We had the pleasure of enjoying a fantastic granita accompanied by a delicious brioche, fresh from the oven. It was truly top-notch and also very reasonable for the price, the quantity, and especially the quality of the products. I was a little hesitant, given that it was May 1st and all the negative reviews, the place was packed. However, I was served within 10 minutes, and before I could consume my order, a woman—who some have described poorly—served me with a simple smile. I will definitely be back; if there's any service issues, I certainly won't be so harsh on the staff. I'll simply make a point.

Sentito nominare come uno dei bar migliori di Catania decido di farci un salto. Granite con brioche come da descrizione: enormi e pure ottime a prezzi a dir poco stracciati, inoltre la brioche nonostante la grandezza non ti lascia quella sensazione di nausea e pesantezza in giornata. Passiamo ai contro: è tra i bar più affollati di tutta Catania. Miriade di persone giungono in massa per accaparrarsi i posti, è uno stress tra gente entra, che esce, chi ti guarda fisso in attesa che salti dal tavolo. Costa pochissimo mangiare ed è per questo che trovi tantissima confusione.

Even the most beautiful roses, unfortunately, have thorns. The best, cheapest, and most abundant granita in eastern Sicily, which costs only €3, including a (giant) brioche. The food, which I've been frequenting for over a year, has always been top-notch and well-received. The place is located almost at the entrance to Catania, a busy area for out-of-towners. Parking is plentiful, and can handle the large influx of cars and people in the area; it's difficult to drive around looking for a parking spot. The only thing that takes the place down, unfortunately, is the staff. Given that everyone frequents the place, from kind and polite people to people who have never received any manners and act as if everything is owed to them, it's a shame. Workers are human, and it's normal and acceptable that, faced with such situations, they might lose patience and behave "wrongly" with customers. This was always my thought the first few times I frequented the restaurant. However, after more than a year of frequenting it, I can certify that it's not a coincidence, it's not impatience. The staff at Pasticceria Soave are, in all respects, rude, bordering on rude. (The only exception is the cashier.) Even the best dishes lose value if they aren't served with a smile.

Rude staff, the lady at the cash register should change roles or manage the shop. The slushes seen on YouTube are not giant, like the slushes themselves, the chocolate tasted of nothing.

So even though we had a reservation, they made us wait, but oh well, we arrived early, that's understandable, but even after the reservation time, we waited, even OVER AN HOUR to eat at the table. If it hadn't been for Dario, a very kind waiter, we wouldn't have gone. Anyway, the quality of the food wasn't great. We ordered an aperifish, which was practically a scam: all chips underneath and a bit of fried fish on top, so it looked like a lot, but there was actually very little. The aperipizza is better, although I haven't tried it and never will because I'll never go there again.

Esperienza PESSIMA. A parte il poco personale in sala, sopratutto di domenica che non si ragiona proprio. Abbiamo ordinato alle 13:10 e ancora alle 13:45 non era arrivato nemmeno un piatto. 13:50 arrivano i primi due piatti e sottolineo GHIACCIATI. I secondi non erano ancora arrivati, quindi mi dirigo in sala ma i dipendenti al bancone ( molto ineducati) mi dicono:”I contorni che lei ha ordinato sono finiti” Come è possibile che dei piatti ordinati alle 13:10 dove tutto quello che volevo era esposto, alle 14 quasi, sono finiti e nessuno mi comunica niente? Loro continuavano a voler ragione su tutto, alchè prendo la decisione di farmi tornare i soldi indietro e ordino solo una granita. Morale della favola? Sbagliano anche il gusto della granita e per giunta la brioche totalmente cruda. Torno a casa senza aver mangiato nulla, sconsiglio vivamente questo posto c’è molto ma molto di meglio. Delusione assoluta, non meritano neanche 1€.

Volevo ordinare una torta da loro ,chiamo e cambio immediatamente idea per la scortesia della signora che ha risposto al telefono . Mi contento pagarla in più altrove che non farla lì. Pessima valutazione da parte mia mi spiace avete perso una futura cliente. Vi consiglio vivamente di cambiare proprio personale. La gentilezza paga in tutto cari miei!

@Valentina:abbiamo appena mangiato li prendendo un menù completo che prevedeva crudo e mozzarella rigatoni alla norma, cotoletta con pomodoro e patatine. dopo ore di attesa sbagli con le comande inizia ad arrivare la prima portata invece del crudo e mozzarella e arrivato cotto e mozzarella, ma va bene avranno finito il crudo, attendiamo un altra abbondante mezz'ora piena arrivano i rigatoni duri che non si potevano nemmeno mangiare va bene stiamo zitti anche lì, arriva la cotoletta con pomodoro e mozzarella sopra totalmente cruda, li allora sbottiamo dato che stava mangiando una donna al 7 mese di gravidanza. vergognatevi tutta la pubblicità che fate rapporto qualità e pari a 0. Mi dispiace non aver fotografato il per provare quello che sto dicendo. Vergogna

I have been a customer for many years, I have never had anything to complain about until yesterday, today 25/12/25 I can say that they gave the maximum of bad organization, I booked many days before the chase like many customers, and maybe it's just me who says so but it doesn't matter a reservation for 7.00 pm I arrived at 6.30 pm I left at 10.00 pm they didn't even know where my order ended up, they promised to take the order but not being able to organize the orders there were people who took orders made for 9.00 pm out of friendship while people like me for 7.00 pm saw customers pass through a different channel and take their own order at least from what I'm saying I fell for it and this will not happen again from 6.30 pm I left at 10.00 pm and it's not normal I will never let it happen again to be treated not as customers but as a........them in other businesses more than half an hour after the reservation not I would have waited anyway, according to them they did a good job

Disappointing experience. The chocolate granita was virtually flavorless, its color was faded, and it was clearly visible that it wasn't made with pure chocolate. The almond granita was acceptable. The brioche was good and pleasant to eat. The pistachio croissants were very good, but the Nutella croissant was inedible: anything but Nutella. The ricotta ravioli didn't seem fresh, probably from the day before. To make the experience even worse, the lady at the cashier was very unfriendly and rude. Not recommended.

INCOMPETENT. I requested a specific cake, with clear details, and instead you changed everything without telling me. The final result doesn't match my request in the slightest. Honestly, this shows a serious lack of professionalism: I paid for a job done properly, and instead I got something completely different. This is unacceptable to me.

I'd heard good things about this place. But you should never trust other people's opinions. Yesterday afternoon, I got in the car and headed to Catania to try these famous panettone. I arrived, parked, and went to the cashier. The very kind lady at the cashier offered me the various flavors. I told her that for now, I'd get the pistachio one to try, and I explained that I'd be back to order at least 15 of the mixed flavors. I got in the car and, armed with a knife, started cutting the panettone (curiosity got the better of me 😂). Absolute disappointment. It tasted like a panettone made last year—dry, dry, and even the Nutella was all in one piece, dry. Poor flavor. You should be ashamed, and thank goodness I didn't order the others. Bar Soave, you'll never see me again.

The photo will speak for itself. I have to bring it to an anniversary, and I'm embarrassed to even present it. No effort, I'll never get custom cakes again.
