Beach + Taco Shack Coronado Reviews
Bomb drinks (mango daiquiri) and delicious tacos. The steak chimmichuri taco was definitely the best, tender and juicy and flavorful. Would pass on the grilled fish taco bc it was dry and overcooked. We would definitely come back for more drinks on the beach 🍹 Service was fast and friendly and there are picnic tables nearby on the beach reserved for patrons.
These tacos were fully loaded and full of flavor! So good! Drinks here are fun and have healthy pours! If you’re looking for a quick Bite, stop here! And there is seating at some picnic tables on the beach nearby! We were there on a Sunday, and they had live music! He was a great singer, singing a lot of covers and provided for a nice ambiance.
We did dinner there last night enjoy all of the different tacos offered. It is perfect for kids to play in the sand while parents enjoy a meal and drink. It was quick and easy.
Great place to enjoy a drink or a bite of food overlooking the Coronado Beach and Hotel del Coronado. Weekends are busy yet we were able to get a table to enjoy the cold beverage enjoying the autumn sun. They play live music in the afternoons making the place to visit and enjoy time with family and friends. Free street parking is available a short walk away but can be hard to find at times. A must visit destination on your next trip to San Diego.
1st time here, and I loved the surf and turf tacos as well as the view! Absolutely recommended this taco spot when there is live music. I will be coming here very soon again! These tacos were delicious and the view was beautiful
This place is great. I don't know why the 3.8 rating as they are really good. Maybe the price, but it is on a Resort so expect tye resort prices. The drinks are great, plenty of beach seating and the wait staff was quick. Different offerings with the Tacos and you can take them to go as well. Would reccomend
I don't know if they have live music all the time, but that's what made me stop for a $23 drink and $12 taco!
Great place to stop by to get drinks or some tacos. The line can get long but it's worth the wait and the bartenders make the drinks pretty quick so the lines moves fast. There is additional seating area across from the shack where you can enjoy beach views and listen to music.

Honestly could be considered a bit pricy until you finish your first drink. The bar tenders make some of the best drinks I've ever had and at first they seem to just be heavy on the fruit but about halfway thru you realize they balance the alcohol perfectly so you cant tell that they definitely make them very sturdy for a day at the beach. As for the tacos, I usually end up having several by the end of the day they are just so balanced and flavorful. Good portion size too (I usually get several fish tacos and one or two shrimp thru the day). I will always recommend the classic margarita with a tajin rim or the watermelon drinks they make. The fruit garnish is to die for and very refreshing complement to the drink itself. I am very passionate about this place.
Tacos are 9/10. Solid size and very good fish tacos. They are expensive but worth it. Great seating at tables on the beach

Obviously the view, Coronado California beachside, is perfection! The food is excellent .The service is friendly, the area is clean and they allow dogs. As a dog mom, I appreciate the love and attention they gave my baby.
Fantastic service. My drink “Bay of Plenty” was delicious! I could use plenty more of those this trip. My food came fast and hot. Decent flavor. Great portion size. I ate right on the beach! Thank you Brian for helping me to my seat. The customer service in San Diego is 2nd to none and these guys did not disappoint. I’ll be back!
Can't beat tacos on the beach! What a beautiful view and a friendly staff, although acted too quickly to allow for us to customize anything. The tacos were good! We ate the asada, spicy shrimp, and catch of the day (which was a little dry). Drinks were fairly overpriced but strong. Overall a wonderful experience on an overcast day.
The tacos were super delicious. And we had tasty cocktails and mock tails also. The line was a bit long and in the sun, and then finding a place to eat in the shade was quite difficult. Also, everything was quite expensive, especially the drinks which were all $20 at least.
3.5 stars for the tacos. 0.5 stars for the friendly staff. So as much I as loved the vibe of the Sun Deck, if you're looking for the shack experience, look no further than the Beach Shack. They have tables up front, some high, some low, others picnic tables with mismatched chairs and umbrellas. Music plays all around you and you can see people chilling, playing, getting ready to get into the water, all right in front of you. If you ever wanted the relaxed beach vibe, this is it!! We chose the beef, fish and shrimp tacos and the chips and salsa. Out of the tacos- I liked the fish, shrimp, beef in descending order. I really liked all of them. They're not anywhere close to what you'd get at Taco Stand or Salud, but you also won't get the vibes at those places. I lived the salsa as it was gauc based. The chips were decent. For the two of us, all of this food was quite filling. A well-spent early afternoon by the beach. FYI: you can use the Del dining credit here..

Tourist tacos, tourist prices. They were decent size, but not worth the $9 each they're charging. Beef was dry and needed more sauce. Fish was overcooked to the point it wasn't the right texture anymore. Chips and green salsa was good, nice quality tortillas. Service from the guys was great, even though I had to ask for my card back when it wasn't returned.
The tacos were fine (shrimp is cooked perfectly) and made all the better with packets of Cholula. The view is pretty unbeatable and the staff was efficient and helpful. You're definitely paying for the location but no regrets!

The most mediocre tacos I’ve had, which was a shock because that is literally all they do. I would have a beer here again, but never eat here again.

Absolutely horrendous experience. I ordered 2 tacos- one carne asada and one Al pastor - each with no onions or chiles. Both tacos came with onions and chiles and sauce (even though they said up front no sauce came on the tacos). I politely asked them to fix my order and they came back with 2 rock hard tortilla shells with only meat inside. When I asked them why they were completely plain they just told me all the salsa has onions, which I understood and asked them for plain tomatoes and cheese. They told me they would have to charge me for that (after they completely screwed up my order) and said they would have to get their manager to come to the store and approve that. Needless to say I left and I I’ll never be back. 20 minutes and $26 completely wasted. Awful food and even worse service!!!

I bought a taco small taco for $16 and it was the worst taco I’ve ever had in my life I could barely chew the meat. It was dry. tasteless. The tortilla was dry. The meal was cold. The man who brought it out was very sweet though I gave him a tip!!!
We ordered a total of four tacos, the cost was $62 (with 15% tip included) and the tacos were small, street taco size, they were dry, too salty, and there was no salsa or a side. Very disappointing, best to go to Orange avenue to get decent food.
