El Sarape Ciudad De México Reviews
I've loved it since I was a child; it's old now, but I love chorizo and cheese.
Super cool, everything super delicious and at a very good price, 100 percent recommended.
Everything there is delicious. It's a tradition that I hope will continue for a long time. The meat is top-notch. You pay for what you eat. Fair prices. I definitely recommend it.
Gringas are very tasty, the cheese they use is good
Ok
The cheeses here are truly incomparable; they actually taste good and are made using a different method. Everywhere else they just microwave them or throw them on a griddle and that's it. They're a must-try. I like the flavor of the tacos, but I feel the water, especially the horchata, could use a little more. But if you don't want any surprises, just order a soda and you're good to go.
Unfortunately, there are only two men serving; they are the taco makers, the waiters, and the ones who collect payment, so they neglect the diners.
Although it has been one of my favorite places for over 20 years, they have been declining in quality. The last two times I visited, the alambre no longer tastes like it used to, and honestly, they have overdone the amount of cheese they provide. They give you two mini flour tortillas and about 10g of cheese is only enough to fill a tortilla, and for the price, I am honestly considering not going back. They have raised the prices, lowered the flavor, and lowered the amount they serve.
The food isn't that great, but I can highly recommend the queso fundido and the rib tacos. Something I don't love about this place is that the food is very expensive for what you get. The portions are extremely small, and they give you a small amount of everything, even napkins and lemons. The staff is very attentive and friendly, but I honestly wouldn't recommend it unless you have no other option.
The service is excellent; you can tell it's an old business. The portions are incredibly small. I came at 4 pm and there was almost nothing left on the menu 🙁
It's a local taqueria that's been around for many years, and I'd always wondered how it survives, because every time I pass by it, it's almost empty, so one day I decided to try it. The service is very good, but the tacos are average and the price is a little steep for what they are; they lack some flavor. The horchata is delicious. It's good for a hunger pang, but there are better ones.
I visited this place more out of nostalgia after about 15 years of not going and I can say that I think they have good service and good quality dishes, the portion is small but they have good flavor, the prices are slightly high but not enough to scare you away, the choriquesos were what I liked the most
Some expensive
A horrible experience. I just went. I paid 333 pesos for two tacos with cheese, which their menu says are 53 pesos for two, but they charged me 53 pesos each, so 106 pesos for both. The same price was charged for two pork chop tacos with cheese, also 106 pesos. A gringa cost 40 pesos, which is just two tortillas with cheese and meat—not even a proper gringa. And 30 pesos for some spring onions that they didn't mention were extra. And three tacos al pastor that were "okay." I would recommend not going or complaining about the menu.
It's the first time I try them and it will be the last. The price is affordable and the portions are good, but the time I went, and it was almost empty, they took a long time first to bring me the menu and then about 30 minutes to give me my order, and even then they gave me the meat raw. I clarify that the alambres are not beef steak, they serve pork and they didn't have a good flavor, much less the "pastor" ones, which were the same as the steak but only the meat was raw and painted. And the other ingredients were also undercooked... Not recommended.
Although the service is friendly and attentive, the food leaves much to be desired. I bought two portions of French fries (each for $40) and they put them together. $80 worth of fries looks like one portion that would cost a maximum of $30 elsewhere (because they didn't even put cheese on them).
