Trattoria Sonveulla Cogne Reviews
Absolutely excellent trattoria! It's also an exceptional delicatessen, and Nicola's cured meats are unmatched for their attention to detail, unique flavor, and excellent quality! Lunch was a delight! The food was top-notch, every dish a true masterpiece. The staff was incredibly kind, always smiling and attentive to every customer's needs. Even though the place was packed, the service was super efficient. A special thanks to Nicola, the owner who makes you feel right at home. We'll definitely be back! Thank you for everything!
Truly beautiful place, you feel truly comfortable, and the service, despite the crowd, was quick and impeccable. Clean bathrooms, a warm and bright atmosphere, you really feel like you're in the Aosta Valley. The staff was impeccable, professional, and helpful. I will definitely be back, both with friends and especially with my wife for a romantic evening—it's worth it! Oh, and the prices are really affordable!
Wonderful, family run trattoria. excelent food and service. Highly recommended in cogne
We had lunch on a weekday. They offer a lunch menu (it was packed with locals and workers), which doesn't include all the dishes you'd find at dinner, but they do offer some traditional dishes. After a bit of a wait, they offered us a seat, and it was worth it. The Valdostana steak was delicious, and the sausage with polenta concia was equally good. The panna cotta and crème brûlée were excellent. The price was fair.
Tired and hungry after a hike to visit Gran Paradiso, eager to try something traditional and local, we asked if there was room for dinner, but it was all full. Nevertheless, the woman was very kind and found us a place if we were happy to eat in an hour between reservations; we were delighted and accepted. What can I say? The dinner was amazing, and not to mention, you guys gave us a THRILL! Typical local cuisine: we ordered snails (we'll never eat anything this good again), an amazing soça, plain polenta, cotechino with polenta, a mixed salad, and apple strudel, accompanied by Aosta Valley wine, and we also tried the nearby Piedmontese one. There was nothing that wasn't good, whether out of place or otherwise: the service was attentive, friendly, smiling, bread and water always served, the bill was fair and even honest, and grappa was offered at the end. We can only congratulate you, and hold on to the chef, he cooks amazing food! Thanks again, we hope to return.
Three days in Cogne, and this place was our choice for the third day. It's very hidden and poorly signposted, so it was hard to find. As soon as we walked in, it felt like a family place, packed with people. We had made a reservation, but it caught our attention that they served and gave a table first to some people who didn't have a reservation. They put us at a table with a little girl who kept banging my chair. The restaurant isn't to blame, but it made the experience horrible. They forgot to bring the wine, and we had to ask for it twice. The food was copious and delicious. Finally, the little girl left, and peace reigned, but it was closing time, and we had to leave. Recommended with children, but too noisy for my taste. The waitresses were very attentive and helpful. I won't return, but I prefer relaxed and stress-free dining. Nevertheless, I truly recommend it.
It was an excellent experience to taste local dishes. Staff was really friendly and the whole service was great. Truly recommend for meat lovers.
Friendly, prompt service, truly fair prices, and excellent food. It's hard to ask for more. Highly recommended, and reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. PS: The trio of polenta main courses is remarkable, as is the cotechino with polenta and fondue. The strudel is truly excellent. The house red, too, is very drinkable at €10 a liter. Rating: excellent with honors.
The food is very good and the service- excellent
Good food and friendly service!
a welcoming atmosphere with exceptional service. The rustic ambiance is instantly inviting, making it a cozy escape. Prices are reasonable, and the quality of the food is outstanding. A must-try is their Seupetta, a traditional dish that is a highlight of their menu, showcasing rich, perfectly cooked flavors. A gem for anyone looking for a delightful mountain dining experience.
