Wahoo's Fish Taco Costa Mesa Reviews
Love everything on their menu. Our go to place for tacos on Tuesdays!!! Food is awesome and they have great portions.
If your looking for great food at amazing prices and a drive thru.. Alejandro’s is your gem. Huge food portions. I mean HUGE. Had the quesadilla, torta, chicken tacos and burrito. Should have taken pics.. but it was so good it was gone. Eat here… often
This Mexican restaurant has easily become one of my go-to spots. Their crispy chicken and crispy beef tacos are AMAZING. Perfectly cooked and **Loaded** with meat. They definitely don’t skimp, which is a huge plus, especially if you’re trying to hit your protein goals. I’m also a big fan of their bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito in the mornings. It’s filling, flavorful, and always hits the spot. The staff is absolutely incredible. Super friendly, welcoming, and consistent, which is why I’ve become a regular 😄 Overall, the quality is top-notch, the portions are generous, and the pricing is very fair. Highly recommend!
They have the best chorizo burritos I have ever had in my life Hands-down, the best Chorizo burritos Out of any restaurant in the country, This place doesn’t fill the burrito with eggs and sprinkle a little bit of chorizo in it They actually load it up with chorizo!!!
I went thru the drive through, my wife liked her tostadas, my pastor burrito had a strong taste that I couldn’t get off my tongue, but overall it was a good value. I’ll probably get the steak next time.
I really like the food here. The portioning to price, and the quality of the food is better than all the other local restaurants of similar size and type that I've eaten at.
yo i hope the hot sauce was just off today cuz if you changed it, it sucks now
I eat at Alejandro’s 3 times a week. The drive thru is fast, the tacos with shredded beef are amazing! I highly recommend the breakfast burritos and the carne asada quesadilla too! Also the guys working here are very nice!
I LOVE Alejandro’s. This joint has been a longstanding staple for Mexican food in Costa Mesa. My husband and I eat here all the time when we crave Mexican. The food is always tasty and the prices are fair for the quality of what you get. The staff is friendly and service is always quick. Has been and always will be our go-to for quick delish Mexican food.
I pass by the drive thru to get a burrito, it was delicious. I'll be back. If you are planning to go to the Newport crystal cove, this will be the best spot to stop. Get food before you go.
This place has been around for a long time, and there's good reason why, when most fast food restaurants go out of business in a few years. I first ate here almost 20 years ago when I lived in the area. I left many years ago but whenever I am in the area, I still make it a point to go have their chicken burrito. It is that awesome. The burrito consists of just shredded chicken with sauce wrapped in tortilla. No rice, beans or anything else. That's what makes it so unique, and honestly, the best tasting burrito I've ever had. Highly recommended for Mexican food lovers.
I happen to like this little taco stand in Costa Mesa and there are many great taco places in this town. Drive through and walk up only with some outside seating. But the simple beef tacos (deep fried) are great and I can add what I want to them to make them fabulous. Reminds me a lot of the Roberto's places in San Diego county where I grew up.
My wife and I are on vacation and thus are not familiar with the restaurants in this area. On our way back to our hotel from the beach, we figured we'd stop by Alejandro's Mexican Food to pick up some food. They only accept cash, which is very inconvenient (especially right now, during the COVID-19 pandemic). My wife and I do not usually carry cash, like most people, nowadays, we usually only carry our cards. Fortunately, both my wife and I grabbed whatever cash we could find at home before heading out for our vacation, and we had $16 cash, which was barely enough to pay for our food. Had we not had that cash (we usually wouldn't) we would have had to leave without our food. The food is okay; the cheese in our burritos was not melted. We had to stick our burritos in the microwave to get the cheese to melt, not something anybody should need to do. Aside from that mishap, our food was made according to our order. The service at the drive-thru was great, probably the best part of our experience.
My first time at Alejandro’s bc husband raves about it when we visit Costa Mesa (though I’ve never been there myself). I ordered the chicken torta and the three rolled tacos with guac. Got home with the bag and we got three rolled tacos WITHOUT guacamole and a carnitas torta. Bland and dry-ish torta and not a fan of carnitas as a meat, so I was disappointed with my meal. Carne asada fries which we got for our family was good though. *We ordered two sets of rolled tacos with guac and one without. We got two without.
Breakfast burrito was so dry with the french fries in it,didnt like it what a waste of money and the jamaica was bad taste like cool aid
California burritos was so dry. No moisture to the meat. Flavorless. I ordered chips and guacamole and they put it in a container with cheese which was a good detail but over all good quality was not that great. Personally wouldn’t eat here again.
The only reason for the two stars is because the employees are great but food was terrible. We ordered a carnitas taco, two carne asada tacos, and a carne asada burrito. The serving size was awesome but not at appetizing. Meat had no flavor and I couldn’t even eat more than a bite of the burrito and had to spit it out.
This place is good but not great or the best. When I bought food no one specifically told me that two or my tacos would be fried and no where in the menu says that either. That was not a big deal even tho they are very greasy. So when I went there with my friend we had to take out money of an ATM then again not that bad. When we order not so much to choose from and the staff did not seem friendly enough or with any desire to explain our options better. After ordering our food we where waiting around and saw three big rats running by the bushes literally. It honestly grossed me out and my friend had an untrusty look on his face. The food was average I really hope that they keep it clean inside the restaurant and that the rats we saw where just passing by .
Im 99% sure this place gave me mild food poisoning. Management needs to review cleanliness standards.
These guys don't know how to process an order, both times packed the wrong items in the order. Food as dry and tasteless, you have to soak the food in hot sauce to get any flavor. Overall very blah food with very poor expereience.
