was absolutely incredible. The mac and cheese was one of the best I’ve had in a long time! The sides were very generous portions, and we were completely stuffed by the end of the meal. Overall, it was the perfect early Valentine’s dinner. Bavette’s never disappoints! ❤️

⭐️ Overall 9.2 out of 10 Everything about this experience was phenomenal. From start to finish, the food and service were completely dialed in. The service deserves special mention. The table was always clear, water glasses were always full, and the wait staff genuinely cared about our experience. Nothing felt forced or scripted. It showed in the timing, the attentiveness, and the overall flow of the night. The sourdough alone is worth coming back for. Easily the best sourdough I have ever had. Perfect crust, incredible texture, and full flavor. The truffle mac and cheese was excellent and refreshingly honest. You could actually taste real truffle, not the fake truffle oil gimmick a lot of places rely on. The creamed spinach was some of the best I have ever had. I am definitely biased because I love blue cheese and caramelized onion, but this was rich, balanced, and memorable. The brussels sprouts were the standout side for me and honestly the best brussels sprouts I have ever had. Absolute highlight among the sides. The Chicago cut ribeye was everything a ribeye should be. Perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and exactly what you want when ordering a steak at this level. Dessert was a strong finish. Both the lemon meringue pie and the chocolate cream pie were excellent. Personally I preferred the lemon, but they complemented each other beautifully. The overall vibe deserves credit too. Think super dark, very French, elevated steakhouse energy. It felt like what Wildfire aspires to be, but taken to another level. My personal highlight of the night was the smoked salmon Caesar. An insane flavor profile. Do yourself a favor and put some of it on a crusty piece of the sourdough. Thank me later. This place clearly cares about ingredients, execution, service, and atmosphere. One of the better dining experiences I have had in a long time and absolutely worth it.

Our party of 6 had the best experience there Friday for dinner. Everything was exceptional. I had the Chicken Diane, the others had the 6 Oz filet that was cooked to perfection. The sourdough bread was phenomenal, the corn, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and bone marrow were outstanding. The service was amazing. This was the best food we have ever tasted, ever!

Food is a 9/10. Sizzling shrimp scampi slightly overcooked (it comes sizzling, so it's still cooking, with forgettable pieces of garlic bread). Wedge salad was amazing. Crab cake was incredible. Ordered the petite filet mignon and dry-aged bone-in Ribeye. Both were excellent. Truffle Mac & cheese and buttery mashed potatoes. Chocolate creme pie for dessert. Service is outstanding; our server was knowledgeable about everything we asked. Never felt rushed. $500 out the door with tip. Took 3 weeks to get a table for 2 in the dining room. Going to Bavettes seems to be a rite of passage for those who love trying all the best restaurants in Chicago. Overall a wonderful experience.

There’s a reason why Bavette’s is considered the best steakhouse in Chicago. The ambience has all the bells and whistles. The drinks are made with precision and the quality of food is Michelin star level. With that being said, I was a little slightly underwhelmed by my stake in comparison to some of the other steaks I’ve had at other steak restaurants. It was a bit more fatty and tough than I would have anticipated, but sometimes that’s just the luck of the draw when it comes to a piece of meat. I docked one Star for that. Other than that, let’s be real, this is an incredible spot for an anniversary or a special date night. The service was impeccable and really made us feel special. Even with my experience with my steak, we will definitely be back.

Unfortunately our first experience at Bavette was okay, I had high hopes (& maybe that’s where I went wrong). Let me start with saying the service was great and we didn’t have an issue with how attentive the staff were, we also sat outside which meant we weren’t immersed in the atmosphere of the beautiful restaurant so perhaps it reduced our experience to the food standing alone. First of all my husbands fries were cold so the waiter immediately replaced them after we showed her and his rib-eye - meant to be rare was well done - I ordered the grass fed strip (medium) which was cooked perfectly and we also ordered the sprouts and house wine which were great. For a restaurant that pride’s itself on its steaks we expected better

I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. We paid $300, and the food was very, very low quality. I was really excited because it was supposed to be fine dining with high quality food, but instead it was below average and it even made my stomach hurt afterward. The burgers were below average (Shake Shack is way better) The chicken was also below average; it felt like I was eating at Cheesecake Factory, and honestly even Cheesecake Factory is better. Don’t set your expectations high for this restaurant. I genuinely feel like I was scammed 😂
