The food and staff are fantastic! We had the Carnitas Omelette and the Santa Fe Omelette also a side of sausage gravy to go with the biscuit = DELICIOUS!! The Pineapple Mango mimosa was amazing. Samantha is a friendly and wonderful server, too! Highly recommend this place for a yummy brunch.

Food was fantastic I can not explain to you how fabulous the hollandaise sauce is!! The corn beef hash is the best in town, and compared to other restaurants in town the price is fair!! The staff was friendly and the service was fast, the owner her self came by the table to see how we liked our food!! Highly enjoyed and will definitely be a returning customer!!

Amazing selections. Completely delighted by the vast amount of options. I ordered the Irish Benedict with crispy home fries and a Butterscotch/Carmel Latte with Almond milk. My server, Katie K was amazing! She gave me some great recommendations to help me choose my meal. Katie also recommend a couple of local businesses to check out. I will definitely be back to work my way through the enormous menu!

I have been recommended this restaurant more than a dozen times. Here we are! This place lives up to the hype. Absolutely amazing food. I ordered a Country Benedict with Sausage and my guest ordered a 1+1+1 combo. This place has such a warm and vibrant environment. Very welcoming and pleasant staff. Restaurant is always busy (which is usually a good sign unless you're impatient). Personally loved the food thoroughly. Country gravy was seasoned to perfection. I was very impressed. This place is must visit. 15/15

The three of us came in for breakfast. We were told it would be about 25 minutes so we waited outside. We were sat within 10 minutes. The restaurant looks clean. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, answering the few questions we had quickly. I had the Monte Cristo, a turkey and ham sandwich made on French Toast. The turkey looked like it was sliced by hand instead of using just pre-sliced lunch meat. The sandwich was great, they even included the raspberry jam that it traditional with a Monte Cristo. My wife had the San Francisco Special which is pretty much a "Joes Scramble" with mushrooms. she loved it. My daughter got Corned Beef and Eggs. The corned beef was cooked fresh and was juicy. The eggs were over easy as ordered. **Edit** We've eaten here three times now and each time was great.

I've been here twice and I LOVE it! Everything was delicious! They have real butter and half & half and a huge selection. There are two sections, bar style seating in front, and tables in the back. I'm from out of town, and I definitely plan on coming back every time I come to Chico. A real gem!

This restaurant is a favorite of me and my husband's. Food is beyond good. He gets steak and eggs. I get a variety of benedicts. Coffee is tasty. Service is attentive. Cool and comfortable with booth or tables. Great for meet up with friends to chat over breakfast or brunch. Priced right.

If you're looking for a delicious, classic breakfast the roost is the place to go. The service is prompt and friendly. There are three sitting areas. One is more of a traditional cafe dining area, the inside counter area has a 60's retro cafe appeal and when weather permits theres an outdoor patio seating area. The Roost offers some of the best biscuits and gravy around. Get there early or after the breakfast rush...or you may be waiting for a bit. Still...its worth the wait.

One of my favorite Breakfast/Brunch places in chico. If Mom's is too busy, it's a quick walk/drive to The Roost, which is on the same level. This place usually has open seats and quick seating for those hungry now. The Roost has eat-till-you're-stuffed delish breakfast/brunch/lunch menus, with some wilder but still delectable dishes. I ordered the Smothered Benedict Burrito, one of the odder options that I keep coming back for. The Burrito contains the usual Eggs Benedict culprits: ham, eggs, and swiss cheese; with a mild salsa, wrapped in a big-ol flour tortilla. Then completely "smothered" in their heavenly hollandaise sause. Pair with one of their creative mimosas or a local beers and you have yourself an incredible brunch. Surely to make everyone in your group happy. Totally worth taking a chance on, but bring your appetite as the servings are big.

Ordered a full stack of pancakes and Irish Benedict with corn beef hash. I liked my pancakes but these are massive and couldn’t finish them, so don’t fluff your feathers and order a full-stack like me. Their Irish Benedict was pretty good and actually their staff suggested that we should try it. Great place to grab a Saturday brunch.

This is not your best breakfast place in Chico, but it usually doesn't involve a long wait, credit cards are accepted and they serve beer. Kind of like a traditional diner, but nicer. Update: went in today 8/30 around 11am. We were sat right away. We ordered breakfast. Scrambled eggs were well done to the degree in which I wondered if they cared about presentation. Then my wife had a straight up burnt English muffin with her dish. Service was painfully slow and unemphatic, the server seemed to know there might be a complaint but not even In sorry about this. Everything also seemed to have gone up in price, the value was no longer there and the service was horrible.

We've always driven past The Roost when it was on Park Ave, but never stopped in. When we heard it flooded, and planned to move to a newer location, we vowed to stop in for breakfast... We finally did 1st thing on a Sunday morning. Arrived at 7am, and had our choice of seating in this spacious establishment. After ordering our coffee, my wife and I perused the generous menu which included more selections than I first thought, and made our selections... She had the breakfast special (2 eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and 2 petite cakes) while I had the Roost Omelet with hashbrowns and toast. We waited about 10 minutes for our breakfast as we enjoyed our coffee. Once on the table, we were surprised by the attention to detail and the attentive staff. The eggs/omelet were perfect, the hashbrowns crispy, and Her bacon was flawless (NO extra grease and crispy). The ingredients used appeared to be fresh and reflected in the meal. We finished, enjoyed another round of coffee, then paid our bill and left. Why NOT the last, 5th star, you ask? It's a bit pricey... there are cheaper breakfast restaurants in Chico, some with larger portions than the Roost. I have a feeling that the newer building, decorations, and accompaniments have raised their prices, PLUS they might have to compete with Cafe Coda 2 blocks away. All in all... it was worth the try after so many years, and we may be back for more at a later date.

My plate was made to perfection. I had the chicken fried steak with spinach and a biscuit. Not pictured is a cold glass of orange juice. Other people in my party had some issues with their orders not coming to the table correctly. Place looks new and is nice and clean. Staff was friendly.

The Roost Cafe was expensive on our first visit, and not worth the experience. Probably arriving after 1 PM had a lot to do with this since it was obvious they were gearing up to close. A friendly suggestion to return another time would have worked for the best for both parties. Cleaning had begun in earnest. Food: Park Avenue Omelet, $16.99. A mess of ingredients inside, cover with Hollandaise Sauce, served in a much smaller plate than other places. Accompanied by a Potato Pancake? English muffin lightly toasted. Tasted well enough but not impressive. 3 Stars. Asparagus Omelet, $15.99, with Rye bread that was not rye bread. No asparagus, had to be returned so the I want to go home cook could add very small diced pieces of the main title, very little amount on the side! Hash browns very dark, overdone. Mistakes occur at the end of the day, I suppose. 1.5 Stars. Service erratic as well, mop guy all around. Total $35 plus gratuity. A sign saying Best in Chico a little joke for us. 2.5 Stars.
