We came here as our first meal in Como after Roma and Venice. We really liked what we ordered. Truffle menu is great. We had tagliatelle with truffle (they are generous on the truffle). Delicious! The truffle taste is strong and clear but not overwhelming. One of the best pasta dishes we had. We also ordered pork fillet. A great dish with unique combination of tender pork, fried sweet potatoes, lightly grilled onion (also with a hint of sweetness from the vegetable itself) and the sweet potato sauce artistically presented. Smoked salmon is a good dish, fresh ingredients and a cute presentation. The restaurant has a beautiful and spacious outdoor seating area in a large squire with lighting and plants, and probably hundreds other seating from other restaurants. This gave us such wonderful atmosphere and an wonderful dining experience around sunset. It is a little on the pricey side but worth it!

This restaurant is an absolute gem. My partner and I went there 1 week ago and had the truffle risotto and carbonara with asparagus!!! Both dishes amazingly delicious, beautiful location, polite and efficient staff and also my partner had the best red wine she's ever had I her life too!!! Loved it!!!

It was our first time in Como and were eager to have a really good lunch after a long walk. Hosterietta was much beyond our expectation. One of the best risotto we have ever tried. Perfect Aperol. Everything is great!!!

Usually one doesn't expect a high quality food on the main city square but this restaurant is definitely an exception. It's located on the Piazza Alessandro Volta, with a outdoor seating, offering nice views of the square. Food was exceptional. I can highly recommend the aubergine with cheese and ham. The seabass in salt was expertly fileted in front of us and tasted really good. The truffle risotto had a huge amount truffles. The service was very friendly. Additional benefit is the proximity to the boat pier. So if you're waiting for a boat and want to have lunch, this is the place to go.

Tucked at the edge of the square lies Ristorante Hosterietta. From the seating outside you can observe the square and with luck the bus drivers navigating the tight turn. However back to the food, eggplant appetizer was the best eggplant dish I probably ever had. Same goes for the risotto with truffle.

Absolutely divine meal, pictured are the Spaghetti con vongole and Polpo and prawn salad. The spaghetti was 5/5 and the salad was 3/5 because the salad was delicious but the salad leaves were old and the ends were turning wilted and pink.
