La Novella Cuneo Reviews
With a simple atmosphere, this is the restaurant you'd expect. The dishes are carefully prepared and delicious, and the chef demonstrates great skill. It's a family-run restaurant. The seafood is excellent, even though Cuneo isn't near the sea, but the Salento-born chef knows a thing or two about the quality of the catch.
Beautiful place and amazing food . Me and my family loved it .
An amazing experience we came from uk and the food its 10/10 . The chef was absolutely amazing and obviously the staff gave us such a warm welcome. We cant wait to come again 🙂
An excellent dinner, al fresco in the garden: the crudités platter was a triumph: tuna sashimi, swordfish, Mazara red shrimp, and delicious prawns. Boulots à la française with a delicate, freshly made aioli sauce. All washed down with a Jean Marc Brocard Chablis Premier Cru that left its mark! Followed by a hearty linguine with pistachio pesto and shrimp. Best regards, final farewell... with a Calvados Pays d'Aude. We'll be back very soon! Congratulations.
A restaurant in a magical area of Cuneo: Viale degli Angeli The owners are extremely kind and attentive to their customers. The quality of the dishes is excellent, and the menu offers unique dishes, from meat to fish, with unique and evocative presentations (try it and believe it!). It's definitely a lovely place to spend a Sunday lunch overlooking the Bisalta River! And why not, it's also an excellent location for events or important celebrations!
After almost a year, we returned, and this time too, the food was very, very good. Mrs. Gabriella is always very kind and helpful, and they make you feel right at home. Among other very important things, they are very dog-friendly; we went both times with our 36-pound furry friend. In short, the food was excellent and the staff was wonderful. We highly recommend coming and trying it if you're in the area.
I've had lunch and dinner here several times, and I must say I always enjoy returning. The menu is varied, and everything I've tried has always been satisfying. The ambiance is unique, quite spacious despite being divided into several sections. The service is friendly and informal.
It's always a pleasure to return to this delightful little restaurant in Cuneo, where you'll always find warmth, professionalism, and kindness! The quality of the food is excellent, with generous portions, a wide selection of wines, and excellent desserts. I recommend trying it for anyone who's never been there; I always love going back! And today was my grandmother's birthday, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. 🙏🙏🙏🙏😃😃😃
A restaurant with a very unique atmosphere, each space very different from the other but cleverly combined. Excellent service and remarkable dishes. Excellent seafood and a good selection of wines. A comprehensive menu and well-executed homemade desserts. The raw materials used are first-rate.
Super
Food was great. Host is super gentle. Genuine but very cute "bocciofila" restaurant. Pretty cheap for a very good quality food, place and service.

I went there for a company lunch on a Saturday for lunch, nothing to complain about, dishes prepared with quality raw materials. Prepared on the spot, in their simplicity they were very tasty. Only a small constructive criticism I feel like saying, the gentleman who repaired a rejected car in front of the restaurant entrance does not give a good image to the restaurant...and then...I would speed up the service a bit...No one was in a hurry but two hours is a bit too much for a lunch... In any case I would go back, a great experience!!
We were a guest at this restaurant for Christmas lunch. 🎄 From the outside, the restaurant has a simple and clean style, while inside it's furnished in a traditional Piedmontese style. Being a former bowling alley, it gives the impression that the premises have largely remained as they once were. It's not particularly modern or refined, but you might like it, especially since I believe the owners' intention is to maintain tradition intact, obviously not only in the restaurant but also in the cuisine, which is the most important aspect. 🍝As in the photos, the dishes are beautifully presented: despite the simplicity typical of traditional cuisine, which in some cases has even been revisited, they have tried to give the dish a touch of character, creating a more distinctive and unusual plating. This is true for the appetizers, because the first and second courses were served directly at the table from trays. 🏅A special mention: it was often possible to have seconds for many courses. This is common in trattorias outside Cuneo, but rarer to find in the city. I don't know if it was because it was a very long lunch and during the holidays, but it was excellent nonetheless. 🍏The quality of the ingredients is evident and tastes good, and I think it's a key point for the owners to offer quality local products. Despite this, however, most of the recipes weren't very exciting because they didn't shine with great flavor. I'm not referring to high or low amounts of salt, nor to seeking that flavor that has to strike you or else it can't be called good. I'm referring to the fact that many dishes were neutral in flavor, despite the care and mix of ingredients. One thing remains: personal taste. And also related to the fact that it was Christmas lunch, a time when the kitchen is under a lot of stress. This is also why service times were significantly extended, especially given the large number of courses, as is the case with any Christmas lunch. So I think it might be worth trying to organize a lunch or dinner during a quieter time of year.
Disorganized Christmas lunch, super agitated waiters, poor menu dishes, not to be seen single dish 3 appetizers fish and meat together and micro portions, who had chosen the meat was very hard like the potatoes that were only boiled and hard, different dishes of all shapes and not very clean place, dirty bathroom without paper and soap, you could not close it from the inside. For what we ate high price especially for the addition of drinks since we had mostly water. I respond to the owner's response: actually I am the only one who wrote about our table, I don't know who the other reviews are
Terrible. Christmas lunch, zero organization. I feel sorry for the "waiters," probably called the same day. Dirty place, rickety tables and chairs. The bathrooms had no paper (it wasn't over, there wasn't any). Wrong dishes several times, "sleepy" service, not even knowing the course itself. Christmas menu that looks like a gourmet lunch at first glance, but in practice turns out to be a poor one. Given its size, I would have put the sea bass among the appetizers... A word of advice: simple dishes are worth a thousand words. Never again.
A total disappointment. Dirty windows. Room full of rubbish Unsuitable waiters Except for one kid who, poor thing, has nothing to do with it. We arrived at 12:30 and we only ate appetizers and a first course and it's 2:46 pm. A real disgrace. Rude, no patience, disorganized. It's December 25th, Christmas lunch is disgusting. Doing it at home would have been quicker. If we had known it was like this, we would never have set foot there. Shameful. Then it should be a place for VIPs😂😂😂 better in a favela in South America ... not advisable
