As a Russian living in Belize, I was so delighted to have a meal in this restaurant. The food was amazing. The service (from Jaime) was even better! My Belizean husband loved the varenikis (his fav!). He also enjoyed the Baltika 9 beer. The medovik was really good too. Normally when I go to Russian restaurants in other countries, I see mostly Russians eating / working there. But here it was different. The staff were Mexican. And the customers were Mexicans. That was really touching for me. Also very surprised to know this place has several locations. I will definitely return each time I come to Mexico City

After a long journey to Mexico City, we were craving some comfort food, and Kolobok turned out to be the perfect spot. The Russian borscht and Uha were absolutely delicious—just like my mom's cooking. We also tried the beef stroganoff and vareniki, and everything was so good. 😊

Delicious Russian food. The salad Olivier was perfect. I got the goulash. I was expecting it to be a little more full of paprika, but everything was delicious and my dining companion agreed that his was delicious as well. He had chicken Kyiv.

A hidden jewel in the city. I lived for many years in an ex-soviet country where these dishes are easy to find, so I must say that this was a good find, not only can you find dumplings, soups, and every classic but it is also quite good flavour (probably thanks to the mexican ingredients?) I love that it is also adapted or “mexicanized” a little bit, they offer you sauce (salsa). And the pirog (empanadas?) are filled with local cheese (queso oaxaca) I tried couple soups, pirogs and would glady come back.

Great food though service isn’t okay and doesn’t meet my expectations. Food is served in a random order, you can get soup than salad or verse vices . Waiters do not take care of getting your table clear of dishes and you have to be prepared to do it by yourself, some food served warm. This kind of service is very typical for Mexican restaurants but not for restaurants in Russia . Though I recommend this place and I’d love to see Russian waiters there it would be more authentic

The food and service are great! We tried espinaca con queso, canapé de salmon, Borsch, olivie, pelmeni, pollo stragonov, pastel de miel (medovik), and syrniki. The espinaca con queso and pastel de miel were amazing!!! All the other dishes were very tasty too

Delicious meal, one of the best I’ve had in CDMX. The kvass leaked a bit on delivery and caused the bag to rip, but that wasn’t enough to knock off a star. The borscht was hearty and full of flavour, it paired well with the delicious rye bread they provided. The golubtsy (stuffed cabbage) was well made, the cabbage soft, but the meat not over-cooked. The real standout was the medovik rebanada (honey cake) which was to die for, it tastes like what I think graham crackers will taste like in heaven, with a light texture and a sweetness that is not overpowering.

Who would have thought that one of the best meals I've had in CDMX would be at a little Russian place where they play Russia-related youtube videos (with sound) on the tvs around the restaurant? The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, specifically Guillermo. We were welcomed and immediately treated with the loveliest rye bread I've had in a long time. The beer selection is somewhat small, but very good. I had a Russian stout (which turned out to be a 10% abv imperial) that went perfectly with the stuffed cabbage I ordered. You must get their honey cake for dessert too!

Justo a un lado de la plaza de Santa María. Las empanadas son deliciosas junto a su ensalada rusa. El café también es bueno y con buena carga. El único pero que tengo es un un guiso que nos llevaron ya que estaba tibio lo que me da a pensar que realmente era recalentado ya que acudimos a hora de apertura. Esto no es necesariamente malo ya que los alimentos aún se sentían frescos pero si es un descuido de servicio con el que deben tener más cuidado.

La comida, estuvo buena, pero tenia altas expectativas 1. Pedí una brocheta de cerdo, la carne dirigimos, aunque rico de sabor 2. Me trajeron una empanada de queso y espinacas fría. 3. Los ravioles calientes lo sirve con la crema helada. 4. El postre qué pedimos, el pan estaba rico con mermelada pero le pusieron crema agria fría. 5. La empanadas de carne muy ricas 6. Una sopa de pescado muy rica. Se tardaron muchísimo en el servicio No creo regresar la verdad

Restaurante ruso, puedes pedir en la barra una rebanada de pastel de miel, que es una de sus especialidades y también las empanadas, la de col con carne es muy buena. La ubicación es fantástica, ya que estás frente al kiosko morisco.

No es un lugar malo para comer, la comida es diferente ya que es una interpretación de comida rusa, los precios son elevados para las porciones qué sirven, la atencion es algo extraño, al llegar al restaurante había unas chicas de tes blanca y acento de papa en la boca, termine de comer y ellas siguen sentadas sin consumir y el mesero no se acercó a ellas pero en cuanto terminé de comer se acercó almenos dos veces a preguntarme si iba a ordenar algo más. Está por demás decir que no regresaré a este lugar no por su comida si no por la atencion de su personal.

El restaurante ofrece una ruta gastronómica que te permite probar diferentes platillos tradicionales. No me gusto mucho su comida, pero ya es cuestion de gustos. Recomendaciones: 1. Pide el pastel de miel. 2. Tour gastronómico: Si tienes buen apetito, no te pierdas esta opción. Te dejará lleno y satisfecho. Conclusión: Un lugar auténtico para disfrutar de la comida rusa.

Esta bueno y bonito pero apretadon , las empanadas son una sorpresa , las sopa de fermento solo para paladares extravagantes , los platos fuertes bien y no se si fue mala suerte mía pero un caldo con tilapia y salmón me tardo más de media hr en salir y una limonada mineral realmente llego sin gas. Limpio, ordenado y muy buenas atenciones .

Las empanadas y la sopa borsch muy buenas, las bebidas también. Baños limpios, y espacio agradable. El único punto negativo es al mesero que nos tocó, no quería darnos un vaso ni un plato extras, éramos tres personas y solamente nos quería dar dos. También fingía no escucharnos no vernos cuando le solicitamos salsa. Afortunadamente una chica se acercó y ella si fue amable y nos brindo un buen servicio.

Very good service, clean and quick service. Great waitress, very attentive. Homemade whole meal bread accompanies all dishes. Both goulash and stroganoff were very tasty. Mash potatoes seem to come from a packet/ this was the only let down if an otherwise very nice spot.

This was my first experience going to a Russian restaurants. While looking at the menu I was pleased to see many vegetarian options. I ordered the sopa borsch vegetariana with beets, cabbage, potatoes, carrots onions and cream. Vas very excited to see such a healthg option. It had no cream but I didn't mind as I like to cut back on animal foods when I can. It was honestly so good and I felt so healthy as I was eating it. It also went really well with the bread and butter with was soft and fresh tasting. My partner ordered some fried empanadas including the spinach and cheese, salted cottage cheese and the cabbage with meat. I had half of the spinach one but found the cottage cheese one too heavy after one bite. I appreciated how light and fluffy the spinach empanada was but I would not order much of it since I generally avoid all fried foods. My partner also ordered the Kvas which is a fermented bread beverage. When tasting it was somewhat reminiscent of a cross between beer and kombucha but a bit more sour - definitely an acquired taste - I didn't dislike it but I didn't particularly like how strong it was and it made me a little bit nauseous when having it with my meal since it overpowered the delicate flavors of the borscht. Perhaps it would be better with another meal. I still appreciate it being on the menu due to the health promoting aspects if it but would caution on those unfamiliar with the beverage. My partner even became noticeably tipsy and flushed while having a few sips of it (see picture). Perhaps this is not an alcohol drink in Russian standards but it may be enough for sone people to start noticing an effect. We both really liked the lime water which had the right amount of sweetness and perfect amount of lime without being overpowering. A little disappointed that it did not have very many chia seeds in it however since it was listed on the menu with chia seeds. There may have been 5 chia seeds total. Overall I was glad I came here since I liked my meal and would definitely order the borscht again but some of the foods are not my cup of tea. Still, there are many options so should have something for everyone to enjoy.

Pedí el menú degustación, la comida tenía buen sabor y realmente volvería a probar sus demás platillos, pero el servicio dejó mucho que desear. I want this place to be so much better than it is. And I feel bad leaving this review. This is actually my first time leaving a review here, though I do read many. I’m Polish, living in MX, and I go here in Santa Maria la Ribera to get my little fix of Borscht, Pelmeni, Gulasz, etc, some vodka, a Baltika, watch some weird circus videos on the TV. Nice atmosphere. These are things that make me feel some comfort, like home. But, seriously: this tastes like hospital food. It’s like what my grandma was eating when she was dying in hospice in the United States. The meat is all overcooked, the sauces are thin, unseasoned, the mashed potatoes like water. There’s a certain comfort in that maybe, even for me. But I prefer to eat well, especially if I’m paying to eat out. I’d suggest you visit Balkan Grill in Navarte and try their Gulasz and get a sense of what cuisine from this region (broadly speaking) can taste like, with real flavor. I have no affiliation with that place whatsoever, no friends there; but I just want people to eat something from this (general) region that tastes like it should. I send a little prayer that Kolobok elevates their game to deserve their reputation 🙏🏽 because right now they’re dialing it in and it makes me feel sad.

Oh gran decepción, visito este lugar desde hace más de 10 años y me gustaba pasar por las empanadas que eran una delicia, así fue por muchos años pero últimamente de unos años a la fecha las empanadas 🥟 cada vez son más pequeñas y así como se van haciendo pequeñas se van haciendo más caras, la última ves que pase quede decepcionada pero me aferré y quise darle una última oportunidad, pero NO, ya incluso las hacen al aventón, las de espinacas con queso traen las varas gruesas de las espinacas y las de manzana 🍎 traen los huesos (me salieron 3) 🤯 que les pasa, van de mal en peor, aparte todas grasosas. Ya no las recomiendo.

Are you kidding me? That's what I got with Uber eats delivery. Portions are at least 2 times smaller. I ate in restaurant before and they gave normal portions, but this...and I paid 900!! Pesos. Plus beefstroganof and mashed potato was too salty, I couldn't eat. really disappointed

It's a great place I've been going for a while, but since the pandemic it's the only bakery where I get asked for a tip when buying a cake to go. Not only that, the tip is upfront so if you don't tip them you can expect retaliation in the quality and time of your order. Overall it feels like extortion. Just be wary of this.
