Tamales Roa Ciudad De México Reviews
The tamales are delicious, I highly recommend the morita and rajas ones, the only thing I don't like is that they have given me the wrong tamales several times, I ask for green ones and they give me sweet ones, they are not bad but the sweet ones are not to our liking, they have served us well but nothing else has failed us as mentioned above.
You have to go early to get the best flavors, although all the tamales I've tried have been very good. I recommend buying a liter of guava atole.
Some of the best tamales I've ever had, great quality and a very good price too! The special Oaxacan tamales are all delicious.
It's been a long time since I've had such delicious tamales. I highly recommend the Oaxacan tamale with almond mole and the chocolate one. A real treat! Thank you, keep up the good work!
I was really hesitant to order because of the recent bad reviews. However, I have to say those comments are completely misguided. We ordered through DiDi Food, and everything was excellently packaged and arrived quickly. The tamales were very, very tasty, with delicious sauces, dough, and meat filling. Plus, they're not as expensive as they say. We highly recommend them. The only thing is that they don't give you the option to order a bolillo if you want a guajolota, but from then on, it's become one of our favorite tamale places.
Excellent tamales, both tradicionales and oaxaqueños, and chocolate atole was very good as well. Friendly and quick service.
You can always find tamales, anytime, even on Rappi. I recommend the Oaxacan guajillo and guava atole.
The tamales are delicious... They are out of the ordinary bicycle and cheap and come in various flavors. The Didi service helps a lot, although today, February 2, there were people in line.
You can buy tamales and atole here; however, there are tamales on the street that are more flavorful, delicious, and cheaper. I can also say the same about atole. If you want to eat these delicacies comfortably seated on high bar stools, come to this establishment.
Friendly service, but the tamales are sometimes from previous days and cold.
Today, August 6th, I went to the branch located in San Fernando, near the ISSSTE funeral home. From the moment we arrived, the employee was very rude, rushing us to see what we wanted. We obviously took our time ordering, as we asked what flavors they had. We ordered a green tamale, then another green one, and finally a rajas tamale. Then we asked about the atole and ordered one chocolate atole, one rice atole, and then another chocolate atole. She very rudely told us, "That's three." Of course, I told her we ordered them one at a time because we couldn't decide what each of us would have. Honestly, with that attitude, I don't feel like going back. Another woman arrived, or perhaps she treated her the same way. She told her that if the tamale was to go, she would give it to her without the husk. From my point of view, that's wrong. I hope the owners address this issue.
I placed my order through Diddi Food, ordering tamales and chilaquiles with chicken. The latter was spoiled and smelled HORRIBLE! And I honestly didn't like the tamales, and considering the chicken, I wasn't very confident eating them. Plus, they're not cheap at all. I tried to find a number to complain about the chicken, but it was impossible to get through...
Excellent tamales, shame about the staff. This morning the girl even threw spoons at us. Sulky. It's a good thing she doesn't make the tamales, because otherwise, they wouldn't work. People out of work and looking for work, and she's a jerk.
The employee's service was unfriendly, and as for the tamales, I ordered Oaxacan tamales and they smelled and tasted strange; they didn't have a good flavor. The sweet ones were burnt at the edges. I don't recommend them at all.
I completely agree with the comments; the women working there are incredibly rude. You ask them something, and they just flat-out say, "I don't know." And they give you the tamales cold if you want them. I placed an order a year ago, and they never even processed it. When I arrived, they were all gone. They even told me, "We have those left over if you want them," and they were already spoiled. It's clear that on February 2nd, you have to get there early, but they really need to hire someone responsible for the store with a better attitude.
I've never eaten there, but the young woman is incredibly rude to people who park outside. It's a public street, for starters. I saw her throw water on a car and hit it with a broom, and the owners don't seem to notice. Poor thing, she clearly loves that job. I would never stop there; the place on the corner of La Cuchilla, across from the church, is much better. A terrible person.
Yesterday, April 18th, my husband went at 10 to 1 to get some atole, and they wanted me to bring it cold because it was already very late and they had already turned off everything, today I told the same person that the attitude of the person from yesterday was very bad (it was the same person) and she started yelling a thousand rude things among themselves that if we want hot things we should go early, I told her that what is supposed to differentiate them from those who sell on the street is precisely that during their hours they can heat things up because they have an oven, and again she starts yelling at me that if I want hot things I should get up and go early. Obviously she is an employee because the owners would never do something like that.
Terrible service. The person serving was very rude. They should hire someone with better customer service skills because their tamales are delicious, but the service is awful.
