Cheba Hut Toasted Subs Dallas Reviews
February 2026 We usually don’t visit this area since out of our way. We stopped by here after attending a competition in Fair Park. Even though navigating the street and parking is a challenge, we found our spot after a few turn. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. Since this is in Deep Ellum, we were a little intimidated by the neighborhood vibe. The over the counter stuff was courteous and professional. The manager stopped by to check on us and another staff came by to clear our table. Our sandwich was nicely toasted. Keep on it. Highly recommended and you are welcome here.
It was soooo good, I made it a point to go again (different location) just as good. I have made it a personal goal to try a different sandwich each visit. Definitely worth a try overall experience was amazing.
Best sandwiches 🥪 in all of the DFW so much flavor, you can not beat this place . The white widow is my go to, they even have the best Kool-aid around reminds you of the simple days rofl 🤣 but really grape and blue mixed hits the spot
Really laid back, and chill environment. The food is always fresh and delicious. Made exactly how you want it every time. We go for the food, and stay for the drinks and people. This has become a nice “date night” spot for us. Keep up the great work! 🫶🏼
Subs are made fresh and delicious. They have a wide variety of subs. Their vegetarian subs are also very good
Dope spot, with dope food and a full bar. They have some of their own signature drinks worth checking out. There's a window counter top you can eat at that let's you see what's going on in busy Deep Ellum. Sandwiches are amazing and a good price for the sizes. Highly recommend seeing Nona, Ron, or Nick at the bar for good food, drinks, and vibes.
tried this for the first time & it was great! Rodney was really nice & helpful, as well as other staff. Definitely would come again to try some different subs 🔥
My husband and I stopped in here during the week. We saw the sign and was curious. We will definitely be back! The subs were extremely fresh and served in a timely manner. The customer service was also great! I hadn't had a sub in a long time and was happy my first sub in years was this tasty!
Went here while on vacation. Food was good and very fresh. I wish this restaurant was available in my home town.
Never been here! I don't know why either. But I'm glad I did. Staff is friendly and helpful on deciding what to order. Better than a subway and has a full bar! Soft drinks usual but they got kool aid! And a few good flavors of tea! A must try you won't regret it!! Come with the munchies!
I was craving a sub sandwich, and it was late. I found Cheba Hut under the ‘open now’ filter on Google, and they had excellent reviews, so I decided to try them out. BEST DECISION EVERRR!!!! This was one of the best subs I have ever had, and I cannot wait to go back! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, being that it was my first time. They have plenty of options for various taste buds, pun intended. It was a 10 star experience. The bread was so incredibly delicious. I can’t wait to bring my family here. Definitely worth it!
I had a great experience at Cheba hut. The sandwich was well-made with quality ingredients, the bread was very good. The sauce was a little bit too light for my preferences. I recommend getting a few of their sauces and trying them on for size. Overall, this is a cool location with good customer service and a very solid sandwich. I recommend it.
I usually dont like di bad reviews but this place deserves it. 1. The employees were extremely rude and sitting around on thier phones. They acted annoyed that I walked in towards close. This is always a turn off for me, I get dine working late and usually have to scramble to get food before closures....sorry! 2. The food was subpar, the bread was stale and the presentation of the sandwich was sloppy. 3. The floor was dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned once during the day. 4. The interior had a moldy smell coming from the vents. 5. The price to quality ratio is offensive. 6. They got my order wrong, as I felt they were not listening to me as I ordered and were more worried about trying to close and interacting on their phone. Usually ill give places a 2nd chance but not this time. I would suggest skipping this place if you want a halfway decent meal.
Came into the restaurant and needed to use the restroom. I had a friend there waiting. So I was going to run in the bathroom and come and order which my friend already did so technically I was a paid customer with someone already present. I asked to use the restroom not knowing that the policy had changed because I live in Austin. I asked one of the employee’s “a gentleman” and he just looked at me without saying anything. I said again excuse me can I have the bathroom password… a female then responded stating that I needed to be a paying customer. I told her that I was… knowing that my friend was at the bar she then stated that the code is on the receipt. I told her I would get it from my friend, and she stated that I would not. She then told the bar tender not to allow me to order anything, and literally is standing at the bar just watching. Didn’t advise me to leave just would not allow me to be served. She then continued to attempt to badger me into what she thought would be an apology. I am not apologizing for using the restroom while black. Honestly these people here have always had a feeling of anti blackness unless you show some form of conforming to their mindsets or control. I have been to other locations and the business model is the same. If you are not edgy or metro with a hippy vibe don’t go here because we are not invited.
