The food here is outstanding, good quality, they also restock the sashimi set really fast too, the ice cream is delicious and the meat is juicy, 5 star quality will definitely make my Asian friend going back here again The toilet is clean too, full equipment but doesn't have a bidet Have a 2 hours limit and have to pay more if you want to eat more than 2 hours, but to be honest I already full the first 30 minutes A bonus thing is they have Arabica coffee, have to make it on your own but its full of sugar, Coffee mate and milk to make the coffee amazing, have green tea too

My husband and I have been coming here for 2+ years. Their new location is even better looking than their last. Their food is amazing and delicious! I come here every time I’m craving sushi. Not the most in various selections but enough to satisfy your cravings. They have a variety of fruits, toppings and delicious desserts. Also, very great price and affordable. I always recommend this place to family and friends.

After my second visit to Buffet House, I can say this without hesitation: this place has officially earned raving review status. In fact, it’s quickly becoming my favorite Chinese buffet in the entire San Diego area—and that’s not a title I give lightly. Buffet House absolutely understands flavor, and not in the watered-down, mass-produced way that too many buffets fall into. This is bold, confident seasoning done the right way. From the first plate to the last, it’s clear that whoever is behind the recipes here actually cares about how the food tastes, not just how fast it can be refilled. The standout item—no contest—is the cream cheese wontons. These are not an afterthought side dish or filler item. They are an over-the-top explosion of flavor, perfectly crispy on the outside with a rich, creamy filling that hits all the right notes. Sweet, savory, indulgent, and incredibly satisfying. I’ve had cream cheese wontons at countless places, and these are easily among the best I’ve ever had—buffet or otherwise. Another absolute winner is the mushroom chicken. This dish deserves special recognition because it exemplifies what Buffet House does so well. The chicken is tender, the mushrooms are flavorful, and the sauce is balanced without being heavy. It’s comforting, well-executed, and the kind of dish you keep going back for “just one more bite” until your plate mysteriously fills itself again. What really impressed me on this second visit, though, is that even the items that aren’t complete winners still taste good. That’s rare in buffet settings. Usually there are clear highs and obvious “skip this” options. Here, even the dishes that didn’t completely wow me still had solid seasoning and thoughtful flavor. Nothing tasted bland. Nothing felt like filler. That consistency across the buffet speaks volumes. The buffet layout is well-stocked, the food is kept fresh, and everything feels clean and well-maintained. Drinks are self-serve, and the staff does a great job keeping things running smoothly without being intrusive. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming—exactly what you want when you’re settling in for a serious buffet experience. Now let’s talk value, because this is where Buffet House really seals the deal. $25 including fountain drinks. In today’s world, that price point is almost unbelievable—especially for food that actually delivers on quality and flavor. You leave full, satisfied, and feeling like you got more than your money’s worth. Honestly, that combination makes this place the best in the west as far as I’m concerned. Buffet House in Chula Vista isn’t just “good for a buffet.” It’s just good food, period. If you’re in the San Diego area and you love Chinese food—or if you think buffets can’t be done right—this place will happily prove you wrong. I’ll absolutely be back, and I have a feeling this is going to become a regular stop for me.

What a great buffet! The variety of foods and quality were excellent. The pork chops were perfect. And i loved both the broccoli and beef as well as the orange chicken couldn't be better. And that's just a few of the dozens of dishes to choose from. The staff was friendly and stayed on top of keeping the dishes cleared.

Went on a random Monday for lunch. It was busier than I expected but still easily found a table. The staff was attentive and friendly. Everything was good, highlight was a lightly fried fish. There were a lot of bones but was definitely worth the effort to remove them. There were a few items unavailable but again, it was pretty busy, so understandable. Total was $19 and change, left a cash tip.

I was headed a bit further down the road because I had a mean Mongolian Beef jones, but my wallet trumped my gut and I stopped here instead. Man, I am STILL full. Fairly strong variety, even with sushi, and everything tasted good, fresh, and was hot (well, not the sushi, Dingleberry!). Went back for seconds, so I guess that says everything. Probably not a hot date vibe, but plenty good to pack your family in a car and let your Mom spend your money like she likes to.

I wish the lady cashier can be more friendly or at least smile. She seems cold in no greeting or welcoming. Food super delicious and a large variety of dishes.

It definitely does get crowded, but the staff works fast to clear off plates and clean tables. The nice thing is that your drink is included in the price. Don't forget to leave a tip for the hardworking people there.

I believe this is one of the place to consider. They also give 10% off for seniors over 65 y/o. Staffs tries to refill food and clean your table every now and then. It’s not the best buffet place but definitely decent , affordable and reasonable. Will definitely comeback.

Even on a weekday, the place was packed, which shows how popular it is! ​The Good: ​Hot Food Selection: There are so many warm options to choose from, and everything in this section felt fresh and tasty. ​Dessert: While the dessert bar is simple, they do have a soft-serve machine which is always a hit! ​Price: Very budget-friendly for the amount of food you get. ​Feedback for Management: ​Sushi & Sashimi Section: This area really needs some attention. The sashimi did not look fresh and was presented in a way that wasn't very appetizing. I’d love to see higher quality and better presentation here. ​Maintenance: Some of the plates, utensils, and cups are looking a bit worn out and could use an update. ​Crowds: It gets very busy, so be prepared for a crowd even on weekdays!

It was clean during our visit and the staff was trying to do their best to keep it clean. Being asked to pay upfront doesn’t give a good image of the customers or the Neighborhood. Dinner and weekends are $18.25 and $1.30 11 and under. Such a great deal! Beverages is also included. Everything is self serve. You pay, seat yourself, get your own utensils, napkins, and condiments. They have silverware and plastic utensils. I went for the plastic because some of the forks I picked up, had lip stick stains or food still. Salad bar, fruit, dessert, sushi rolls. The seafood was decent with steamed clams, blue crab, salmon, baked scallops, coconut shrimp, shrimp w veggies, salt and pepper shrimp. The chow mein was surprisingly good. Same with the egg drop soup. It wasn’t overly salty, it was actually almost bland but perfect for us folks who like to season it. Food was being replenished very often and hot. Please be very careful because the floors are wet and slippery. It’s a disaster and slippage about to happen if they don’t put out the anti-slip mats in the aisles.

There is a decent assortment of food to choose from but nothing stood out as being AMAZING, just decent. But that's what we were expecting. One of their soda stations wasn't working well. Two of the drinks were coming out all watery and needed to be changed. I did not happen during the hour and half we were there. The staff is quick to clean up plates from your table but no one will ask you how your food is or anything. Again, didn't expect that as it's a buffet. Overall, not awful. We might try it again.

PS. There is a bottle of sriracha on the table which is not real sriracha. Close but some kind of knockoff.

needs improvement. way overpriced for the quality. good can LOOK visually okay. the sushi was better than most buffets. the orange chicken is actually really good! soda had no flavor. i loved the octopus/squid(?). would not go back unless i wasn't paying.

Also, the price is okay for an all-you-can-eat buffet, but I was a little upset when I was hit with a 15% tip fee! I understand if they bring you the food, drinks, desserts, etc., but it's a buffet; you have to get up and get all of your food, drinks, and desserts. So why the tip fee?
