Dai Luca Corniglia Reviews
We skipped the restaurant and went straight to the busy take out window. Ordered fried calamari with fries in a paper cone and a glass of white wine, took it to the water and enjoyed the sunset. I can still taste that tender and sweet calamari. I have never had a fresher squid in my life and I wish I would have gone back every night that I was in Cinque Terre. So romantic, so simple, so delicious!! Fabulous way to dine and enjoy the waterfront and amazing views!!!
The spaghetti al mare was fantastic! Fresh pasta and great taste of the tomatoe sauce! I really loved it. It was also a fantastic scenery with ocean splashing up -great experience! Staff was very friendly. Nice glass of red wine to the food and some sparkling water. Around 31 euros including everything.
We liked it so much we ate there multiple times. The views, food and service were all excellent. Have the Trofie Al pesto! We also had the Caprese salad, anchovy appetizer, seafood mix grill, seafood spaghetti, panna cotta and lemon cake -- everything was delicious. The servers were very friendly and attentive.
Had a fresh yummy dinner at this gorgeous location by the Ligurian sea in the cute town of Vernazza. The folks were kind and quickly found us a table. We had refreshing white wine, caprese salad, fresh sea bream, pasta and everything tasted delicious and fresh. Even the tiramisu at the end was just awesome. Perfect place, great food and a beautiful evening.
The location and the view were absolutely fantastic. The food was decent and fairly priced. You do get the feeling that things are run a bit like a machine — fast-paced and not overly personal — but honestly, when you’ve just hiked and you’re hungry and thirsty, it’s hard to complain about fast service. That said, there’s only one toilet, and unfortunately it was dirty and missing a toilet seat, which really brought down the overall experience.
The location of the restaurant is all it really has going for it. I got the seafood spaghetti and my husband got the fritto misto (they require everyone order their own dish). We went just planning to sit and enjoy a snack and some drinks, but accepted their rules with it being right by the water and a popular spot. Truly the most disappointing dish we have had in Italy. I would not recommend it to anyone. Location would have saved it *slightly* if the crowds right there weren’t so crazy. We couldn’t see the water or really anything at that point. Maybe go at a non-peak time and this will be better for you.
If you're in town looking for a view to remember, this place delivers — stunning scenery, ideal for your next Instagram post or travel vlog. But if you're also hungry… maybe pack a sandwich. The complimentary bread was surprisingly decent (chewy, warm, and arguably the highlight of the meal), though served in a cloth basket that shed more than a long-haired cat in summer. Nothing says “bon appétit” like pulling mystery fibers off your baguette. As for the main course? Imagine a ready-made Aldi microwave meal… but somehow with less flavor and more regret. We tried to be optimistic, but the taste had clearly taken a vacation of its own. Service? Meh. Not rude, just… uninspired. Like they knew they didn’t need to try, since the view would do the heavy lifting. In short: come for the view, stay for the bread, lower your culinary expectations. A classic tourist trap — pretty on the outside, disappointing on the plate. Rating: 2/5 (1 star for the view, 1 star for the free bread, minus points for the hair).
It was the worst calamari I've ever eaten. It was like rubber. We ate one and left it. When we told the chef, he didn't care. We asked him to change the calamari and he didn't change it. We told him we shouldn’t pay it. He was very rude and said, "No, you have to pay all.” I definitely don't recommend it.
