Phở King Ciudad De México Reviews
Just walking by and decided to dine in. Paulina and Michelle were great hosts. They gave me an excellent service and were super friendly and just over all lovely! The spicy dragon chicken with friend rice was very good and the spicy salmon sushi roll was also tasty. The lava cake didn’t have a lava inside but lots of chocolate drizzled on the top so that made up for the chocolate. The mango lemonade was also pretty tasty. Good serving sizes over all too. I will return if I lived here to try other items not the menu.
Urban Sushi: A Modern Sushi Experience Urban Sushi offers a fresh take on sushi, with creative rolls and delicious classic options. The fish is high-quality, and the presentation is beautiful. A great spot for a modern and tasty sushi meal in Mexico City. Great option for Thursdays, since they have double orders.
Good Sushi, Great Location, but Some Downsides This sushi restaurant has a great location, just one block from the Ángel de la Independencia, making it a convenient spot to stop by. The atmosphere is friendly, but the music inside is quite loud, so I recommend sitting on the terrace for a more enjoyable experience. The staff does not speak English, which might be a challenge for non-Spanish speakers. The server was very attentive, but it felt like she was more interested in upselling rather than providing a truly pleasant dining experience. Overall, the food was good, the location is excellent, and the ambiance is nice—just keep in mind the noise level and the service approach when visiting. We had the special board they were offering, which includes your choice of two rolls, cheese sticks, a variety of dips, and two drinks. I think it’s a great deal for the price.
The food is not bad, but not very Japanese. For ramen, the noodle was too soft and sticky. Also, the broth tasted rather bland which is disappointing since the main sale point of a bowl of ramen is definitely the thick broth. That being said, the chashu was incredibly good with good portion. Shrimp was a bit salty but fresh. Also loved the smoothies! Service was very attentive. The place also has a good vibe and some fun tables with swings if you want to add some entertainment while you eat.
Easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Took forever just to get someone to take our order, and when they finally did, the table was wobbling so badly it felt like we were eating on a seesaw. We ordered starters - but instead got our mains first. No explanation, no apology, just completely disorganised service from start to finish. To make things worse, when it came time to pay, the staff member deliberately added a 115 peso tip even after I clearly said “NO TIP.” Only after I called it out did he “apologise,” but at that point I was already beyond frustrated. It wasn’t even about the money - it’s the audacity of trying to force a tip when the service was an absolute joke. Zero attention, zero care, zero professionalism. The food was decent, but absolutely not worth the hassle. Do yourself a favour and skip this place - there are far better spots in the area that actually respect their customers.
The service was fine but the food was quite bad we had the sushi rolls and it was not authentic and very bland, the chicken dish had very little chicken and was very salty. You can’t be a sushi place and have no Maki rolls or rolls that don’t have cheese in them.
They are the slowest and completely ignored me when I asked to order. I had to ask 3 times to just order food.. it took over an hour to order. We arrived shortly after 630. It’s 735 just ordered. It’s not even that busy here. I got fed up and went and got a Diet Coke from 7/11 after that hour then when they seen me they decided to start bringing my drinks. Other people who arrived after us are getting their food first. That’s crazy. Update it’s 8.. we have received 2 dish and 2 drinks after complaining to the manager.
We were really excited to try Japanese food in Mexico City, but the experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered a bento box and ended up waiting for more than an hour. We asked the servers several times, but there was never a clear response. The food finally arrived after about an hour and ten minutes. What made it worse was that other customers who arrived later than us had already finished their meals. I honestly don’t know if it was because I’m Asian, but it really felt like we were ignored. The fried rice also had almost no flavor. Who walked into this restaurant today thinking it would be a good idea? Turns out, it was me — the fool.
I visited around 6 PM and had a disappointing experience. Most of the staff seemed to be on break, leaving only two employees to handle everything — both of whom looked visibly annoyed by basic requests, like asking for soy sauce. One employee in particular, a heavier-set woman who’s been there on previous visits, always seems irritated by customers. Her dismissive attitude, eye rolls, and sharp tone make the environment feel unwelcoming. This kind of service makes it clear that customer experience is not a priority here. Unfortunately, I left hungry and dissatisfied.
