Amparo Café Colima Reviews
This is still one of my favorite places to spend a pleasant afternoon with my friends, enjoying a coffee or a matcha latte. Plus, it has a lovely view of the garden. It seems like a great spot for people to bring their kids to play while they have a drink and chat. In short, I highly recommend this little café.
Lovely atmosphere! I love that it's right next to the park. Excellent service, everyone was so friendly. The chilaquiles were delicious and plentiful. I especially want to highlight the service because they were incredibly kind, unlike anything I've ever experienced at other restaurants. I'll definitely be back! :)
It's a very pleasant place, with plenty of vegetation, relaxing music at a reasonable volume, and next to a beautiful park. You can go there with your pets without any problems. The food is very good, with excellent flavor, presentation, and price. They have a breakfast/lunch menu and another for lunch, as well as desserts and drinks. You can go as a couple, alone, or with your family, as it's a place suitable for everyone. The only downside is the service, as it's mostly young people and they're quite distracted. Sometimes you have to yell at them or get up and go to the counter to order something else or get the bill. I recommend going in the morning, as it's quite cool and you can fully enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate with bread.
The food is great, their teas are amazing, service is also the best. Located in a park with beautiful trees! I highly recommend it for a chill casual evening!
Delicious mango smoothies and sandwiches. Hand - made bread. Good coffee from Colima's Fire Volcano geographical indication. Beautiful gardening.
Beautiful place with good food
Beautiful setting. Cool breeze and nice selection
Nice😎🗼
The place is comfortable, but the menu isn't very varied. The drinks are okay, and the bakery is good too, but it could offer more variety. The place is small, so when it gets crowded, it's not the most comfortable for conversation, and it's nice that it has an outdoor area. The service is good.
The tapas are delicious, although their salsa macha was missing the chopped chili peppers. Their menu has a mistake and is confusing, although the service was good and the guy who served me was able to point out the error and answer another question I had about a dish (to see if it was safe to eat). However, he seemed impatient while serving me because I think he was the only waiter. The atmosphere is pleasant, relaxed, and good for conversation; it's comfortable. But the vibe isn't amazing. During the day, the atmosphere feels fresh with a view of the garden and that natural energy. But last night when I went, it was pleasant but not a 10; it's missing something to give it that extra touch. The menu is complete but not varied. Although it's understandable that it's a café and not a restaurant. The quality-price ratio is good, or even a little cheap. The prices are very affordable.
Excellent coffee and drinks, phenomenal please, but closes too soon
The place is nice, the food is not very varied but it's good, what leaves a bad taste in my mouth is the service, they made us wait for a table of 5 for more than an hour and a half, when couples arrived they were seated before us, instead of attending to those who arrived first (us).
The service was horrible. The waiters are not attentive. I asked for a hot chocolate and specifically told them I wanted it very hot. It comes out and the chocolate is mild. I had to ask them to take it back and warm it up. Then I ordered my food which was chilaquiles with chicharron prensado and was not happy at all… My chilaquiles were falling apart not even crunchy, the chicharron prensado had more fat than anything. I asked the waiter for the menu and I ordered machaca with egg and it was good until i almost lost a piece of my own tooth. I had bit into some sort of rock. I took it out my mouth and it was a green piece of hard material. I handed it to the waiter and asked him to feel it and he said it feels like a rock and I then told him it came out from my food. He said he would mention it to the cooks. Never once apologized or anything. I will not return to this place. Very unhappy of the food and service. Waiter never came to ask if we wanted a refill on coffee we had to ask. Maybe your employees need to be trained properly and or take classes on customer service.
0 + 0 =0 This place a total zero. They do not accept debit cards. In this day and age it’s not acceptable for a place like this not to accept debit cards, period. Find a more practical place.
