IHOP Clay Reviews
We’ve been to a few ihops in our travels and honestly, it can be hot or miss but our experience this morning at this location was really quite good! The wait to be seated was not bad (especially for a Sunday morning (which was also New Year’s Eve) and the service was great. Our server Trina was wonderful, our food was hot - all of it, even the toast. Not sure how long it’s been under management (we are from out of town) but wanted to let them know that we had a great experience 👍
So far I've been here twice. Due to covid and seating restrictions, both times I had to wait for a seat. The times I went were both on a weekday and before lunch time. Both times I've gone, the wait was only 15-20 minutes. You get put on a waiting list with your phone number and they text you when your table is ready. Onto the food. Both visits, the food was excellent. Both times breakfast items were ordered. Food came nice and hot and was very delicious. Not sure how other people are receiving cold food but also, that can happen anywhere too. The servers were friendly both times as well. The second time I went, I ordered the New York Cheesecake pancakes and didnt know it came with strawberries. So I asked politely to have it remade without strawberries. I'm sure it was irritating to the waitress to have to take it back but she was polite and said it was no problem, instead of being rude about it. Overall, both experiences were very nice. The one thing I'd recommend to improve is the staff talking about their personal lives around customers. I can't give exact details but some of the conversations probably should be heard by customers. But that's just me nitpicking. I think the longer they are open, the more they will improve. The bad staff will get replaced with good staff, the chefs will become more efficient and the place will run better. This place hasn't been open for all that long so the people making massive complaints, give this place a chance and time. It was perfect both times I went and I'll be visiting again.
Okay, I saw the negative reviews, but I can't say anything bad about my experience here. I was seated quickly, my server took my drink order and brought it right away. My food came out quickly and hot! Everything was as ordered, and my server asked if I needed anything else. My food tasted great! All in all, everything was top notch. Definitely a well earned five stars.
I visited this location for the first time Sunday, 7/10/22. When we arrived the manager on duty, Tom, was at the desk. Very pleasant attitude and genuine presence. We were seated immediately, he cleaned our table and made sure we had a server attend to us before our actual server arrived. Our actual server, Paige, was amazing. Our entire order was correct, she stopped by to check in on us a few times and the food was Great, no complaints. If you haven't visited this I-hop most recently, please do. You can see that the issue when the restaurant first started, about a year ago, was mainly due to poor management and that has changed drastically since then. Also, for the people you see complaining about wait times, please understand that restaurants do have wait times. This is one of the smaller I-hops I've been to in recent years so expect to have to wait 30 -40 minutes on a busy weekend when they can only accommodate so many at once. This is one of the only breakfast spots in a large suburban area close to shopping centers and seeing that breakfast times for most people only revolve around 3 hours at best, the wait time is pretty accurate. Great restaurant, I will be back, thanks to Tom and Paige.
There’s been a lot of complaints in regards to wait time. We were seated immediately, waited on immediately and served within 15 minutes of ordering. The food was delicious and our server Tiffany was great. It wasn’t very busy when we were here, but it did pick up during our visit and she continued to make sure we were taken care of.
Great experience it shows they are under new management the place was fairly busy and our waitress Heather was fantastic she never left us unattended and our food was delicious so kudos to the kitchen and Heather the only complaint I have would be the Hostess she does not make you feel welcome and I didn’t see her smile once it’s hospitality so it would be nice to get a hey how are you and welcome kind of vibe but whatever Heather made up for what she lacked and so did the kitchen with their deliciousness! In the past I said I’d never come back but due to todays experience my fat arse will be rolling back in for them fluffy pancakes again
The food was very good. The service was very quick. I was pleasantly surprised. Their biscuits were amazing 😋. The waitress was very nice, helpful, and patient. The atmosphere was nice and new with a bit of country music playing over the speaker.
Though a little out of the way, it's worth the stop for a hearty inexpensive breakfast and great service! We had a lovely visit this week and were so pleasantly surprised by the food and amazing waitresses. Everyone is so attentive and kind! We really felt at home. Food was delicious as well, I got the steak omelet and it was huge! Tons of steak and cheese! Will remember to stop here again next time I'm in the neighborhood!
I'm not normally a fan of chain restaurants, but this doesn't feel like one. Food is great, staff is always wonderful and friendly, and I like the vibe. First time I went i had the Nashville hot chicken and waffles and it was delicious. I wish they'd bring that back on the menu. I'm not a big pancake person, but theirs are really really good.
We had an early morning errand and decided to check out the IHOP on NY-31 in Clay. We were a little leery after reading reviews online and in the foodie groups but figured “what the hey” and gave them a try. Happy to say it was a perfect experience. We were seated right away, our waitress was pleasant and friendly and arrived within a few minutes after we sat. Drinks came back in a couple minutes and the wait on food was about 10 minutes. My Husband and I both each got one of the 55+ sample platters. My order had 1 egg, 1 bacon, 1 link sausage, 1 piece of ham, 1 pancake and hash browns. My husband got the 2 eggs, two pancakes and 2 link sausages. Everything was cooked right and tasted great. We would definitely go back.
I haven't always had the best of luck with IHOP--even at this location. However, outside of a guy at the hostess stand that seemed clueless to the whole seating concept, everyone had a smile and handled things professionally and promptly. Our waitress was sweet and helpful. Add-ons and exceptions were on point. Our food was exactly as ordered, hot and fresh, in under 12 mins for a table of four!! Despite a packed parking lot, I was impressed by our seat and eat times. It's hard right now, with wait staff that doesn't seem to care, and management too overwhelmed to do much about it... but this place has truly put in the effort to improve and deliver. It shows--well done!!
Being completely transparent, my wife tried this restaurant out just to see how bad it really was. The information we had on this restaurant was not good. Supposed to have a very long wait time to get ones meals and very rude service. Neither was the case. Sara was our server and she was fantastic, even though she was the only server working. She was very polite and attentive. The food was hot and tasty. My wife and I love breakfast any time of day and this was no exception. She had a two egg combo with hash browns and two pancakes cooked to her liking. For myself, I had a new item on the menu which was an omelette with ham and cheese with bacon. Excellent, highly recommended. Don't believe everything you hear, try it for yourself. If Sara is working, you will not be disappointed.
Ordered the steak tips and eggs and a burger with fries. The food was delicious and came out fast. The server was attentive and welcoming. We'll definitely be back. The steak tips deserve another mention, they were so tender and flavorful!
I had breakfast with my family Sunday morning and it was absolutely fabulous. The food was delicious; I got the Reese’s peanut butter pancakes with hashbrowns, over easy eggs, and sausage. The food was delicious and the staff was so nice. Barely had to wait, getting there early is key to the best service!
We've been steering away from this place bc I knew it had received some bad reviews since it opened. But my husband and I were looking for a quick place that was baby friend so we could our 10 month old. The parking lot was empty because it was still early but that meant that we were seated immediately. With a baby, we are always worried about waiting or food taking a while. Our waitress was kind & our food came out quickly ! A little worried when it came out because it was so quick but we were pleasantly surprised !! The pancakes were delicious, the eggs were good. Even my baby liked them and she doesn't love eggs. I believe it was the manager who checked on us multiple times and even interacted with the baby. The cost of meals were a little more than I expected or remember them being but I guess it's 2025 and everything is expensive. The food & customer service was so good that we will definitely be back. We really left in such a good mood bc we didn't expect to have such a good experience.
The best breakfast food and always consistent. Great service.
Everything was great! Service was friendly and prompt, food was prepared as ordered and the atmosphere was warm And bright.
Great food didn't have to wait and they were busy
Great menu for breakfast, lunch or dinner... Our server Isabel was amazing. She was attentive and patient. Food did not disappoint. Went with my 79 year old Dad and my step Mom. They enjoyed pancakes and omelettes. While I was able to have a burger and onion rings. Wish I lived closer to this establishment....
Had a great experience here for dinner tonight (on a Friday night). It wasn't too crowded, but it was a snowy night. The food was served quickly and everyone was happy. Great service with a smile. Store was clean. Enjoyed the IHoppy Hour Specials (Moz sticks, egg bowl, cheeseburger, and Ice Cream Sundae pancake shown) from $5-8. Family of four ate for under $50 pre-tip. Thanks, IHop!
When I ordered my waffle, I specifically asked for it to come hot. I'm always getting waffles at different places, and the butter won't even melt. The waitress assured me it would be. It was NOT. I had to have her take it and heat it up so I could get the butter to melt. That was my only complaint. My sister's food was good, according to her.
I haven't been to IHOP in 30 years until now. I went during the week when it wouldn't be so busy. The food was good and the service was very nice. All in all I was impressed with the experience. I'm sure I will return but the weekends are too busy for me to enjoy, I'll stick to the week days.
Had a group of 9 for dinner. Called ahead and asked to sit in the back room (good meeting space by the way) and they had tables put together for us when we arrived. Makenzie G as a server was wonderful. For the food, we had everything from entrees and breakfast items to salads and sandwiches. Everyone generally had good things to say about their meals. The reviews that mention a longer than expected wait in an empty dining room seem accurate. Overall, would go back again to try more items from the large menu. If anyone is in a volunteer organization or other group that has regular meetings, their back room is an excellent space.
Service was terrible but I won’t hold it against them. Could’ve been an off morning for the waitress. Can I get any coffee/drinks for 45 minutes. It was around 10 AM and wasn’t that busy. But things happened and I Still tipped 30% and had good food! Great location and glad they’re staying there with every place around us closing down recently!
We went today at about 4pm on a Thursday. We were seated promptly. Unfortunately, there was only 1 server. The good news is he was a Rockstar. He was doing great serving many tables. Another positive is the place was super clean, even in the bathrooms. The food was really good. I got an iced coffee and a burger and the rest of my family got breakfast. It was all hot, and decent quality. The downside is they were really understaffed. Those who were there did great, but we were there much longer than anticipated (about 75 minutes) The other downside is we were surprised to not see any butter or jelly on the tables, and the tables only had plain syrup? I thought IHOP kept the different syrups on the table? This may be a corporate thing and have nothing to do with this location.
Classic breakfast spot for you and the fam! Clean location, friendly staff, delicious menu items.
The service was fast and very friendly. I had the eggs Benedict poblano. Very good and not too spicy. My friend had the omelet poblano and loved it. Other friend ate the steak tips combo with hash browns, bacon, scrambled eggs, and pancakes. I loved the pancakes, very fluffy. We also shared chicken quesadillas which was nice and greasy. The place is calm and quiet. The main issue is the seating options reveal the cushions have cuts and they're noticeable in many places. Perhaps they could invest in upholstery? But good food and service.
Took the family to ihop today for a little breakfast for dinner. This is the only ihop around me, there was only one waitress checking people in, seating customers, taking orders, and bringing dishes, I ordered the tbone steak and 3 eggs, the steak was very similar to a pork chop, very thin, was told kids eat free from Dec 1st to the 21st, was almost charged 90 dollars, I had to remind them kids eat free like they advertise, my bill was then dropped to 70, food was decent over all, service was great, the woman working was hustling trying to keep up with everything, overall 4 stars
Food was great, but they forgot my eating utensils and I had to ask for them. Coffee was good, but had to ask for more. They left an empty, dry, dirty coffee carafe with top off on my table. They forgot syrup for the French toast, but then remembered on their own. Sorry to be so picky, but it was unusual that they weren’t as attentive to details as usual. I would still go back again tho.
The service could do a little better and the food was great as always the place is always busy despite them slow service, but it’s honestly a point sometimes it’s quick sometimes it’s not but they do have good food for reasonable prices. I don’t go here that often, but the food is always on point.
My daughter and I went in a Saturday morning around 10:15. We were told about 20-30 minute wait; only waited about 15-20. We even had the option to wait in the car, and they called us when our table was ready. The place is pretty noisy when it’s busy, but the servers were very pleasant and helpful. We both ordered the sampler plates: two pancakes, two sausages, two ham, two eggs, and hash browns. Hash browns were nice and crispy! Pancakes were soft and delicious. Lots of options with the eggs (including egg whites only, which my daughter got, but they were very greasy and she didn’t like that. We were also able to customize her pancakes to add chocolate chips, which she liked.
I have been to this Ihop 3 times. The service is a bit slow, but it's usually pretty busy at the breakfast hour. The last two visits I ordered an egg white omelet and both times, despite being clear (they have a white omelet on the menu), they brought me a regular one. The first time I said nothing, the second time I sent it back as I was super clear on instructions. I watched as my family ate their meals. The food is decent, but it's chain restaurant quality and kind of pricey. We mostly go to benefit my son. But for the price, plus getting my order wrong 2 of 3 visits, we are not likely to go back.
It was decent and has potential, just like just about anywhere else though they are understaffed, service was kinda slow, food wasn't the greatest but could have been worse. Coffee was good. Restaurant and bathroom were clean.
On Father's Day it seems that they should have been better staffed. We arrived ( 6 people) at 10 AM and were told 30 min wait. Actually waited 1hr 10min. Server was good but table not well cleaned and 1 menu covered in orange juice. The floors were so sticky our shoes stuck. Bathrooms were disgusting. The food was good and arrived in a reasonable time. That and our server saved the day.
Had a bit of a wait even though restaurant was half empty. Clearly either understaffed or poor scheduling for a Sunday morning/afternoon. Got seated waiter asked for our order before we even got a chance to look at a menu. Dropped our drinks and waited 25 minutes before we got a straw for them. Food came out but we were given no silverware. Sat another 5 minutes waiting for our waiter until finally had to go to the host desk and was given plastic to go silverware to eat with. By the time that came the food was cold. Food was good but service was lacking.
The service was good. The place was clean. The food was just ok. My eggs weren't cooked correctly. My husband's pancakes only had cinnamon on the top and not in every layer like advertised and they weren't fluffy.
Service has improved greatly since my last visit. Food ranges from poor to mediocre.
Normally my family and I dine in the front. With no difficulty and always with great service. Today, we brought to the back room. Two other families were seated there. They left. There were now four dirty tables. No one else was seated there. We were alone. Our server brought our drinks out. Took our orders, and we never saw her again until I had to find someone for refills and other drinks. A man came and took our drink orders. And brought them right away. This was followed by our food, which I guarantee was under the lights waiting because another server brought the dishes out. Our server came out of nowhere with a tray of refills. We declined them. She left not to show up again when I complained about needing napkins and another order of bacon. Which again was brought out by someone else. All of sudden, she pops up. Wanting to be friendly and helpful. I asked for the box and the bill. She continued being overly sweet. I paid the bill and tipped accordingly to how she served us in the beginning with the drinks. 3 bucks. She deserved no more. Quite honestly, I would have paid the other three who were there when needed. Will I go back yes. On a Saturday in the morning. No, probably not. I will say the food was good. The watermelon refresher was very sweet. Basically, sugar. The cinnamon pancakes the same way. Too much cinnamon and glaze. We never said anything. We ate our meals. The cook did a great job.
First time at an IHOP. The service was very good. Only 2 employees on with a handful of tables and our orders came out correct and quickly. The staff was friendly and put in the effort to satisfy the customers. No complaints with the service. The food was OK. Nothing special, tasted fine. (Which is to be expected with chain restaurants like this.)The chicken and waffles seemed to be overpriced. One waffle and 3.5 chicken strips for $18. The other dishes we ordered were priced closer to what I expected to see. Atmosphere was meh. For a newer building, there are plenty of ceiling tiles that have water damage. Cobwebs in the corners and the dining area could use a thorough surface cleaning. I don't think I will visit again based on this experience.
Overall the experience wasn't bad. Our food was good. The server was the only person working the floor and she was handling 10 tables at the time of our visit. The last person that was seated, was seated by the manager. He instantly threw his server under the bus stating that she was slow and basically implied that the customers wait time was solely on her. I think that's a major fail on the management of this place... You never throw your people under the bus! If your staff isn't big enough to support your customer service timelines then as the manager you either schedule more staff to work or you step in to assist. Where's the leadership???
Service lacks food is edible. Had to get my own highchair had to ask the hostess to find out server twice . When it comes to the bill they hand you that tablet real fast
IHOP is a well‑known breakfast restaurant that aims to deliver classic American breakfast fare any time of day, but based on recent customer experiences, it can be hit‑or‑miss. The menu covers familiar favorites like pancakes, omelettes, waffles, and breakfast skillets, and portions are generous, which makes it a solid choice for those craving comfort breakfast staples.
Toast was hard. Pancakes were not silver dollar, Too much for a 6 year old. Bacon was half done. Coffee was fine. I think you should get another cook.
I normally don’t have a problem paying prices cause I know it’s just how things are but the biggest complaint I have is going to ihop and paying almost the exact same price as if I were to go to a nice restaurant there’s an issue here and the prices are one of the issues it’s really frustrating that I get charged $6.99 for 2 crepes that’s insane there making $5 at least on that that’s ridiculous but not only that 4 crepes 2 eggs and 2 meets for over $20 is insane prices need adjustment cause this is a scam food is ok customer service is fine but damn prices are outrageous
This place has no wait any time we go, which is great for hungry kids. I enjoy the thick French toast, but the strawberries on top were frozen not fresh and I would say just stick with bananas. Our waitress today didn't offer to get more water or drink refills at any point even when they were empty. Hash browns were crispy. Toast had a hair on it. Bathrooms were clean though. Decent enough but not amazing experience.
There was a time when going out to eat was enjoyable. Today, it is more like an experiment. You never know what to expect even at well known establishments. The service was great, fast and friendly however did not make up for the low quality food. The pancakes were great. The eggs tasted like spray Pam and the bread for the toast was not good quality. The omelet toppings advertised “Pan seared tomatoes.” When the omelet came out the tomatoes were diced and thrown on top cold. (Picture) The bill for two was $48, seemingly overpriced for two egg meals and a side of 2 pancakes. Cleanliness- the menus were sticky from what I can only guess, syrup. The table condiments were not clean, sticky and food on the outside. The doors were frosted with fingerprints. It was a disappointing experience. The only hope is the sign at the hostess station announcing new management.
The only reason I’m giving this place two stars is because of our waitress Karen. She was a sweetheart, we had our 3 year old granddaughter with us and she was so nice and attentive to her. Other than that it was a terrible experience. Now I know restaurants are short staffed and we expected a little wait. But 30 minutes is a bit ridiculous. When the food finally arrived my wife saw plain as day an eggshell right on top of her eggs. You would have to be blind not to see it. Karen took it right back to replace it. After 10 minutes we decided the wait wasn’t worth it. Our granddaughter was doing really good considering the original wait time, but at this point she was ready to go. We got the bill and the eggs weren’t taken off. We will not be going back to this location ever again. A chain that used to be enjoyable is now a mess. Too bad.
What an absurd way to run a business. Waiting room gradually filled up, and fully half the tables empty. Upon asking they said the problem was kitchen staff shortage. Obviously the wrong answer to explain this outcome.
I was with my 4 year old granddaughter and we had to first wait for a table to be cleaned off (there were only 4 or 5 other diners in the restaurant, it seems as though there were many clean tables) then our drink orders were taken, I got mine but the 4 years old's glass of milk showed up after the food. The 4 year old was never offered any distraction like crayons and a child's placemat. Our 4 pancakes, bacon and sausage took just over 20 minutes to come out of the kitchen! When it arrived it was just warm (how long did it sit before it was delivered to my table???). When I complained about the service the manager first argued with me, then stomped back with our check and informed me that he had taken everything off the check, and I wasn't welcome to come back. I wasn't looking for a free meal, I was looking for an apology or at the very least an acknowledgement that their system could be improved on. The manager doesn't have to worry about my coming back.
Not impressed. Waitress was not very knowledgeable and untrained in serving etiquette. I ordered poached eggs and they came out cold and fully cooked(rubbery). We waited approximately 30 minutes for our food to come out while others around us had theirs much quicker even though they arrived after us. Some wrong items were delivered and we were over charged for items that were supposed to be included. We got 3 coffees but only 1 spoon and was not offered more. Overall experience was not great.
Long wait to be sat, long time till waitress greeted us, food was cold when it was served. Long time in between waitress checking back. My friend actually got up and went to ask for somebody to check on our table. Was not impressed. I understand that sometimes you might be short staffed, but an apology would've been nice for the poor service we got.
Service was slow like previous reviews have mentioned. Staff running around like chickens with their heads cut off even with very few customers. They had no time to give personalized service to anyone. Ordered the lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes and didn't initially receive the lemon ricotta. Charged for a coffee when I ordered an orange juice and instead of correcting the price, I was told it's about the same price...well that's how you get less of a tip. Positives: Staff was nice, decor was modern, and we finished all our food but never again
I ordered a burger and it ended up being nearly raw. I told the waitress and she said sorry and brought the check. No only was i not offered a new burger but i was charged for a burger that i took a bite of. This was my first bad experience so i ended up going back. We ordered an omelet and a waffle. The menu showed a side of fruit as a side with the waffle. It showed no additional price. The fruit ended up costing $3.50 and it was over ripe watermelon and dry, brown pineapple. The omelet had hair in it. We paid 45 dollars for one omelet, one waffle, a handful of fruit, and two drinks. This didnt even include sides (other than the fruit) After two terrible food experiences in a row, i cant even begin to imagine spending my money there.
This is the 2nd time we have come here. I get they have a shortage of staff, but maybe they shouldn't be opened then. We waited 30 minutes to be seated. Had to go find our own high chair. Drinks came fairly fast. Order was taken in a reasonable amount of time. It took 30 minutes to get our food. It was not as ordered. Our server never checked on us again. She was fake friendly, as she made of fun of a customer that left to another customer still there. The hostess was less than friendly. Overall it was a very annoying experience. Especially since we had a 2 year old and a 3 year old with us.
I was disappointed since I haven't had ihop in 10 years and was excited to have it again. It's not what I remember. The hash browns were crisp on top but soggy elsewhere, same with the eggs they are wet and slimy on the inside with NO flavor (more than likely fake eggs) and the bacon was fairly burnt, but I was supposed to get 3 sausage AND 3 bacon not 6 bacon.. the coffee was okay and the waitress was great the food not so much. Also there wasn't different flavored syrups like they used to have.
When the menu claims that you get cream cheesecake bites, I want expecting them to be piled on the center. It made the center of the pancakes very wet while to rest was very dry. We will not be returning. $36 for breakfast for breakfast is a lot more than you should spend for what we had...
Absolutely ridiculous. Ordered the Turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and a side salad. It came with 3 thin slices of turkey, just barely two spoon fulls of mashed potatoes and they forgot to give me the salad I paid for. This was nearly $16. I’m glad this was a gift card because I would never pay for food from here.
The place wasn't overly busy but It took longer than expected for a waitress to come to our table. She was very forgetful to bring things we needed such as cream for coffee and jelly, even asking several times. Blueberry pancakes were not fully cooked, sausage and gravy was barely warm, while my bacon scrambled eggs were overcooked. This seems to be the norm for IHOP restaurants as I tried a few different ones over the past few years and they seem to be getting worse.
I believe in great customer service. I’m not sure why the lead manager had to check me out. I don’t think I had the best service. When I asked what juice did you have ? Everything was named except lemonade. The waiter responded an said do you not want us to have lemonade? If I’m asking what drinks do you have, why not name the soft drinks ? I I’m not sure if it was because the way I looked. I just wanted to enjoy my breakfast with my daughter. This experience made me very uncomfortable, I will not return.
We arrived at IHOP around 11:20 AM on a Sunday and, as expected, had a short wait of about 20 minutes for our party of five. The restaurant was about 80% full, tables were clean, and the overall atmosphere was fine. Our server was friendly and attentive, starting with drink orders. Unfortunately, the coffee was so light and watered down it looked more like tea. When we asked if there was a darker option, the server laughed and admitted that was all they had. Not a great start for brunch. Food service was where things really fell apart. Four of our meals came after about 20 minutes, but the fifth was delayed another 25 minutes—meaning one person ate alone while the rest of us were basically finished. During that time, we watched multiple tables who arrived after us get their food, eat, and leave while we were still waiting. The food we did get was mediocre at best: soggy toast, messy overfilled crepes, and bacon cooked to the point of being too crisp. The one bright spot: they comped the delayed dish without us asking, which I appreciated. But overall, the experience felt disorganized and poorly managed. When you go out to eat as a family, the whole point is eating together, and that didn’t happen here. Sadly, I don’t see us returning.
We had to wait an extremely long time to be waited on and given drinks, over 20 mins and a long time for our food to arrive. The food itself was alright but a bit cold. We were frustrated by how small the plates were for the pancakes. If you put syrup on them it will spill over the sides making a mess over the table. We weren't offered any water to drink either. The least favorite food item was the sausage links which were thin and way too much pepper. The place wasn't very clean either. The floors were extremely sticky, especially in the bathroom and trash was all over the bathroom. Overall it was a below average dining experience.
So sad! This restaurant needs new management we arrived at IHOP inside the door at 1:30 on May 7, 2021. We were assured we would be called in in 10 minutes I gave her my name. 20 minutes later I called oh we’re sorry you can come right in. We were seated at a very nice both our waitress was pleasant enough. We ordered and at 2:30 we received our almost burnt requests! I had ordered one pancake that never did come to our table. We paid our bill I want to use the receipt and the number that was on the receipt would not go through! So that is why I am writing a review I have never been so annoyed! I have been wanting to go to this new IHOP since it opened a couple of months ago. But I would recommend you do not go there. You can always see for yourself but I really think that this place needs new management. And a few people were mentioning how three people had called in that day. Which was unprofessional. I was so shocked I could not blame the waitress for other peoples mistakes.
There was a wait to dine. No problem there. The problem is that we were a party of 2 and told 20 to 25 minutes. No problem. 45 minutes later still not sat and the host tells at least 7 other groups 20 to 25 minutes during the 45 minutes we waited. I understand short staffing and seating times are not an exact science but don't keep saying the same thing when you know there is no chance. Just tell the true and people will either except it and wait or go somewhere else if they aren't good with the time. By doing what was done means I will never go back to this ihop
This was my third and final time for trying to dine at this location. Only plus this time was I actually was seated and given a menu, my first two visits, first time, stood at check in for at least 10 minutes, no one else waiting to be seated, as employees walked by and never saying someone will be with you, even know they looked at me, left and wrote it off as being new, because it only had been open two months. Next visit was greeted, she will be right with you, don’t know who she was because she never showed up. Then today was greeted, and actually made it to the table with a menu, but that’s where it ends, the lady who seated us, said she was our waitress, and that she would be right with us, not busy at all, 10 cars in parking lot which included employees, 7 minutes later still hasn’t stopped to even ask if we would like to start with something to drink. She had even been to the table next to us three times, but never came to our table. Got up and walked out, will not go back to this location.
Food was over cooked Pancakes just about black on one side other side just tan. Link sausage came out black and crispy
The food was really overpriced, the tip is done right in front of the server so you feel almost forced into giving a higher tip than deserved. My girlfriend ate maybe 2 bites of her food and still was charged full price. The food was covered in grease and was pretty bland. I would never recommend.
I went into ihop 31 on Friday at 6:30pm was told it would be a 10-15 minute wait which was no big deal but after 20 minutes none of the tables had food yet mind you it looked as if 1 waitress was working and only 9 tables had people sitting at them so we chose to leave. So this morning at 11 ish after getting my grand daughter’s hair cut we decided to try again to get some breakfast food. We walked in and the host took our names said it will only be a few minutes. We sat there and a manager Karl walks to the paper and calls our name and when we stand up he says “ oh yeah no, sit back down cause I don’t have a table for you, mind you it was 2 adults 2 kids and a baby which uses a high chair but he took the people that had just walked in and put them at a booth that would most definitely facilitate us, we waited forever for a table. He was yelling at staff and being down right degrading to them. As we sat at our seats waiting for food he mean mugged us all. The couple sitting next to us said they see things haven’t changed since the last time they were there and won’t be back after this. I watched our waitress taking an order and he ran into her and yells out “Jesus Christ”. I had a 10, 7 and 1 year old with me and I will not be returning. The food was ok but not anything to be desired
the place wasn't busy because there was only 2cother couples but the waitress kept disappearing for very long stretches of time. I asked for a glass of ice so I could pour my orange juice over it but instead got ice water. my friend and I both got coffee but we only were given 3 creamers total then had to wait for more because the wait staff was no where to be seen. we were more than half way finished before I could ask for more napkins. just not a great experience at all
We decided to go today(friday) at the odd time of 2:00,figuring it wouldn't be busy. I was right. Only 2 other tables had customers. We were seated after a 10 minute wait. Not too bad. We were seated, and then we waited, and waited and waited some more. A waitress finally showed up at 2:45(we got there at 2:00). She was very nice. We ordered our meal when she took our drink order because we were afraid she wouldn't be back for another 45 minutes! While we waited,I was focused on killing all the flies. I asked if they had a fly swatter and she said yes but I couldn't use it. Really???? So there we sat slamming the table killing them. So NOT acceptable! There was food all over the floor, and tables had not been cleaned off after customers left. It looked like they had been sitting there for a long period of time(dishes, food scraps, etc) no wonder the place is full of flies. I expected the restaurant to be like it used to be. Great food, great atmosphere, but I was totally disappointed. As far as the food, my pancakes were way overcooked, hash browns were burnt in a rectangular shape, and unbreakable. Atmosphere? There was none. Unless you like listening to Led Zeppelin full blast! Will I return? No way. Oh yeah,we finally left the restaurant at 4:15
Horrible experience all around. We arrived, waited almost 40 minutes for a table, and then were told to come in. Even after that wait, we had to wait another 10 minutes for a server to lead us to our table. We waited for a long time until our waitress showed up and asked for drink orders, when we asked for coffee, she said that we had to wait because there were no available mugs… that’s some serious slacking and under staffing in the kitchen. We got no straws for our shakes and the replacement clean mug for yet another 20 minutes. In a tad bit, our waitress went to serve another table that come in after us prior to serving us. She seemed quite flustered over the 3 tables of larger parties but was less her fault and more of the serious understaffing causing them to scramble over all the tables. We finally put our orders in, but almost 2 hours later we hadn’t gotten our food. So we decided to leave. While the manager told us that food would be out within 15 minutes, we no longer wished to wait. While servers and hostesses we of pleasant manners, the service times were awful and no customer would wish to wait. This place could use some serious staffing and fixing.
Absolutely disgusting in there. Table dirty. Floor dirty. Silverware dirty. Straw wrappers and other miscellaneous garbage all over the floor on top of the fact that everything was sticky. Bathroom was horrific. Couldn’t even stomach eating anything after that and left. Absolutely terrifying to think how dirty the kitchen is or the hygiene of the employees if the restaurant was that dead and yet still absolutely filthy. No one even spoke to us for the first ten minutes we were in there. Huge disappointment. This restaurant is a health hazard.
Went to this location, and was given our order. Before I even took a bite waitress tried "checking on us" to confirm food was good in about 2 minutes. Less then 5 minutes after we were given our food she gave us the receipt. Then came right back to take payment. Was extremely rude and extremely rushed. I had half my food left when I had to pay and was rushed to leave because they had people waiting. I watched them rush another customer seated right next to us who did not stop eating to take money out and they approached them twice to get the money to cash the table out. 2 different waitresses. Poor training. Bad customer service. Our bill was about $70 to be rushed like to pay and leave. Pathetic.
I wish I could give 0 stars. I’d love to review the food, but can’t because we never received it. We waited almost 5 minutes to be acknowledged behind a group of three who had been there longer. We sat and in a slow but still reasonable time ordered. It was a fairly slow time with many open/empty tables. We ordered a combo and an omelet. Others came in after us and we’re slowly, eventually sat. We waited 30 minutes after placing our order without seeing our waitress and about 20 minutes not seeing anyone at all. All staff were in the kitchen. We wanted to flag someone down, but couldn’t because they were nonexistent. At the end an elderly woman was waiting for assistance at the front counter and no one was there. Eventually we left money for the drinks and ate at Panera bread. Save yourself an hour of your time. Menu looked great, but I’ll never go back.
Brought my boyfriend, and I thinking we were gonna have a good experience..we get in there I’m not even kidding. We waited 15-20 minutes there was no one upfront to seat you. Or even anyone in the back coming out to greet you. After the 20 minutes a guy says I’m so sorry we’re shortstaffed. I think I saw one server in there. It took her another 10 minutes to come and Give us our drinks. She asked my boyfriend if he wanted a refill but not me. Which my glass was sitting at the edge of the table empty. We ordered what we thought were five dollar appetizers from 3 to 9 PM. It was stated no other price was given for mozzarella sticks and these horrible jalapeño and cheese bites. Those were absolutely disgusting. It was like fake sliced cheese with huge amount of jalapeño breaded. Absolutely disgusting We didn’t even eat any of it, except for the bite we took which was terrible. We ordered the new Wonka burger and a breakfast I don’t know what cook in the world burns toast and serves it also? Had a few bites of that and put that down. We get the bill it’s $85 Mind you I already did the calculations which should’ve been $50 I was very upset and asked The waitress why the bites and mozzarella sticks were $13 instead of five dollars like it was shown. She said because we ordered at 2:55 Instead of 3 o’clock to get the five dollar appetizers. It was 3:25 when we cashed out, so how is that acceptable? When I Told her I wasn’t paying a dime over $5 for terrible bites and mozzarella sticks She remarked very snotty and said she could get the police involved. Excuse me, I was not Out of order or Irrate at this point. To threaten me with the cops is ridiculous. I told her I wanted a manager, and she gave me the most disgusting smirk, and said she was. I know she wasn’t because no manager will treat somebody like that and have a smirk on your face I’m a manager of Domino’s and the phrase the customer is always right usually pertains to you need to make and satisfy that customer!! Not sit there and act like you own the place and threaten me with cops because I said that it was five dollars like it was shown in the picture and then they get a menu to show me that it wasn’t and started at 3 o’clock Because I was five minutes before that they Wanted to upcharge me If your place isn’t doing that well and making money, do not sit there and say it’s one price wouldn’t show the other. Nothing was done about the situation and I talked to another manager. He was very polite but also didn’t want to help. Absolutely disgusting place there was trash when you walked in on the floor One waitress that claims she’s a manager and will threaten you with cops for no reason!!! And then to find another person that works in there is ridiculous! I even told the manager I will not be back, and I will be calling corporate absolutely disgusting ran business!! Worst experience ever eating out save yourself the trouble of waiting 15 minutes to be seated and cook yourself your own breakfast so you’re not paying $20 For two burnt eggs, two pancakes, one little sausage, and two measly pieces of bacon!!! That waitress should be ashamed of herself and fired!! I have never been treated so terrible in my life before as a customer Then make me feel like I’m a criminal because you’re gonna call the cops on me because it was stated different in the menu that I got ?! If I could give a negative on this place, I would.
This is after my 3rd time at this location. I've tried giving them the opportunity but each time they are always short staffed. The location is dirty and so are the tables. Very disappointing because it's the only one in the area but we will not be coming back. Especially for the prices they are changing.
I never share feedback about restaurants, but if I could give no stars I would. We ordered breakfast this morning (delivery), it cost close to $130 for breakfast, which is fine if the food is worth it. This was not. Half of our order was not in the bag, and what was in the bag, was extremely minimal for what it cost. The taste was fine, but the portion sizes were just ridiculous. When we opened the only things that actually came in the order, we honestly thought someone started to put our order together then got side tracked. The hash browns were 2 tablespoons (no exaggeration) the food was cold, all sides and extras were missing, and two out of our 4 meals were not in the bag.. for what you are charging customers IHOP, you need to do better.
Worst IHOP I ever been too. I travel al lot and from out of state. We tried Saturday the wait was told 15 mins it wasn’t even packed and waited 45 before leaving, noticed it was only 2 servers and while we waited someone was already complaining about not being served at the table. Sunday we tried again earlier, more servers and was seated pretty quickly. Thought it was going to be better but it wasn’t. Took a while for drinks, 3 tables were served ate and left before we got our food. No utensils when we sat down so we had to ask the cook who brought our food for them. Avoid this place if you can. I would say no one had an attitude or was rude so maybe that’s a plus, but at tentative they are not.
We went for an early dinner and waited forever, when we were finally seated it took a while for us to be asked to order. One of the waitress was high as hell we can definitely tell something was wrong with her. It took forever for us to get any type of service. Unfortunately we will not be back.
Got there at 630 and left at 815ish. Place was about empty. Watched two tables get up and walk out after ordering and waiting so long for their food. Server was not attentive to tables. Paid $120 for my family to eat. Fastest part of the entire experience was walking in. Will not be returning to this particular restaurant. Watertown ihop is 1000 times better when packed. Such a shame.
We waited to be seated for 5 minutes and when we asked to be seated away from children it seemed she had an issue with it by the look on her face, so we explained to her we were trying to take a break from children and she took us around the corner which was great. After a few minutes of sitting there looking at the menu, my husband saw her and another server talking about us and the fact that we wanted to be seated away from children as if it was a big issue for them, all the while, we waited at the table for 10 minutes before she came back without any drinks or to even see if we wanted anything to drink. There were roughly 4 tables occupied in the whole place so it was not like she was too busy to at least get us drinks as we looked over the menu. When she did come back we asked for coffee and water and she rudely said that she was just going to ask if we wanted that. By that point we had had enough of the attitude, the waiting , and the apparent issue of where we wanted to be seated so we told her we were going elsewhere and all she could say in a rude tone was ok as she walked away. Unbelievable!
they delivered me a disgusting sub. In fact it was the opposite of what it was supposed to be. I don’t know what it was and then you are unable to contact them. This is the first time this is ever happening to me where if I had an issue a problem with the food delivery that you can’t even contact them I had to speak to DoorDash, but you can’t directly contact the corporation at all
The service was very slow, waiters were sloppy and not very good at all surprisingly. Portions were also kind of small.
This is the absolute worst. There’s always a problem accurately filling orders and the lack of curbside pickup (which they offer when you make an order, but have never done in practice). Made an order earlier today for curbside delivery. Arrived and kept calling, no one answered. When I went inside, no host/greeter was at the front. After waiting a bit, I had to walk inside and flag a waitress after she served a table. Whew! I finally have my order. Wrong!!! Got home and realized that whoever bagged my order gave me someone else’s. Called several times, and as usual, no one answered. Now my trash is filled with iHop food items while I’m left with a growling stomach. I guess that’s the typical ihop experience now. Such a waste.
Food is okay at best. I remember it being better in Colorado. The place in Clay seems to be managed poorly. People are always standing at the door and the counter never seems to be manned as it should. 19 Sept 21 have to say o had hoped it would be better then the last time we were told twenty to thirty minutes currently over an hour right now. The girl behind the counter said they are short in the kitchen. How are you short on a Sunday in the kitchen? This is a simple fix you schedule an extra cook they can always be sent home. If it wasn't for the fact that my wife has a gluten allergy I'd never come back I hate this place.... Despite my better judgement we went back today. The floors were filthy discusting. My coffee cup was gross with stains. The coffee itself was vile tasting. Got better coffee in the Army. The omelete was barely passable it left me feeling sick to my stomach. This place is not worth the money spent.
My wife and I came in around 10 or 10:30 this past Saturday morning. We anticipated it would be busy and were prepared for a wait. When we walked in, there was another family waiting to check in and a DoorDash driver wandering about. Another one walked in, budged through the customers and surveyed the area. After about 3-5 minutes, the hostess finally came up front. She took the name of the party in front of us only after addressing the DoorDash drivers. Then I gave my name after she told me it would be about 10-15 minute wait. In that time, 3 or more parties finished eating and exited the restaurant, both DoorDash drivers left with their multiple orders, and the hostess again went missing. Several employees wandered to the check-in desk and every one dealt with the next two DoorDash drivers who came in for their orders. In the entire span of the 20-25 minutes we waited: -4 DoorDash drivers pushed through and/or wandered around until they got their orders -The hostess was only seen twice. In those encounters, she took names of guests (and never addressed them again) and catered fully to the DoorDash drivers. -4-5 tables finished and left, and no one was seated at any of those. The above events demonstrated to us that your delivery orders were much more important than your physical customers. If your staff cannot keep the pace with both, you should have turned off online ordering. This is something that is the standard at many restaurants. After the long wait with no communication, we left and went to Cracker Barrel where we were greeted with fantastic service from all of the staff, start to finish. I would definitely think twice before going to ihop again.
I came in there for lunch with my mother and son and once I got seated I seen one of the employees talking about a family who only left a $6 tip, she was yelling throughout the restaurant being very disrespectful. She threatened to mace one of the girls from the family. She had an issue ever since my family walked in. She needs to be checked and she needs to lose her job since she doesn’t no how to treat customers. I didn’t even get to eat. We just got up and walked out. I feel bad for that family
