La Locanda sul Po Corso Tortona Reviews
Excellent service, terrace overlooking the Po, quality raw materials.
A charming place along the Po. Clean, and the food is delicious, both fish and meat. Compliments to the chef and staff. You can even smoke cigars on the terrace! Thank you, and see you soon, Eleonora.
A simple restaurant with attention to detail. The view of the Po River is wonderful, being right on the riverbank is a lovely feature, and the absence of pesky mosquitoes is a real plus. The service was very efficient, with its friendliness and simplicity making you feel at ease. The food was excellent and carefully prepared (the first courses were very good, with a focus on flavor). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO SPEND A QUIET EVENING IN HARMONY WITH NATURE.
Surely the great company helped, I can still say that the service and food were pleasant. The environment right on the po' is characteristic, informal and pleasant. The owner was courteous and friendly.
"La Locanda Sul Po" is an enchanting place, a haven of peace and serenity on the banks of the Po, perfect for spring and summer. Even the dining room is very welcoming. The owner and staff are extremely kind and helpful. We had lunch with linguine allo scoglio and fried fish with baked chips, both spectacular. To finish, a delicious Bonèt, perfectly sweet. The price is absolutely reasonable for the top-quality food! Thank you for your hospitality. Roberto and Francesco
We went with a Groupon and chose the fish option. The appetizers were delicious (five of them) and the welcome aperitif was delicious, with a choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic options. You can then choose a first and second course from the à la carte menu. We opted for the paccheri with shrimp and cherry tomatoes, tagliolini with seafood, and the grilled fish. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. Two glasses of white wine and a bottle of water were included. To finish, a trio of desserts (bounet, profiteroles, and panna cotta). The location is charming, and in the summer, it's even more popular, as the panoramic terrace overlooks the Po. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
La Locanda Sul Po", un luogo incantevole, un'enclave di pace e serenità sulle rive del Po, perfetto per la primavera e l'estate, anche la saletta interna è molto accogliente. Titolare e personale gen…
Fish dinner with friends. Nice atmosphere. Clean place. The owner was very kind and attentive to our needs (a vegetarian guest was treated very well). Fair price for a fish dinner. The house wine was decent.
Located on the banks of the Po, with a lovely terrace for outdoor dining in the summer. We tried the seafood menu proposed by the waiter, which was excellent and plentiful. Meat options are also available, and even the traditional "bagna cauda" is available upon request. The space is very spacious, also suitable for parties and receptions. The staff are helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately, our experience wasn't a positive one. We found a visible hair on our plate, which put us off. Added to this was the extremely long service time, so much so that we had to cancel our second courses and leave the restaurant. However, we should point out the owner's honesty, who apologized and didn't charge us for the offending dish.
Nice place that would lend itself to better food. I order a fish and they bring half a small one!? The menu includes vegan options, but no dairy-free desserts.
Group of friends, a place overlooking the rain-swollen Po River, a 1970s-style bowling alley atmosphere, friendly service... The good news ends here: the meat menu is banal, many dishes are tasteless and too garlicky, the wine is "discount" quality, the dessert (Bunet) is unsightly... Prices aren't high, but the food is forgettable. I won't be back!
N.n.
Since the change of management, the place has fallen into a complete decline. The fixed-price menu has different prices than those advertised online and on The Fork (at the manager's discretion...). The food is poor (hair was found in the meat!!!) The service is extremely slow and the bathrooms are filthy despite practically no one being there. It's a shame because it used to be a nice place. Absolutely avoid.
