Subway Citrus Heights Reviews
Thank you Nina for donating sandwiches and water for the homeless along with Dennis from Kr3w Kali. ❤️
This subway is best subway!! Nice customer service Mehla is good employee
I come here pretty often since I've lived around the corner several years, and in all of that time I have only ever had VERY minor issues. Like: They cut the one sandwich in half out of multiple that didn't want to be cut. Not a big deal. And a gal who was brand new who added oil/vinegar to both sandwiches when only one wanted it along with the salt and pepper on both. Easy mistake! The one other time it made a difference (i.e; misheard and put the wrong sauce that I really don't like), they happily tossed it and remade it right away. That's it! Imagine going to the same fast food for 4 years regularly and only experiencing 3 minor problems the whole time. That's impressive to me. The owner is a charming woman with a beautiful voice who is very outgoing and friendly, she always is quick to reassure about how strictly she manages quality anytime anyone asks. The place is almost always spotless, the one time I noticed any dishevelment was during a long rush where they were clearly reorganizing the lobby and couldn't finish right away. The staff have always been very nice, they manage big lines and rushes pretty well with some speedy sandwich making that doesn't skimp out like some other subways. I've never seen any questionable produce or cheeses, not even once, and their bread is always soft. My ONLY other possible complaint is that maybe half of the time one of the cookie types will be sold out - Usually the seasonal ones. The food is classic subway fare, if you like the sandwiches (I love them) then you'll enjoy here. Great spot!
Wonderful place with professional kind staff. You should be proud to have this business in your community. Who doesn't love some subway!!
Thank you Nina, you are wonderful. I just saw the video where you helped make 200 sandwiches for the homeless, then donated water. Bless you darling!

Never had a bad experience at a Subway, and the new subs are pretty good and a nice change. Unfortunately, several Subways refuse coupons, so there are only a few I go to. I wouldn't mind so much, except they were always nasty about it, to the point of avoiding the store and driving a. Couple miles further, or go to the Drive through Weinersciitzel, a dirt cheap hotdog and shakes place, with awesome prices for dirt cheap food. Plus, if you tell them to overcook the fries they do it no problem; I've never had a bad meal eating in or drive through.
I frequent this location. I also order via mobile app because my lunch time is limited. It’s hit or miss. I’ve noticed when the younger employees are working, the service isn’t as great. Sometimes the bread they use is super hard. Like they baked it too long. the sandwiches are slopped together. I usually add avocado and there’s always like one or two slices. Today the girl basically threw my order towards me in my car. She was worried about the boys in the car behind her. She also tossed my receipt at me too. I was kind of taken aback. I finally decided to leave a review today after this girl acted like that.
Service was polite, resteraunt seemed clean, sprite was out, but got rasberry iced tea instead, not a horrible option! My husband's sandwich was supposedly great, but I ordered and payed for double meat on a spicey italian. I only got the regular amount of meat, plus the bread was so dry it was like eating a Crouton. It was so hard on top... :/ I only came here because I needed to do an amazon return at kohl's. I will continue to order from my favorite subway on cirby and sunrise.

Bread was overcooked, but edible. Worst part was the owner sitting in the lobby on the phone dealing with employee drama very loud, yelling at the employee on the phone and the one working there and made my lunch date with my daughter super awkward and not enjoyable. 👎🏻
Woman behind counter would not speak with me until I repeated myself. I had only asked for the bread thus far and there were no other customers. Took her at least 2 minutes to understand footlocker sourdough, eventually just chose white. Not all ingredients available for listed sandwich, not informed until too late. No napkins available. Soda has no carbonation, employee won't acknowledge me about it. Very unsociable/ unwelcome atmosphere. Employee hovered at my table, waiting for me to get done, so she could sweep up. Felt VERY rushed. Did not enjoy food. Locked door after I left (8p) when they claim to be open until 930p. Doubt I will be back...

Major skimp on toppings even lettuce I was blown away. On a foot long I saw her literally count 4 pickles. Plus the prices are $3 more than other subways.
The service was good, the employee was friendly, and they pace themselves well here during lunch hour... That being said, I got a single chicken footlong toasted, and it came up to $18?!?! For that price I can go to a sit-down resteraunt, it's absurd. Honestly, it makes me not want to go to Subway anymore.

Subway's been around for a long time now. In the beginning, I bought their sandwiches often, and enjoyed them. Over the years, they've gone downhill. I stopped eating at Subway, there were much better choices elsewhere. Because of a coupon I received in the mail, I decided to give Subway another shot to see if it's any better. I went to this location on greenback Lane, in Citrus Heights. I had my coupon in hand, told the lady. I had the coupon as I was getting ready to start telling her my order when she cut me short to tell me they don't take coupons. They don't take Subway coupons. not even their own . I examined the coupon carefully, reading the small print and looking for any specific locations. There was nothing like that. With no locations included or excluded, I went to the closest location which was this one. The first thing the lady said to me, sorry, we don't take coupons here. Frustrating. I didn't know where to go. I wasn't going to drive all around town going from subway to subway to to find a location that accepted their own coupon. The lady was very unhelpful at this location. She wasn't going to tell me where I might try or how I could find out where the coupon was good or even to wait to see if I had any questions or anything else to say she went right back into the back of the restaurant. I was very disappointed. I was hungry and that was going to be my dinner. Instead of spending $3.99 for a 6-in sub as the coupon stated, I walked out of that store and went across the street to Safeway and had their deli make me a fresh sandwich for $8.99 with no coupon and thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt happier to spend $6 more at Safeway, and receive my sandwich exactly like I wanted and friendly service too. Better than anything at that subway then or ever cuz I won't be going back. It wasn't really the amount of money, More her rude curt response and deceptive murky advertising. Moral of the story: if you're going to eat at Subway, don't eat it this location. This Subway's owner would rather send away a new customer and provide poor customer service and send them to another deli rather than honor a legitimate coupon and have a new customer that would continue coming back. Every time I drive by that location the parking lot is usually empty. I no longer have to wonder why.
Don’t bother going .. Subway has gone way down hill! I used to be a fan, not no more!!! would go all the time especially on road trips but they all seem the same nowadays they completely skimp on everything just look at the nachos I received. Customer service is horrible, stores are filthy, they are never knowledgeable about anything you ask about you definitely don’t get your moneys worth 👎🏽
Why do you get Subway coupons in the mail? I decided to take advantage of it today. I arrived at the nearest address and they refused me and sent me away to cook, I won’t do anything! disgusting dump. check with Subway higher-ups

This subway doesn’t except mailed in coupons. Luckily, I asked before ordering because I’ve made that mistake before. She told me the subway in Walmart in the Costco parking lot takes the coupons. I decided to give it one more try. They do take them but only for veggie delight and cold cut. Worst business model. I did some research it’s been going on for years and it seems it’s not profitable for the franchisees to accept the coupons. My thoughts on that? It’s not my problem!
I don’t know why I continue to try to give the subway a chance. Food quality every time it gets worse and worse, not only that the girl behind the counter needs to check her attitude. WORST SUBWAY IN ENTIRE SACRAMENTO COUNTY!
I walk in and she is eating her lunch and it’s 5pm no one else is working with her. As she was making my sandwich I noticed the produce was not as fresh, sandwich sucked. Then she said sorry I was eating because I had no time, tables are dirty. Low on stock such as chips and no lids for drinks. She is just in her phone and a customer walked in as she ate she let them wait and did not wash her HANDS!!!!!
Ordered my usual BMT Deluxe...supposed to be twice the protein....but I used the $6.99 special.... Wow! Sandwich was empty, like I could barely see anything inside when I opened it. Seem light also.it was pathetic and wS yesterday's bread. Really...I'm a routine customer and will NEVER GO BACK TO ANY SUBWAY. WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT!!
The worst experience since I been here. They took an hour tried to rip my tomatoes and put it in the bread. The girl is very rude and disrespectful. She lucky she's not in hawaii this would not be tolerated. I will now never ever go to subway and let it be known do not go to subway on greenback. Subway u have lost loyal customers and I will try my best not to have any of my family members go there. Worst place to get a sandwich. Pretty sad. And I only gave 1 star cause I had to else it wouldn't let me write this review.
I had a terrible experience at this Subway. The employee charged me $22 for a single footlong sandwich without even telling me the cost upfront. No breakdown, no warning—just rang it up and expected me to pay. That’s ridiculous and totally unprofessional. I’ve been to many Subway locations, and I’ve never been charged that much for one sandwich. If there are extras or changes that make it more expensive, the staff should clearly explain it before making the sandwich—not just surprise you at the register. This felt dishonest and like they were trying to sneak in extra charges. I won’t be going back to this location again.
Just got two footlongs that were very disappointing. Incredibly skimpy subs. My wife's bread was burnt to a crisp, and the bread on my untoasted sandwich was very dry. There was almost no meat and very little toppings. Definitely avoid this subway, it's obvious its a franchise that is trying to cut costs.
Did not accept my coupons after I ordered. They should probably post at the counter that even though they are Subway, they don't accept Subway Coupons. Also, I believe it was the Manager making the sandwich for the customer before me. The customer took a phone call and was distracted so he did not notice that the manager who was making his sandwich, cut open an avocado which was brown and clearly rotten. Instead of throwing it out and cutting open a new avocado, he proceeded to put it on the customer's sandwich. I went to Subway because of the coupon, and was upset not only because I could not use it, but also because of the price for 2 (not even their premium sandwiches) which cost me $30. I could have gotten a nice meal at a nice restaurant for this price. The rotten avocado sealed the deal that I will never go back to this location. I did register a complaint with corporate (they don't have anyone answering the phones, just online complaint), but I did not hear back. I will never go to Subway again... very disappointed!!!

They got everything wrong on my delivery order. Italian herbs and cheese = I got white bread Extra marinara = no marinara My sandwich order was a “meatball sub with extra marinara (nothing else)” prolly the easiest order ever and they can’t get it right. The next time I ordered. I ordered a cold veggie to go and they charged me tax this is non taxable
