La Ghironda Como Reviews
What a lovely restaurant. Delicious food with a nice homey atmosphere. We were vacationing in a hotel nearby, and ended up eating here twice. The lasagna was fantastic, as was the zucchini carpaccio w/calamari.
It took a while to order because the QR code wouldn't open the page. Only after receiving a paper menu did we place our order.
What a hidden gem! This is the ultimate quirky restaurant. The food is superb!! The homemade bread was amazing. We had melt in the mouth calamari, no breadcrumbs no batter!! Awesome!! My main course of Frito lake fish was amazing, no hint of oil, crisp and hot as was the verdure (vegetables). Excellent! My pannacotta had a perfect wobble. Beware the portions may be too much.
The chef's creativity never ceases to amaze and fascinate us: dishes that are often innovative, using lesser-known or underused ingredients, sometimes rooted in ancient traditions that deserve to be rediscovered. The restaurant, ideal for a quick and affordable business lunch, is at its best and is highly recommended, especially during special weekend menus or for particular local events. The owners' kindness and helpfulness, the prompt yet respectful service, and the satisfying wine selection make it a frequent and repeat destination for our evenings. We often return with friends: evenings are always a success, and we always make a good impression. Once, we were greeted with a "welcome" of bruschetta (with anchovies, pancetta, and a bed of salad), accompanied by Sangria jelly; then we were delighted with a smoked beef carpaccio as an appetizer (plenty!), followed by a risotto with red peppers and creamed goat cheese (on the "Menù in Rosso" evening); Finally, the tart with white chocolate cream and raspberries is unparalleled! Last night we tried a new menu: all the dishes received top marks.
Best place in the area ! Good at lunch and at dinner ! Highly recommended !
We often come in the evening; not at all crowded, quiet as we like it... you feel at home. All delicious and generous portions... from missoltino and polenta to pumpkin tagliatelle. Friendly and nice staff! The menu is so interesting that I can't make up my mind every time. I adore you!
Great food for value!! Very tasty, good menu and well served. Recommended for a good place near Como
The best food I've tasted on Italy.
Small family run business. Great food, very helpful staff, and average prices. Recommended!
Excellent, healthy, authentic cuisine. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available. Seasonal menus featuring local and regional dishes. A welcoming, colorful atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable prices for the Como area and surrounding areas. Just steps from the Swiss/Ticino border. Recommended!
The place isn't very large, but the tables aren't too close together. The interior decor is simple but pleasant. The menu offers a good selection, and the dishes are very tasty (in my opinion, some dishes had too much salt and parsley as a garnish, but overall they're definitely good). The dishes are well-plated and the portions are just right. Recommended!
For a company dinner, we chose this restaurant. I'd never been there before, but I've definitely been coming here for many years! We found the staff very helpful in accommodating our group. We had two first courses, a second course, and a dessert. Everything was delicious and carefully served. They offer a workers' menu for lunch. It's on the main road, but there are free parking spaces in front and along the street. I recommend booking!
Friendly and nice staff for the food I can rate little, I took the fixed menu at 11 euros and honestly I was not satisfied pasta with ragu not very tasty insipid and then it was cold, the saltinbocca were not very tasty dry and definitely overcooked, I tried the meat stew but I had to give it to my partner because in the sauce there were mushrooms that I do not eat. But unfortunately on the sheet on the table with the dishes of the menu the ingredients were written too small and not having reading glasses I could not read. Too bad because it is a nice and welcoming place small but well organized divided into 3 rooms.
Easter menu is disappointed.
