If fine dining brunch was a thing, then Destroyer would be its pinnacle. Interesting touches of Mediterranean and Asian inspiration, flavour combinations that surprise and make sense at the same time, and excellent presentation. Deserving of a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Unfortunately the lukewarm service and outdoor-only, hard seating, take some pleasure away from the experience.

Visited many times and explored 80% of the menu, everything was delicious. There is a great attention to detail in the food. The pastry’s are all delicious and fresh. The savory squash tart was probably my favorite of if I had to pick one. Great coffee drinks served and everything is served on custom ceramic dishes. Lots of patio seating (it’s all outside)and a peaceful ambiance inside and out

If you want light fresh, fun, unique flavors that don't feel pretentious and that are also filling This is the place for you. I cannot praise this place enough. It is absolutely fantastic and they sell out quickly so go early but I do like the fact that when I go later in the day sometime after I'd say 12 that it forces me to get items that I normally wouldn't get because the dishes that I would order are sold out. my partner and I have actually come to really enjoy coming later knowing that things are going to be sold out so It's become a bit of a game for us and we love it.

The perfect La experience. Each pastry was bursting with flavors and my senses were overwhelmed by all of the flavors inside my personal favorite was the Matcha croissant because the peppermint cream was to die for Yum Yum Yum Yum.😋🤤🍵🥐☕️

Cafe tucked away among offices and a clay coop serving unique dishes. Herbal teas are blends with names like Desert and Woodlands and are served in beautiful ceramic vessels. We drank our tea with a lovely parsnip cake and were thoroughly satisfied.

Destroyer in Culver City is an absolute gem. The food is creative, thoughtfully prepared, and full of bold, unique flavors that really stand out. Every dish feels intentional and beautifully presented. It’s no surprise the restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star, which truly reflects the quality and consistency of the experience. The atmosphere is modern yet relaxed, and the service is friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing. A perfect spot for a memorable brunch or a casual meal that still feels special. Highly recommend.

Food is very creative, and the portion size is really good. The beef tartare is very good, and the rice porridge is nice too. Finding seats is not easy on a Saturday afternoon since you need to get it yourself.

If you are looking for something outstanding - congrats! You just found it! Intriguing, different, and yet, great tasting. You have to try it yourself, to understand the difference. Extra like for the location.

The pumpkin spice latte here is the best I’ve had! It tastes like real pumpkin with perfect balance of spices and not overly sweet

Super unique dishes with unexpected ingredient/flavor combinations. Everything was high quality and well presented. The caramelized jasmine milk tea and molasses pecan cookie were so good.

One of the more unique spots to grab some lunch! I've never been disappointed by the food, it's always amazing and so inventive. My favorite I've ever had is probably the schnitzel but this time around I had the BLT (pictured) and was not disappointed, it was super cool the way it was plated. The only thing I was a bit disappointed by this time around - I've seen people refer to it as a brunch spot and since they have a long list of coffee and a waffle item on the menu, it's definitely brunch - however they don't really offer any more traditional savory breakfast items/egg dishes. You can add an egg to anything they have but there's nothing on the menu with it already included. It took me a long time to decide because I was hoping to get something with eggs. I would love to see them put a hash on the menu, they certainly could do something cool!

A vast amount of flavors woven together in an intricate yet subtle way. Incredibly delicious and light. Makes me want to try everything on the menu and love that it’s seasonal.

Absolutely loved our visit to Destroyer! The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and incredibly fresh—every dish felt like a work of art. The minimalist vibe, friendly service, and pet-friendly patio made it even better. Definitely a 5-star experience, and I can’t wait to come back! @journeythruflavors

The matcha croissant is a must try! Visiting LA for a few days and saw a lot of recommendation for this place. Ordered some bakery items and brunch items. The matcha croissant is my absolute favorite, croissant is super crisp and filled with matcha paste in the middle. Also loved the beef tartare, first time finishing the chip before the meat in a tartare dish haha. Also liked the porridge (not pictured) - super flavorful and creative. Didn’t like the French toast that much - a little too sweet. Seating can be limited especially when there’s good weather. On the pricier side ~$60pp post tax and tip

You follow overheardLA on IG? You'll definitely hear the craziest things while you're sitting outside eating your food. From their Hayward Kiwi to their congee, their food will not disappoint you. Everything tastes great for the price and each items' presentation is fantastic.

I loved Destroyer! It’s a cute day time spot with all outdoor seating near some gorgeous buildings in the design district. The staff were super considerate of my tree nut allergy and referenced a menu with an ingredient list for every item. We ordered the sweet potato waffle, schnitzel, rice porridge, and some drinks. Everything was great! Only thing I thought could be better was the yuzu spritz. Overall, I’d recommend Destroyer!

Definitely one of the most inventive brunches I've ever had. This felt honestly like it could have been a 1 star Michelin experience, so for that I do not have an issue with the price ($$-$$$). The presentation, taste, and ingredients were ON POINT. We had the avocado toast confit, beef tartare, cauliflower leek soup, and espresso shortcake, all of which were amazing. Cauliflower leek soup was definitely the surprise winner of the meal. I rarely order soups at restaurants, so maybe that was part of it, but it truly was I think the most delicious soup I've ever had, with interesting garnishes like smoked trout roe and a dollop of embered cream. The espresso shortcake was surprisingly good too (I am not typically a big fan of dry crumbly biscuits like shortbread), like a tiramisu cookie!

The best elevated brunch! Really surprised that more Michelin-rated chefs aren't interested in tackling this meal time. The food here was amazing, but it took way too long for us to place our order given how short the line was. Not sure if it was an "off" day or not. Still, the mark of a great place, to me, is: "Would I ever go back here?". And the answer to that is an emphatic "yes"! Just be sure to give yourself plenty of time to drive around and find parking or take a Waymo or something.

The place is very expensive, it’s somewhere you don’t go to often. The place was good and the food as you can see from my rating that it is high. We had the French toast, chicken breast with had chill oil and salad and drinks. With all that being $70+ not including tips. The French toast tho was a bit dry but the sauce covered up for how dry it was, it tasted like toasted bread rather than French toast. We had One Japanese ice coffee was mid wasn’t the best and one match which was mid as well not that great tbh. It’s funny it’s a cafe but their drinks are not the best but their food was chef kiss. I guess it’s because the owner is a chef and he specializes in food delicacy. Over all it was okay. The chairs were wet from the rain so, we had to wipe it ourselves. It was an open concept seating outside and the cafe inside is minimalist which is new and nice . Overall would give my experience a 3.5/5 because of the food. It was so good as you can see from the picture we cleared the plate and we were hungry.

Destroyer is a cool spot with a great vibe. The atmosphere is unique and the space has a very modern feel. The avocado dish was the highlight—the flavors and dressing were spot on. The chicken schnitzel was high quality and had a good crunch, though it could have used more salt. Portions are a bit small; we shared two plates and were satisfied, but we probably could have eaten more. A solid experience overall, especially for the atmosphere.

Taste :4.5/5 Environment: 4.3/5 Service:4.2/5 If brunch were an art gallery, Destroyer would be the Louvre. Nestled in the funky Hayden Tract district, this place is where your taste buds go to get cultured. Minimalist vibes? Check. Michelin guide cred? Double check. Food that looks like it belongs in a modern art museum? Oh, absolutely. The Sweet Corn Porridge is like a culinary plot twist—Asian meets Western in a flavor fusion that’s as unique as it is delicious. You won’t find anything like it anywhere else, and honestly, I’m not sure the world is ready for this level of brilliance. Weiser Farms Cube Melon. It’s like dessert decided to get all dressed up and classy. The presentation is so on point you’ll hesitate to eat it, but trust me, it’s the perfect sweet finale.

We had high hopes for the spot, however it felt sorely short of expectations. The pastries were dried out and not special at all. We also got a cardamom coffee that tasted very standard and overly sweet. The prices were also quite steep with a chocolate croissant costing $10. We’re more than familiar with the typical price range of nice pastries and coffee in LA. However, the quality did not justify the price here. Would skip.

We go out for coffee a few times a week and were excited to try this place out. Sadly, they don't offer cold brew. The plain drip coffee was good, pricey at almost $6. The chicken schnitzel was good and the presentation was nice. What stood out was the person who brought our food, whom we tipped, could not be bothered to bring us a fork to eat it with. I asked if she could please bring a silverware and she mumbled something about the silverware being inside. Really? That was a little weird. I don't think we will return.

I was just in around 10:20am today. I ordered the iced Cloud Forest cardamom and my husband Noel got a flat white. We ordered them for here but they Gave them to us in to go cups because I guess they ran out of cups. The flat white had no latte art and no foam and tasted very acidic. My iced latte was first made hot even though I specifically asked the guy which would be better iced. The drink was re made extremely quick with no care and it was terrible. My friend ordered the same drink as me and said hers was fine and I tried it and my drink tastes like a gross version of hers. For 17 $ for two drinks I would expect them to taste good and look somewhat presentable. Neither of us could finish our coffees. Food looks good but after this experience I probably would not go back.
