Pho Viet Mai Cypress Reviews
Pho was simply fantastic. Authentic flavors. So well-seasoned and well-balanced with lots and lots of protein. Loved the meatballs as well. So satisfying overall. Service was above and beyond. The owner was so helpful and lovely. Haven't been there for almost 5 years and she still remembered my face (or so she said), but still appreciated the gesture. The decor was beautiful as well with the big murals on the 2 side walls. Highly recommended and definitely coming back for more!
Amazing service and amazing food! Loved my experience here! The sweet tea was perfect the best sweet tea I’ve ever had! The eggrolls are a HUGE must have!!! The best customer service I’ve had in a long time as well.
My first ever Pho. Simply amazing. Nothing to compare it to. My Vietnamese friends brought me here especially for it. We all ordered the ‘special’ pho. Delicious soul food. Seriously. Great range of meats and spices in this large soup. Fresh mint. Yummy noodles. Can’t believe how packed this place was for kind of being in the middle of nowhere. Hope to be back soon!
One of the best pho places I’ve been! Once you arrive they make sure that you don’t have any allergies to food which I’ve never had that asked in any place that I’ve been too which I thought it was cool that they verify before had. Their grilled pork spring rolls are soooo awesome! Super flavorful. I was amazed. The pho and sandwiches phenomenal. 10/10
Honestly the best tofu spring rolls I’ve ever had. A great family owned business that I try to go eat at once a week. I don’t know what there recipe is for the tofu, but it is the best I’ve ever had.
This is my favorite local Vietnamese restaurant! The staff are so helpful and friendly and the food is always delicious and the wait time is not long. I recommend the spring rolls, the peanut sauce is delicious! I’ve tried their pho and other noodles dishes and enjoyed everything. There is good seating space for small and larger groups I’ve ate alone and with friends and enjoyed both experiences.
Ordered the stir fried flat noodles no beef.. they added calamari and it was amazing ...large portions biggest egg rolls biggest spring rolls
Customer service 10/10 Food fresh and so yummy Prices are very reasonable 😊. Highly recommend
Food was the bomb, great fried rice and the banh mi good stuff!! Wife loves the pho 🍜
Super Delicious PHO! Meaty broth, plenty of noodles/meat, great bahn mi, eggrolls, and frozen drinks. Pho's price went up some, but we'll worth it! Love the place, they are always attentive, and quick service.
The food was so fresh and the staff were friendly and so polite! The restaurant is little and as soon as you walk in you feel welcome. I'll definitely be back it's so wonder-pho 😁
Great food and amazing customer service. If you are looking for great Pho and Spring rolls with a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place. I love the prices and everything about this place. My mom and brother always eat at this location and I decided to tag along today and I love it. I'll definitely be back 🥰
A hidden gem for Vietnamese food in Cypress/ Katy. A group of 5 first responders showed up 20 minutes before closing and the staff welcomed us with open arms. Food was hot and portions were large. Try the shrimp spring rolls, ban mi, and Vietnamese iced coffee.

We have been here 3 times already to celebrate some family birthdays and the service and food is always very good. Nice place!!
The food was good. Pork spring rolls came out immediately. Egg rolls followed a minute later and then the rest of our food. Which is why one picture has it all. The pho was good, the Bahn mi was fresh and the pork noodle bowl was perfect for the progeny.

This would be a 3.5 for me. I was actually looking forward to eating Duc Chuong in the same plaza but since they had closed early (8pm) for some odd reason, I settled for this it was conveniently right there! It was about 8pm on a Monday night when we hesitantly walked in to thai establishments. I was in dire need of soup. The lady that took care of us was really nice, communicated well. We ordered eggrolls for apps, pho tai bo vien for me and a rice plate for the mister. I had asked for the eye-round beef to be on the side but it came overcooked it in my bowl of pho anyway. When food came out, everything was piping hot so that was a plus! However, they only provided me with bean sprouts, and no other herbs or veggies. I had to ask for it. Shouldn’t it be automatic? The pho broth was very dark in murky in color. Took a sip and wow.. it was super sweet! Usually I prefer my pho broth to be more on the savory side, maybe a little more salt. That was just odd. Didn’t taste bad but just not normal. The rice plate looks kind of bare. A few pieces of meat. The mister said it was really fatty. Like super fatty riblets. He also thought that was overly sweet. So at this point, we got our main dishes but not the eggrolls. Eggrolls came out maybe 15 mins later. Piping hot! I guess it was super fresh so I didn’t mind the wait. It was tasty. Lots of fillings and fresh herbs. However, the fish sauce was overly sweet yet again. I think this restaurant switched out the salt and replaced it with sugar?! lol who knows but yeah. Eggrolls were the best part. Very fresh and tasty. Not a bad place but it’s not suitable for my taste bud. I’m not a sweet person and almost every dish we had, had a really sweet component.
ONLY FIRSTS IN 2024 led me to Pho Viet Mai after a quick Google search for a nearby Banh Mi. With numerous options available, the deciding factor turned out to be the reasonable prices at PVM. The restaurant, nestled in a Vietnamese-themed strip mall, greeted me with an empty dining room but ambiance was very quaint. The friendly grandma or auntie attending us added a nice touch. Opting for grilled beef and grilled pork Banh mi, I found both flavors to be enjoyable and distinctly banh mi-esque. However, the sandwiches could have been improved with a more generous portion of protein, as PVM leaned towards lighter meat and heavier veggies, making it challenging to distinguish between the two proteins. While it was a satisfactory visit, the distance makes it unlikely for me to make a special trip just for PVM.
The lady was really nice, now food wise it was good flavor don’t get me wrong just a little shy on the beef portions

Price does not meet quality expectations. Food came out in a meet after ordering. Tasted like microwave dinner. He was upset that the meat was undercooked. Pre-cut frozen vegetables. A little too demanding with add ons - by husband.
The dyke was so rude & snappy Not as helpful as she could’ve been . There quick to take your money but give poor service. & if you go make sure you know what you’re buying .. they aren’t helpful at all. This is the kind of thanks I get trying to support other cultures and businesses
