Great Lakes Coffee Roasters Clarence Reviews
Cozy, especially on a frigid 10 degree blustery day. Fire place, nice decor, and friendly staff. Tons of take home coffee pod options (we got 24, and reasonably priced) so we will see how those are. We got the iced salted caramel mocha, the vanilla latte, and the triple chocolate scone. The mocha was fairly good not the best but definitely not the worst, and the vanilla latte was also good. It had a sort of peanut butter taste to it (adding peanut butter might actually be good)
Great place, awesome coffee, fantastic menu. Just what we need to jump start our workdays! Always a wonderful experience.
I have been to Great Lakes Coffee Roasters twice and feel confident in my rating! Both times I bought one of their monthly special lattes. They were delicious! My husband tried their decaf iced coffee with a flavor syrup and he enjoyed that! The coffee is delicious and the price is great! To note, they cannot do decaf lattes.
First time here, and OMG is so good. You can't go wrong with the seasonal pumpkin spice 😋 😍 very very friendly, and neat place.

$1 coffee, how can you beat that? Oh, you can... By having GREAT $1 coffee! Always looking forward to the new flavors every month!
Great coffee only a buck no tax! I can't believe people are whining they can't charge under 5 dollars. Who walks around with 0 dollars cash?? 🙄
Great place to grab a cup of coffee. Muffins are very good. Large coffee for $1. Awesome!! Always greeted very nicely.
Lovely cup of coffee in a great location! Always go here when I find myself down Transit that way. Be sure to visit the shops next door too!
Stopped in at Great Lakes when they first opened, and have been going and getting my coffee ever since! The manager, Anna is wonderful! I buy a bag (or more) of coffee weekly to enjoy at home (delicious) and stop in to get a great coffee before work a couple times a week. I can bring my dog Sig into the shop to order my coffee and that is a real treat for him (and Anna usually gives him a treat too!). So, the combination of great coffee, excellent service and friendly atmosphere- makes shopping local make sense! Stop in an try their coffee and you'll be back!
Awesome selection of K-cups. Very tasty pastries and great coffee only $1!
My experience at Great Lakes was truly amazing, when you walk in the door you get greeted with so much kindness and a nice hello. The coffee is delicious and legit only $1 and they don’t charge tax on it so you don’t have to worry about taking out your change. I was told most of the baked goods are made by their very own bakers and they’re so good! I love the different varieties of coffee they have, and they even do a different limited coffee of the month every single month with an extra menu of different lattes and drinks of that month as well! They have probably over 20 different types of k-cups for $12 for 24 of them which is an absolute steal! Their hydropower coffee is my favorite, it has extra caffeine and it tastes spectacular! I recommend this coffee shop to everyone who will listen to me!
Great coffee to go or dine in. K-cups are 50 cents each and the variety is tremendous. Definitely worth checking out!
It's a nice cozy place to grab coffee and a snack. $1 for a hot coffee, a lot of other options as well. There were homemade bakery things like muffins, scones, cookies and bagels. All around great experience. Support the local guys!
I absolutely adore this coffee spot. Their home brews are SO good. Love the banana bread especially, and I just tried the sponge candy which was great. What first got my hooked was the maple cinnamon. Truly some of the best coffee I've ever had.
I’ve been to Great Lakes coffee a few times now and each experience has been wonderful. The baristas have always been kind and helpful with recommendations. Definitely the place to go to if you want a reasonably priced coffee!
Brent and Jeff have done a nice job preparing a welcoming place to have a quality coffee or latte.
Great coffee, you can't go wrong for $1 tall size coffee. Great service. Cozy place to meet with a friend. Love going to the Clarence location. Would highly recommend this great place!

I feel like I've done myself a disservice by not coming here sooner. 1.00 for a cup of coffee, it's local, and the coffee was REALLY good.

The barista provided excellent customer service, and answered all my questions with a smile. The homemade scone was fabulous!
$5 minimum to use a credit card at a coffee shop is so frustrating - especially when they only have one size drink. Unfortunately I won’t be coming back because I don’t have the option to come and buy just a drip coffee or just an americano.
Cute place with a wide variety of coffees available in Keurig cups. $1 brewed coffee is nice. I don't understand handing unfinished food to the customer (toasted bagel with a cream cheese container stuck in the bag). Maybe if the place is mobbed in the morning. But seriously, even then, how much time does it take to put the spread on the bagel? I know Starbucks does this, but I hate it there too and quite honestly rarely order food there for this reason. It is SUPER inconvenient if you're taking the food in the car.

I had high hopes when I saw the $1.00 coffee sign which is quite frankly a good thing. Upon going here (and I tried 2 times), I found the girl behind the counter not friendly, no welcome, no smile, snippy answers - no personality at all. I thought maybe she was having a bad day, tried again another day and received the same attitude/response. Why would they put someone in a customer facing role with this type of personality? Anyways, the main reason I won't return is because I found out after inquiring - that the water is not filtered in anyway but coming out of the tubing in your wall (like you would put for your refrigerator) into their little coffee plastic machines. Toxic tap water filled with Perfluoroalkyls and Polyfluoroalkyls (PFAS), nitrates, fluorides. Heavy metals – Lead, arsenic. Plant Toxins - Microcystin. Microorganisms - Bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites. I am guessing those little black plastic coffee machines where the hot coffee is in, are also not BPA-free either. In case you didn't know you should never drink anything warm/hot out of plastic (do your own research if you don't know this). Anyways, to know that the water is not clean/filtered and sitting in plastic dispensers (like you would see in a hotel breakfast spot) was a total turn off. I didn't find out this information until I went the 2nd time, and actually was paying more attention than the first time I went. If they would change these things I would reconsider returning, as I am all about supporting local businesses, but wouldn't return due to my concerns for my health based on this information.
