Amore Italian Grille Colorado Springs Reviews
Just opened (formerly Ambli). Some familiar faces and some new. Dined in the bar today. Mediterranean grape smash with vodka….very tasty! Yummy crispy Brussels sprouts. Laid back bar atmosphere. Will be back soon for dinner! Sydney was a superb server!
Amazing food! And the two women that own this place are so freaking incredibly nice 🖤 we went there for my MIL birthday and the food was incredible
Excellent food.. Authenticity is there... Great date night vibe...soft ambience perfect addition for foodies in the springs
From the moment we walked in, everything about this experience was exceptional. The food was nothing short of outstanding, beautifully presented, perfectly balanced in flavor, and clearly crafted with intention and care. Every dish felt thoughtful and elevated, from the first bite to the last. Given the holiday we enjoyed the prix fixe menu and it was all so good. We began the meal with a tasty arancini, then moved on to Amore kale salad. The salad was so unique and absolutely delicious. I then chose the mushroom risotto which was packed with vegetables and perfectly cooked. The entree I selected was a perfectly prepared branzino and we finished with their vanilla cream filled donuts. The entire meal was so good. What makes Amore so special goes beyond their food. The ambiance is elevated and the service is superb. Pariza and Kelly know just what it takes to be exceptional and they always deliver. If you were looking for a high level dining experience. Don’t miss Amore.
I struggled with how many stars I wanted to leave. The chicken parmesan and the arancini were delicious. The meatballs were a little fatty and chewy. Our server misheard our salad order. She came out to let us know that our salad would be arriving soon. When she said Caesar salad my husband corrected her. She acknowledged that she had put the wrong order in and went to go see if she could change it. A couple minutes later the Caesar salad was delivered by someone that was helping our server. We had overheard them speaking about how they were short-handed, so we just decided to start eating the salad. A couple minutes later our server showed up and seemed upset that we were eating the salad because she had put in a new order for the correct salad. It wasn't our fault and we had been sitting for a long time because they took a lot of time to deliver each appetizer. Was also a little miffed that the Martini was supposed to be olive infused with blue cheese olives and it didn't taste like olives nor were the olives stuffed with blue cheese. At $18 I just expect a little more in a drink. It would have been nice if they comped the salad. Not sure if we will return.
We expected more, and were disappointed in our experience. We knew the menu was limited, so we expected high quality in delivery of the items available. Chicken parm was good, but the squid ink pasta fell short....zero flavor (salt would have helped) and just 2 scallops with some very average shrimp. A slice of bread came with each dish, but as they brought the meal, they took our bread plates away? and put our silverware directly on the table. Food was served lukewarm, and server never checked in, so we could not ask for salt or let her know of temperature issues. We get the minimalist aesthetic, but perhaps a table cloth would help to cover the scratched table. With so many good quality Italian places in the Springs, you can do better elsewhere.
It was fine but really disappointed with the experience. First, I was texted personally before our reservation to make sure we were actually coming and to let us know we have a time limit for dining. Doesn’t seem like something a business should be doing with paying customers. Portions were very small with a big price tag and wasn’t anything that blew our minds. I would have honestly rather have gone to olive garden and at least not have to pay for a slice of bread. Service was fine but we just got a terrible vibe from the whole experience in general. Overall it’s very overrated and would just say go somewhere else.
