Lonzo's Culver City Reviews
My oh my! I am so so glad I stumbled across this place and the reviews were accurate! On point beyond - I had the Lamb Pesto Fettuccini and it was out of this world! ☺️ The pasta is so flavorful! You don’t want to miss out. I’m talking even leftovers the next day are finger licking. I’m not even mad I just spilled some pesto on my Levi’s. 😌🙂↕️
Fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food is great! They truly made my birthday memorable and a highlight. The owner even stopped a group from leaving to ensure they enjoyed some cake and a round of birthday Cheers. Mind you this was a busy Saturday night where three other folks were also celebrating. Overall, I understand the hype and this is very truly special restaurant where you can feel the love.
I don’t even know where to start. Lonzo’s Puritan Food is on a completely different level. The ceviche is literally to die for, like “I’d drive across town in traffic just for this” good. Fresh, perfectly balanced, and honestly one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time. Everything about this place just hits. The food, the flavor, the vibe, all of it. I can confidently say I’m never going to any other puritan restaurant again. They’ve got my business for life. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re seriously missing out. Do yourself a favor and go.
Once in awhile you go to a place that you're just going because somebody found it and it seems like a fine place to go and then it blows your mind. This is one of the most amazing restaurants I've ever eaten at in my life. And I'm only willing to put this in this review because if you've gotten this far and you're reading this far, you might as well have the edge a little bit because the place will probably blow up. So just go and take it from me. It's one of the most remarkable restaurants ever invented.
OMG SO GOOD. I came here for my birthday and I had an amazing time. If I could give 6 stars I WOULD. Tamara y Riena! Gracias por todo!!!!!! AMAZING service, AMAZING food. I couldn’t have had a better birthday!!! Tamara was the bestest kindest server ever, helped us out with my birthday song and made sure our food came out fast and good! Props to the Chef!!! The meat of the lomo Saltado was so soft! And they gave us a good bread and sauce when we sat down . I was welcomed with the whole staff to sing happy birthday to me. I love them. 😍 THANK YOU LONZOS . I HAD A REAL PERUVIAN DINNER FOR MY PERUVIAN BIRTHDAY 🎉 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The service was great, they were so welcoming and attentive. We went there to celebrate a birthday and the food was absolutely incredible!! When I say incredible I mean we're we're all dancing and wiggling with happiness at every bite. We had the Leche de Tigre, lomo saltado, beans, plantains, and the chocoflan. 11/10 would recommend. My family and I will be back.
My family dined in on a Saturday and we had a great experience. Patty was our server and she was very nice and friendly. We ordered the arroz con mariscos, beef heart, yucca, chicken saltados, and ceviche mixto. Everything was tasty. My favorite dish was the beef heart. It was tender, flavorful, and definitely a must try. We will come back again. Highly recommend Lonzo’s if you love Peruvian food.
The food at Lonzo’s is absolutely delicious — truly authentic Peruvian flavors! Every dish tasted fresh and full of vibrant spices, just like what you’d find in Lima. The service was just as impressive — warm, attentive, and welcoming. A special shoutout to Tamara, who was such a kind and friendly waitress and made the experience even better. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving genuine Peruvian cuisine!
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — every dish is full of surprises and a true taste of Peruvian cuisine. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a night out with friends or family. A special shout-out to our server Tamara — her service was outstanding! She was attentive, friendly, and professional, always making sure we had everything we needed. Her energy and hospitality really elevated our dining experience. Highly recommend this place — we’ll definitely be coming back!
My family and I tried this place for the first time. The reviews did not lie. This might be my favorite Peruvian restaurant in the LA/OC area now. We started with anticuchos as an appetizer to share. The beef heart was so flavorful and juicy. It was perfect with the aji verde. The ceviche mixto and leche de tigre were on point. Flavorful and was even better with the rocoto sauce to reach your desired spiciness. The lomo saltado de filet mignon was perfect. So flavorful, juicy, and tender! Might be the best I’ve had in SoCal. The best in my opinion was the tallarin saltado filet mignon. The flavor was amazing. Tasted like authentic Peruvian chifa. So much flavor and juicy. We finished our meal with coffee, which was nice and strong, and picarones. The picarones were served with homemade syrup and were delicious! I live in OC but will definitely be coming back here whenever I’m in the area. Great food and great service.
Absolutely loved this restaurant! You start with fresh bread and a vibrant, house-made pesto that set the tone for a fantastic meal. Highly recommend trying the Peruvian Pesto pasta — it's rich, herbaceous, and perfectly creamy, with just the right touch of garlic. The Branzino was equally impressive: beautifully cooked with a crispy skin and tender, flaky interior, paired with bright, zesty accompaniments that elevated the whole dish. Great atmosphere, attentive service, and dishes that really stand out. Will definitely be back!
Back at Lonzos and it just keeps getting better 😍 Now with more space, same cozy vibes, and those bold Peruvian flavors we love 🇵🇪✨ We came for their Happy Hour and it totally hit the spot: 🔥• Tiger’s Milk Ceviche 🐟🍋; fresh, zesty, unforgettable 🤤• Fish Tacos 🌮🐠; crunchy, flavorful, Peruvian twist 😮💨• Arroz Chaufa with Mariscos 🍚🦐; smoky, umami-packed, comfort food And let’s not forget the freshly bread with that house sauce? Addictive from the first bite 🔥🥖 Everything was on point: flavor, service, and vibes. Perfect for any time of day, whether you’re with friends, family, or just treating yourself. Save this spot, you’re gonna want to come hungry! 🤤
My boyfriend and I dined at Lonzo’s last Friday evening. We came in for dinner and were happily surprised to find a guitarist playing! The food here is HIGH quality- our lomo saltado had amazing beef and the leche de Tigre offered extremely fresh seafood. Every dish we tried was a 10/10 and I will be returning soon!
Check out my food videos on Instagram: @el_terrible_eric I’ve eaten at Lonzo’s three times—twice with friends and once on a date with my wife. It’s a small, unassuming spot with murals of Peruvian life inside and a few outdoor tables. The food? Solid. I started with seafood—my first-ever Peruvian ceviche was here. The ceviche mixto is my favorite, and I’ve had the leche de tigre every time. The Branzino is flavorful, though I prefer crispier skin. The octopus is great, though the pink sauce wasn’t my thing—curious how it’d be with chimichurri or ají. Last visit, I switched it up and tried the tallarines verdes with filet mignon. Fire. Other must-orders: crispy lobster tacos, arroz chaufa with chicken, and, of course, the ceviches. Friendly service every time, which is why I brought my wife. Happy hour deals are on point. Metered parking, but I’ve never had trouble. Just go—start with the ceviches and take some bread to go. Lonzo’s is officially one of my Culver City go-tos.
You’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t stop by this hidden gem in Palms/Culver City. Lonzo's serves some of the best Peruvian food I’ve ever had, going beyond the usual lomo saltado with a wide variety of authentic dishes. The flavors are bold, the portions generous, and they don’t skimp on the protein. My personal favorites were the lobster nachos and Peruvian pesto pasta—both absolutely delicious. Service was fantastic, prices were fair (expect to pay around $45 per person), and the plating was beautiful. As much as I want to gatekeep this spot, it’s easily at the top of my list. Perfect for a casual dinner with friends or even a laid-back date. Highly recommend! Street parking can be tricky, but just use the Best Buy lot across the street.
We were really looking forward to this visit, but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. This was the first time in a long while that we’ve been to a Peruvian restaurant where the food lacked what is essential in Peruvian cuisine — flavour. Out of the four dishes we ordered, only one was decent. The others were bland and underwhelming. On top of that, one dish was excessively salted to the point that it was inedible and we had to send it back — something we rarely ever do. The service was mostly good — friendly and helpful — but that didn’t make up for the overall quality of the food. Sadly, this isn’t a place we would return to. There are definitely much better Peruvian restaurants offering far more authentic and flavourful experiences.
