We stopped at Mariscos Hernández in Colima on the way back home from Barra and very glad we found it. It’s close to the Highway, easy to get there and get back on. We were the only gringos there and staff was friendly, food was tasty and well priced. We’ll definitely return on future visits. Recommend.

This place is good affordable very affordable food very great people of colima I recommend getting the empanizado shrimp it's popular there even though I chose other plates that I really wasn't to excited about but it's a great place with good micheladas and drinks

A very nice place, in my opinion. Cleaning is done right up until closing time, and not during the time it's supposed to be open, as they were clearing away tables and chairs and were even sweeping while we were sitting at one of them. The food is delicious, their fried fish is delicious, and the coleslaw is delicious as a side dish. Perhaps because of the time, the rice was completely cold; the steamed vegetables were perfectly cooked. The young waiter was very friendly. The fish ceviche was well-seasoned, very tasty, and with its spicy sauce, it's delicious. I recommend their fresh horchata water. Again, because they were cleaning up before closing, we decided to order our dish to go. 😮‍💨😮‍💨

It's not bad, the kitchen is adequate without being extraordinary, to my taste it lacks the flow of seasoning that gives the dish that touch that highlights the flavor without feeling artificial, for example the consommé cocktail had a smell like ground dried shrimp or they will move the shrimp shells to enhance the flavor, and even so it lacked salt, and that's even though I like dried shrimp for snacks, but I think the flavor of the cocktail style is simpler and more natural, I ordered a stuffed fillet, the portion was acceptable, the filling was also very little octopus like a tentacle of about 7 8 cm, the rest was shrimp, I ordered it grilled, I think it was a Dorado fillet which is very good, the cheese is average, it's more I don't really remember the flavor of this one there is another point to improve, and when grilled it needs to be hydrated or bathed with some sauce or topping that gives it a crust of flavor and not exactly that it tastes more like fish or charal, but rather like a sarandeado the prices could be slightly higher Be a little more restrained in the kitchen that offers simple and ordinary, average-good, but not extraordinary, for the prices. There are places with better cuisine and seasoning proposals.
