Veggicano Ciudad De México Reviews
Hidden gem just half a mile from the Frida Kahlo Museum – the perfect stop whether you’re museum-hopping or just craving real Mexican flavors! We rolled in right at 10 AM (they open at 10, so great for late breakfast or lunch) and everything was absolutely delicious. I went for the enchiladas plus al pastor and chicken tacos – hands down some of the best I’ve had in CDMX. My partner crushed the tamales: frijol y hoja santa plus a sweet corn-wrapped tamale that was pure comfort. They have a crazy variety of tamales wrapped in both plantain and maize leaves – something for everyone. Washed it all down with perfect café de olla and a creamy atole that hit the spot. The vibe is super cozy: great seating, chill music, and the bonus of a little vegan grocery section where we grabbed a few things to take home. Friendly staff, spotless, and 100% vegan without sacrificing any of that authentic Mexican soul. If you’re visiting Casa Azul, make this your breakfast or lunch break – you won’t regret it. Five stars, no question! 🌮🪴❤️
One of my favorite vegan spots in Mexico City! I wish I could have eaten twice as much because every bite was so incredible. Authentic Mexican flavors made vegan. I ordered two different kinds of tamal - con frijol y con tofu (one of each type of preparation) and albondigas which was served with rice and an edible flower! The cappuccino was actually one of the best coffees I've had anywhere. In addition to a robust menu, there is also a little grocery shop with bakery offerings, self care products and more.
Want to eat vegan tamale? This is where you should go. Simply the best. Rest of the vegan items were good as well. The best part is that they have taken inspiration from the preachings of lord Krishna - the Bhagavad Geeta. This shows the purity in their vision to go vegan.
The food in this place is absolutely delicious. Loved the place, great atmosphere and friendly people
We loved this place! We came with a group of 8 so we called ahead since the seating area was limited. The menu was huge with many great food and drink options. We absolutely loved the Strawberry smoothie drinks. The trio of tacos were delicious as was the Tamale and the enchiladas. They also have beyond burgers here if you're in the mood for a more traditional American meal.
Amazing vegan place! My recommendation: Tamales, Molcajete, Tlayuda and the fruit water which is made with coconut cream :) Also desserts are amazing! They have a great variety of traditional mexican dishes in vegan, which are rare to find in other fully vegan places :)
A wonderful spot to grab breakfast in Coyoacán. The service is quick, the food options diverse, and the vegan fare delicious. The restaurant is attached to a market, so you can shop afterwards or pick up some vegan baked goods. In terms of the food, the Chilaquiles and Tofu Scramble were excellent. So was the “golden milk” latte and fresh squeezed orange juice. Definitely stop here for a bite!
The most amazing vegan meat I’ve ever had!!! Sometimes you really just crave the textures and flavors of meat as a vegan and this hits the spot!! The tacos were sooooo delicious!!
Very delicious. Great pozole. Great chocolate.
Great place for vegetarians of vegans. Large selection of dishes, and everything is very tasty!! 😋
Loved the vegan food here! The tamales weren't my favorite, but everything else was really good!
Very tasty food and nice authentic atmosphere. The staff is very friendly as well. Best vegan food we tried in CDMX so far and we are vegans. 5 out of 5.
Wonderful restaurant for vegetarian Mexican food- we tried the tacos, tamales, tostada and molcajete which were all excellent. The hot chocolate quetzlcoatl with rosemary was also delicious. We enjoyed the attentive service and ambience. It is also a store for vegan products. A nice option if you are around the neighborhood and close to Casa Azul.
Great menu options, all the food is vegan, and it tastes just like the real thing. They also have ice cream and other sweets to try, and a small shop in the back. We waited quite a while for a table to suit our party of 6, but it was worth it overall.
Great food. Big menu. I love it here. Service can sometimes be slow, but if you aren’t in a rush this is a great spot.
