Tomiko Japanese Restaurant Cypress Reviews
This is the best sushi and hibachi place you will find in Cypress! Great atmosphere, impressive service and impeccable food! 🍱 🍣 Don’t miss out on this place!
Hey! Every time I go here, the food is very good. The chicken fried rice specifically is hands down one of the best fried rice meals that I’ve ever had. Nice hospitality as well. 10/10 i recommend 😇
Best kept secret in Fairfield area. Love how they treat you as a regular! My local go to sushi place.
I was craving some fried rice and came across this place. I saw their prices online and I was a little hesitant but I'm glad I ordered. I got the shrimp fried rice -$12.95 and the chef fried rice $18.95. As seen on the pictures only thing missing was the tempura shrimp that came with the chef fried rice I ate that before the pics. It was tasty and you get a great portion. This was more than enough food for 3 people I have plenty of left overs. I will be back
We ordered some ceviche for an appetizer and I got some salmon sushimi. Very fresh. No regrets. We also got 2 sushi rolls. Forgot to take pictures of those. Can't go wrong with the dragon roll. I tried the new Orleans roll. ( I think that was the name). It was supposed to be spicy crawfish. Meh... wasn't my favorite. But I did try something new.
I have been a regular customer for about 3 years now. Tomiko Japanese Restaurant has consistent quality fresh food with good portions. The wait staff is competent, friendly and attentive. The sushi chefs are very skilled. We always like to visit this restaurant when we go shopping at the outlets. They have always treated us very nice.
Sushi and sashimi can be an art. Fantastic on the taste buds and eyes. Tomiko is a solid contender. It's not the best sushi I have ever had, but if I am in the area and need a fix, this would be a choice to consider. Service is friendly and timely and it's casual enough to bring the whole family. A solid choice for a family outing.
Certainly a good safe bet. The offerings are larger and styled as a ‘Japanese’ restaurant, although it’s not bad it’s certainly not mind blowing. Menu’s are all electric, and will take a moment to cover, food is fairly well presented and servings are a touch more generous than most. Prices are ok & service was good. In summary, not the utter apex, however it’s well rounded enough to be good for most and the service was very friendly and quick.
Stopped by Tomiko’s for lunch when we went to the Premium outlets last weekend. It was a nice place with friendly staff and fresh food. We ordered the edamame, Shrimp roll and shrimp fried rice. The entree portions were of good size and tasted delicious. This is a good place to go by for meals if you are shopping at the outlets and don’t like eating at their food court!!
I feel like the hostess was insinuating that I was a thief when I came to pick up the food. I provided my name and what the order was, but I still had to show confirmation. According to the hostess people try to steal the food all the time, but this is my fourth time coming here and I’ve never had the show confirmation before. If this is such a concern, then perhaps the food should not be placed on the front counter and instead in a more secure location? Just a thought… good food though.
As soon as I sat down, i was asked for my preference in drink. As always, i get the water. The water came pretty quickly, within a minute. The water tasted fresh and was ice cold. In that time, i was able to find which appetizer and first roll i wanted to try. The Tuna Tower was pretty good and had really good flavors but didn't taste that fresh. I would also say the serving size for the Tuna Tower was for one person, maybe 2. I'd expect an appetizer to have a little more than it did. As soon as I finished the Tuna Tower, the Spicy Tuna roll I ordered came. This roll wasn't much to talk about and had little flavor. It was spicy but not by much. If I were to give it a scale between 1 and 10 then the spice level would have been a 2. I then ordered the Spider Roll, and again it came out quickly. This roll also was very mediocre with not much flavor. Overall, I'd give this an average rating of 7 pairs of chopsticks out of 10.
Food is okay and has decent happy hour meals but service is awful. The waiter only came up to us to rush us out, even though it was not busy and we were there less than a hour. He took our food, without asking if we were done, and I still had half of my udon left and was using my wasabi. When we told them they didn’t care that we were charged full price for a meal they didn’t let us finish. If you want decent service, don’t go here
