Absolutely delicious. Hubby enjoyed the I’m on Fire Roll - very spicy! All ingredients were fresh and beautifully presented. The restaurant has a beautiful cherry tree inside and we got to sit under it. Service was also great.

Great food and atmosphere. Our 1st time here. The food was very good, our Hibachi chef did a wonderful job of cooking and entertaining us as well as cooking. Great place to go with friends and family. Food was good also

I had the chicken shrimp and steak with one cup of rice and noodles so good that onion soup slap too I forgot these spicy shrimp rolls things called but they was good too good service they stay on top of everything

I will gladly die on this hill, OSAKAS is the best hibachi Joint in Michigan. I live deep on the west side & i come to Clawson because Peter & his family & staff are simply amazing. The food and drinks are Always on point

Great family place for dinner!! So delicious. You can't go wrong on anything you choose!! Love the rice noodles veggies Etc. Chef works hard cooking for 10 people. Be kind

First time going here and having a hibachi experience. It did not disappoint. Very great atmosphere and amazing staff. It was my moms birthday, the staff gave her a little cake with a candle and took our picture, printed it out and framed it. I would highly recommend coming here instead of Benihanas. The chef was very nice and the food came out delicious. There is a lot of Latino staff members that speak Spanish too.

Absolutely AMAZING experience every time!!! The food has NO room for complaints, the team literally treats you like GOLD, and the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. I love it here!

I’ve never had sushi before so i took a friend here for her birthday and let’s just say IM ADDICTED to fried sushi! We had the California rolls and also ordered the chicken and steak meal…ours came with both rice and noodles. I’m actually on my way there now because i can’t get enough of their California rolls

The service was fantastic, they were nice and polite. The food is great and my order was served swiftly. The prices are reasonable.

The interior decor was really nice. Staff was very friendly, we were greeted by everyone we walked by. Our waitress Ronni was so nice. Food was amazing, taste and presentation were exceptional. Price isn't bad at all either. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Took my daughter there to celebrate birthday. We were allowed to bring a few decorations balloons. We accidentally let them go twice. The staff was very helpful in the balloon retrieval. They more then assisted in taking photos of the afternoons celebration. They told a group photo ,made a print and wait for it,,,, They framed it too. What a nice surprise gift.My daughter loved it. The hibachi area is beautiful and food was great. Service was prompt and chef was very entertaining! Huge portion of food (I did also order extra noodles).

The parking lot was packed, but luckily most people were waiting on Hibachi, so we were able to be seated right away. We ordered the Beno boxes with the chicken Katsu, as recommended by our server. It was amazing, and perfect for the person who doesn't want just one thing. We chose to upgrade the rice to fried rice, but the default option is normal steamed rice. Highly recommend for a date night!

Hey everybody!! If you are into hibachi and sushi and all I’ve that good stuff, the you really need to visit Osaka Japanese Steakhouse at 1119 W Maple rd. It is the absolute best in town and you will not be disappointed. The menu will definitely suit your needs!

Love it. You will notice a very light smoke but does not inter with your meal. Been twice.

I came here 9/20/25. It was my 1st time @ a Hibachi reataurant. The whole experience was abaolutely AWESOME. Definitely will be back. Thanks!!

Great food! Love the way it's seasoned and steak chopped in small pieces. Yum yum sauce is sweet yet not overly sweet. Definitely worth going back.

This is a family favorite. We come to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, or any special occasion and just to come. The food is always fresh, seasoned well, hot, and good. They changed how they serve since we were there. The rice is now served in a bowl which to me makes the servings much smaller. The veggies were a smaller serving also. We were a party of 10 and splitting the bill meant each separate bill was charged the full gratuity. They could have split it up for each bill. We will NEVER split the bill up again. They can take separate payments.

From the moment we sat down, our chef had us laughing, clapping, and completely entertained. He was a master of the grill and had amazing knife skills — flipping egg into our mouths, lighting onions on fire, and even cracking jokes the whole way through. He also sung happy bday to my son. The food? Outstanding. Everything was cooked perfectly right in front of us — tender steak, flavorful chicken, fresh veggies, and the best fried rice I’ve ever had. The portions were generous and every bite was full of flavor. This wasn’t just dinner — it was dinner and a show. Perfect for a date night, birthday, or just a fun evening out. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Out celebrating my granddaughter’s birthday. The service started off great then it kinda fizzled. The waitress wasn’t as friendly as I’m accustomed, but the chef made everything much better. He was soooooo nice and extremely personable. Because of that I’ll be back

I have never been to a Japanese Steakhouse before but have heard it could be a show. You do have to request a grill table. We were lucky that our group of 7 could still be seated at one in this time of Covid-19. Our dinner came with soup and salad. Both were normal, but not the best I have had. Then the show started. Each layer was cooked and plated as your meal is being cooked. Rice, noodles, veggies, and then meat or meats. My entree included shrimp and filet mignon. Including the soup and salad with some of the cooked main course, I got 4 meals out of the food. Heated up very well. Look forward to coming back.

Service was good. You have a choice for tye Habachi or private dining. Private dining was nice. The food was plentiful for the price. The hot house Sake was a nice touch for dinner.

Our chef was amazing. The prices are a little on the high side and the gratuity for large groups is ridiculous.

This Restaurant has a very serene ambiance, and the Decor is lovely. I order Shrimp and vegetables Tempura (wich is an appetizer ) because I wasn't that hungry and I was surprised it came with a salad, miso soup and fried rice. Portions were huge!! I ended up sharing with my husband. My daughter absolutely loved her Hibachi steak, it was perfectly cook and super juicy. We will come back to try the Sushi.

If you want the food to be prepared at your table you should make a reservation, otherwise you can directly walk to the table. The food is good but expensive.

Great venue for hibachi food! However, I find that the chefs here don’t like to have as much fun with their customers.

First credit where credit is due, the food was pretty good. The chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly and seasoned - and not too overcooked. The serving staff was outstanding. Our server was super attentive and checked in frequently without being intrusive and the support staff cleared our table and quickly greeted us as well. Unfortunately, the experience became sour when the restaurant couldn’t accommodate dietary restrictions for the hibachi table. Specifically, we wanted our protein to be cooked in a separate part of the table with separate utensils however, they said they were unable to accommodate, which I thought was pretty odd because every other hibachi style restaurant is able to accommodate this sort of request.

Expensive for the quality and taste of the food. The service was the highlight here. I spent quite a bit here and we were somehow dissapointed after leaving. I wouldn't return in the future.

I love sushi, which is why I decided to come here. Unfortunately, the sushi did not meet my expectations in terms of taste. Given the high prices, I expected better quality. On the positive side, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant.

First, let me say that we did arrive maybe an hour and a half before closing, so I get it, but at the same time, the business must be run until everyone has left the establishment. Our cook, I believe, was a new guy, so he didn't talk much, which is fine, but a lot of food was kind of undercooked. Also, to add, I had to ask our cook to refill our beverages ourselves because I hadn't seen our server since we got our first drinks. I don't know if we will be going back to this one, but the one on Hall Rd. is very delicious.

I waited for over 40 minutes for my food to come out, but they said they didn't see my order. It's like they're deliberately ignoring me even though there are no customers... The meat was so tough that I didn't need to put in a to-go box. I wasted so much money. I will never go back

This restaurant overcharged me $16. They did not give me a receipt, they only told me the price of my bill. The bill was $37.00. I used a gift card to pay, but they overcharged me $16 and took the rest of my money off the card. When I noticed the rest of my gift card was empty, I called the restaurant to get a refund. The manager was rude and hung up on me. I am unable to get this money back. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

the food in general is good but this location isn’t that great. no hood vents so it gets smokey, they automatically add gratuity without notice and the atmosphere is lacking.

I have never experienced this type of treatment in I've been in so many high end establishments. The guy and the girl at the front counter that checks you in. Has the worse customer service skills ever. Very rude, wasn't accommodating at all. I will never ever come to this location again!!! This restaurant made my twin daughters birthday terrible something they will never forget because it was on their birthday. If anyone ask about this location I will always tell them not to go and the way they treat paying customers are horrible. The lady at the front desk was rolling her eyes at me and when it was time to go she didn't know we were working out into the lobby and she was bashing us and talking badly to other people in the lobby. I really want to speak to corporate about this. Please do better with training your employees especially the ones at the front desk, they are the face of your company

Art he’s the manager but seems like to hate his job and his role, it’s very disappointing that I had to deal with what I did today like him. Asked many times to speak to a different employee or owner and he mentioned that he was unable to pass me through. He needs to lose his job asap. Called the other location and that other place was full of respect and were able to pass me down to the owner. Took my name and number unlike clawson location. Hope I never have to see or deal with art and really hope he gets retrained.

The manager working the night of December 17, 2025 could use customer service training. I politely explained that my food was inedible because it was severely overcooked. The manager was nonchalant about the situation and refused to offer a refund or reasonable credit, offering only a 10 percent discount on a future order. I have no reason to lie and no desire to inconvenience myself just to prove the food wasn’t up to standard by bringing back partially eaten food. At this point, it’s in the trash. I will not patronize this business and any business that does not stand by their food quality.

Very disappointed. We had a 6:30 reservation and by 7:25 we still had no food, only one round of sodas. The restaurant has no ventilation, so it gets extremely smoky, which was especially difficult with two small kids. Staff told us this is “normal.” Would not recommend for families.

If I can give a 0 I would the Manager art was horrible I ordered a Cherry out he was very disrespectful on the phone. I went in the store to pay and get my food. He goes to me I did you White rice I didn’t even tell him I wanted white rice. I wanted fried rice as a manager. He sat there arguing with me and put in mind. I’m a minor 16 years old sat there arguing with the 16 years old. Told me he’s charging me four dollars extra told him no problem. Let me just get my fried rice but sat there talking in his language and arguing with me as a 16, I don’t know what to say. I told him no need to argue. I will pay while he’s walking to switch my rice he told me go to hell in that moment I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t even argue. I walked out in tears try to speak to the owner. The owner never gave me a call very unprofessional over something. He knew the mistake he did and he continued arguing should close this business now!!!!!!!!!!!

I called today to see if the place was taking walk ins, they said yes but they were booked up( this was around 9pm). I went to the restaurant just for there to be a sign on the door saying they were closing at 9:30pm instead of the usual time @10:30. i don’t like that the worker didn’t mention that over the phone because I drove over 30 minutes just for them to be closing, especially since this was 30 minutes prior to them closing.
