Matcha Mio Ciudad De México Reviews
The matcha was good and refreshing. I got the matcha con menta with oat milk and it was lovely.
Their ceremonial grade matcha latte was perfectly made. The lavender matcha cake was delightful as well. I would go back.
I had a matcha latte with soy milk and it was just right! Not too sweet and not too bitter. Also shared a slice of the matcha cheesecake and we were both very happy. Will be back!
After having this recommended by Google so many times, we decided to finally try it! And let me tell you; not disappointed! The place is nice and small with great details and good attention! It has an amazing variety of ingredients for making a drink and obviously Matcha! I ordered the matcha taro hot beverage and OMG it was great! Give it a try! This places deserve to endure!
The matcha and lavender slice was super good, its moisture reached perfection and the flavors were well balanced. My matcha latte was good as well. Apparently the more creative drinks are quite sweet so I didn’t try them. I might not go out of my way to come back but if around, is a choice that won’t disappoint.
The Matcha roll cake was tasty though I was unimpressed with the ceremonial matcha. It didn’t taste like high quality ceremonial matcha and it was served in a to go paper cup, even though I dined in. I would’ve much preferred it in a mug, it didn’t feel like there was any honoring of it being a ceremonial drink.
They opened yesterday 3.14 and it was literally packed. So I decided to come back today and finally could try this new place. The ambient is cool, typical minimal Asian furniture like I’ve seen a lot on my Asia trip which gives the place an clean environment. They use organic products for all their food and beverage. The prices are good for being a matcha place because usually it’s quite expensive here in Mexico City. You have both table and take away service, which is cool and also have a strong WiFi. I ordered a matcha latte and I was served a small paper cup of matcha latte, which made me ask to the worker why not in a normal cup as I was seeing the girls in front of me sipping their drinks from glass and porcelain cups. On my idea, if I have an organic place I would try to reduce the use of disposable products at the minimum level, but overall it’s good. I asked for a matcha croissant but at 12:20pm the offer of the panadería (croissants, donuts and so on) was reduced to the donuts and to the panques (a kind of bread cake), obviously matcha based, and some cookies. The guys who work here told me that it’s because yesterday with the opening, they finished all the products but at noontime of the day after you should be able to offer the full menu to your clients especially if you’re a coffee shop or matcha shop. The latte is really good and I wanna think that they need some time to settle the business to make it work at 100% and this little things can be easily fixed. I’ll come back for sure maybe for a lunch to see how things develop here.
This place had been calling me for some time. It is s0000 cute! Everything is this amazing shade of matcha, the tables, chairs, there are cute Japanese paintings inside and a selection of matcha items for purchase. They have matcha desserts, matcha drinks of all sorts. I got a matcha boba with coconut. Service was good however their knowledge of matcha and boba seems to be a bit iffy. They are selling organic matcha high quality but from South Korea not Japan. I also asked if their boba was house made and they said yes. It is from the factory made tapioca balls which contain micro plastics. Their logo is super cute as well. Overall great place and I would come again to try their desserts.
This place had good matcha and it was easy to order. My drink came in a timely manner, but they wouldn’t give me a straw - claiming it’s only for sealed drinks. I have Invisalign, wanted to take it to go and didn’t want it to get into my aligners but they were adamant about not giving me a straw. Nice location in Roma Norte. Only have non-dairy milk options FYI
Nice Staff, welcoming vibes, cosy and beautiful! Tried Tarro, very weird taste and odd textured Tapioca! Would definitely try again though! Very modestly priced for the location and competitions
A super busy matcha café with average drinks and a chaotic atmosphere. On a regular Thursday afternoon, the café was packed to the brim, and there wasn’t a clear queue to form. After eventually making it to the front of the line, I was informed of a 15-20 minute wait, which felt a bit much but decided to order a coco matcha anyway. They handed me a pager, and I waited outside since the interior was too hectic. It took about 15 minutes for my drink to be ready. Unfortunately, the first couple of sips were underwhelming—it barely tasted like coconut, which was disappointing. The drink itself felt poorly prepared and was just average at best. For $75, the price was typical for the area, but the experience and quality didn’t justify it. Between the long wait and the disorganized chaos inside, it wasn’t worth the effort.
I had high expectations from my matcha, as a matcha lover who tried matcha in Tokyo and is used to good matcha in Europe. I ordered a warm matcha latte with coconut milk, but sadly it was way too watery. Drinking it, I had the feeling of tasting some lumps - even if the matcha itself was okay. Not sure if the whisking wasn’t done properly, or it was the coconut milk. The portion was huge and I had a bit of difficulty finishing it. My partner had a red fruit lemonade. Sadly, it had a lot of small dried fruit pieces, and he really didn’t enjoy feeling them on his teeth while drinking it. Cakes seemed very interesting though, and the extra is very pretty and quite to take a break.
This place is cute, but they use low-quality food grade matcha which is disappointing. Hopefully they upgrade to something better quality in the future. Color and flavor were both off, matcha powder was grainy as well.
the matcha was not good unfortunately. if you’re american and craving a good matcha i wouldn’t recommend
