I had the best time w| Kia at the bar! She made the drinks just how I liked them. There was great conversation and she also gave me the best recommendations and now I have a favorite new drink. When you go ask for Kia, she was telling me she serve sometimes too!

I had such a great experience at Joe Leo Fine Tex Mex! The food was delicious, but what really made the night was my server and bartender, Keya. She was so friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out perfectly. Her drink recommendations were spot-on, and she made the whole dining experience feel fun and welcoming. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests. I’ll definitely be coming back and asking for Keya again!

Kia was absolutely amazing!!! She was very attentive and kind! Constantly checking in even after the bar area had gotten busy! She was cheerful and full of smiled and great energy all night long! Also 10/10 bar tender! My 3 rosaritas were DELICIOUS!!

One of our favorite spots. You know the food is good when you can get homemade tortillas with your meal. We arrived later than the brunch hours posted and our server still allowed us to order. Food was really good. Perfect Sunday.

I came in with a few friends tonight and Kia was my server. We tried the Numero Dos , Beef Fajita Tacos and Guacamole. Everything was AMAZING and fresh. Kia recommended the Spicy Mango Margarita and Passionfruit Margarita and both were really great recommendations. Her service was 10/10, we will be back for sure.

This restaurant serves delicious tacos, and queso. great happy hour. I visited Texas and came to grab something to eat. I was lucky enough to have Keya like the Kia car as my bartender. She showed me excellent customer service. Keya did go above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied, no complaints. I will be back!!!

Great chips, queso, guacamole and salsa. We ordered fajitas for dinner and they were delicious. The only negative I could say is they don’t have bell peppers with the fajitas. That definitely did not break the deal. Everything else was absolutely delicious and it looks nicely decorated.

OMG. I can't sing the praises high enough from any mountain. This place is off the charts good and efficient and just beautiful. It was incredibly busy and loud....and somehow the wait staff and management took care of our six top with such precision and speed....it just blew us away. I ordered the fajitas....BEST in Dallas. The margaritas were very good and strong.... like they should be. I sincerely hope you guys buy the other BELERO by pie tap. BRAVO

Been here once or twice before my last visit and had not been disappointed. When we visited earlier this week, my gf and I received Megan as our waitress. She was so friendly and on her game. I then realized the whole patio had been filled, when I overheard her say she was the only server in the WHOLE RESTAURANT. If you’ve ever served like me, you can immediately feel the pressure. I took it upon myself to grab the manager, Cali, and let her know the server needed help. There were about 10 tables needing service, and 2 were big tops. Boy, I’ve never seen a restaurant come together for their teammate so fast. I saw bussers, bar tenders, chefs, all hands on deck bringing out drinks and orders. Please hear me Joe Leo, your team did an amazing job meeting the challenge at hand. Please help me congratulate every one of them for doing an excellent job. Not to mention, the margaritas and food were fantastic! We’ll definitely be back.

I came across Joe Leo on TikTok when looking for a new Tex-Mex restaurant for my Bestie and I to try out for my birthday and decided to give them a shot…and they did NOT disappoint! Very cute and cozy atmosphere outside as well as inside and we were greeted very warmly by the hostess. Brooklyn was our server and she was super sweet and attentive the entire time. Chips, salsa, drinks, and food were all 10/10!! Highly recommend! Love this place!

We absolutely loved Joe Leo’s! We came for a Saturday brunch at 11:30. No wait and plenty of open tables. It was our waitress’s first day, and she did a phenomenal job. I definitely recommend the queso and the jalapeño sausage breakfast tacos. We will be back next time we are in town!

So....I am going back! Lol. I went around happy hour time. 3pm-6pm Everyday- NOT JUST DURING THE WEEK. Their house frozen margs is $2. I got the steak nachos. They were good, but I am going to try a full on entree next time. I got full on the chips and salsa lowkey. Staff was great, the bartender and chef (did'nt catch her name) was amazing and attentive as well.

I came to Joe Leo for my birthday on Sunday and Takeyah was hands down the best bartender I’ve ever had! She had such great energy the entire time and honestly made my day feel special. The drinks were perfect (she knows exactly what she’s doing), and she kept checking in to make sure I was taken care of. What I loved most is that she didn’t just serve drinks—she made the experience fun and personal. It felt like she was celebrating with me, and that really meant a lot. If you ever go to Joe Leo, definitely ask for Takeyah. She’ll make sure you’re taken care of and have a great time.

Kia was amazing. She was so attentive to me and my family. She completed our order with grace and made us feel like we had dinner at home. With that being said we will be back soon.

Food? Delicious. Service? Great. One tiny qualm: the door to the patio stays open so it gets pretty warm in the dining room. Sit further away from the front area or dress lightly if it's hot outside.

It was my first time eating here, I've, always passed this place a lot. My waiter was Calvin who is totally awesome 👌. He was very attentive, and was great w the suggestions and always checked in to see how I was doing. Awesome Job Calvin !! The Food was Awesome, the Taco was Huuuge !!@ ive never seen a Huuge taco such as the one that came w my order..i forgot the plate I ordered but it was around $25. Was worth it....lotto food, that I had to take some home w me. One thing I would like to add....the restaurant really needs sturdy to go boxes... when I placed my food in there after after a while the Togo box started to get soft and flimsy, to where as the food juicyneess was seeping thru the box and onto my car seat....next time I'll ask for a bag as well... Other than this....everything was Awesome will come again and order a different plate.

Best enchiladas in town! The queso was an equal 5 stars and the Mocktails. Crystal was our server, she’s a hustler, got everything right on our order with a 16 top and cracked a joke in the midst. Definitely coming back.

Went here for a quick team happy hour. The house margaritas were super tasty, as was the queso and salsa. I ordered the chicken fajitas, which were great, while my party ordered the chicken quesadilla and the beef picadillo nachos. It's tough to mess up Tex Mex and I enjoyed everything I tried here. This restaurant is great and has one of the best servers I've seen in a while. Jasmine, my waitress, was very kind and courteous. She smiled the whole time and made me feel welcome. She always checked on me and made sure I was good. She also made sure my food was fit for a vegetarian. They usually put meat on top of the enchiladas, but mines came out perfect. Great experience and a vegetarian friendly place. I recommend it to anyone who likes great food and a great atmosphere.

For my first dining experience in Dallas, I couldn’t be happier with Joe Leo! My sister and I sat for a very late lunch which gave us time to really take in how beautiful the space was, since it was less crowded. For how many drinks we enjoyed, the portions of our meal, and quality of our experience our bill was appropriately priced. $$ I can’t wait to return for their dinner service! Joe’s has some of the best chicken tortilla soup in town. I like how it’s creamy texture instead of all broth. It’s always my go to the staff are always friendly. The only concern I had is that they did not have Sprite from the The fountain and we’re selling cans. After we purchased it, we were told that it’s $3.25 a can and there are no free refills. The manager did take it off of our bill. But that’s still an outrageous price.

Knox Henderson vibe without the traffic and crowds and only a couple of blocks away! It’s a Thursday and we sat on the patio. Despite being rather hot outside, it was rather pleasant on the patio because of the fans. The atmosphere was great as well. Had a Mexican Martini to start and it was delicious, also had a Rosarita that was quite nice. Fajitas were delicious and the beans and tortillas were of particular note. Brooklyn really took care of us and all of the waitstaff were very nice and helpful. Did see a few dishes that passed by to other tables that I had to make note of to order next time. Overall this felt like a hidden gem despite being practically in the middle of a busy intersection.

Finally got to try this place out. We weren’t able to make reservations but didn’t have to wait too long. They took us to the bar upstairs the “cactus club” where we sat and ordered drinks and appetizers. Bar tenders were great and fast. Our table was ready before our apps were but the bartender kept track of us and brought them to our table. Food was good. We ordered fajitas and added sausage. Drinks were great. We tried several including Mexican old fashion, pineapple smoke and the spicy mango Marg. Server took good care of us and was very attentive. Overall great first experience.

The vibe here is awesome!!!! Lovedddd the decor throughout the place. The food was okay and margaritas were also good. The service is really good, they really take care of you. There’s a plenty of dining space.

For the location, I was very disappointed by the level of service. Our server Ella only checked on us one time. When she did, she forgot our drink order. Got the tabs wrong. It wasn't busy, just two other tables and several employees. Maybe she was having a bad day. The mocktails were great. So, it was not a complete fail.

Decent service! The food is just your typical Tex Mex low quality food you can find anywhere in Texas. The patio ambiance is what I think helps sets it apart because it’s a great vibe since they have misters outside. Parking is very easy and free which is a plus in Dallas. Just your typical neighborhood Tex Mex with a good patio! I will say the chips and salsa are actually very good. The salsa is spicy!

They have a good selection of items for happy hour. Staff was friendly and great service.

This is a beautiful restaurant name when visiting Dallas, I try to stop by once. Our server was impeccable and didn’t require basic requests. Forethought and anticipation of our needs. The HH margs were good. The only drawback, their music was too loud. We couldn’t think the last time I visited. There really isn’t any type of acoustical barriers with the floors, walls or ceilings, so it was loud. Great for family, HH, friends.

The drink menu doesn’t have prices on it which like whatever, I’m not going to nickel and dime… buuuut gotta watch out cause some of those drinks are closer to $20. I split a salad and had some drinks with my wife and was around $90 which to me is a full dinner bill. Par for course in the area.

Such a great place to come hang out with my sisters. Was here for dinner a month back, had a great table in the middle of the dinning room area. The ceilings are covered in lavender flowers which really made it look very posh and instagramable. The menu is a little small but theres plenty of options for everyone, the food is okay, your typical tex mex menu. I wasn't impressed with the food options and it tasted just like every other tex mex restaurant, none of the food items stood out and they only had 1 dessert on the menu. However, when it came to the drinks it was a diff story, The margaritas were delicious and strong, definitely worth every penny and then some. That bartender really made sure we felt the liquor! I ordered green enchiladas. I will say the place definitely echoes so when its a full house it can get loud and hard to hear your party even when they are sitting next to you. The music level is at a normal volume so definitely is not a nuance. Just wish the echo volume could get fixed. They do have an outdoor patio for those days or nights the weather is nice. Theres parking immediately outside or u can also park inside the parking garage across from restaurant within the same center. Its a 2 minute walk from parking garage, very convenient. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I will say not all the tables have the same chairs. Some are not curvy people friendly, and were slightly uncomfortable to sit on. I wish all the chairs were the same so we didnt have to play musical chairs trying to decide which one was gonna be comfortable to sit on for long periods of time during dinner. I would recommend this for drinks and maybe appetizers.

My husband and I came here for happy hour while on vacation and had a good experience overall. I definitely recommend going during happy hour!! A lot of reviews mention the bad service and from our experience there wasn’t a huge rush from them but we also were there to just relax so if you’re in more of a hurry, I wouldn’t recommend it. We sat at the bar and had a variety of drinks and some happy hour tacos and were impressed with all the different drinks and the food. We got margaritas, a variety of mocktails, chips and salsa and the two happy hour taco options- beef and chicken. The bartender did seem slightly inexperienced at first when I was talking about a blended margarita, he didn’t quiet understand but he made good drinks otherwise and was kind. We were not greeted to well coming in as the hostess was on the phone for quiet some time but she was kind once she was off. There seemed to be a lot of workers moving around and some in training. We didn’t have too much experience with them. The atmosphere was super cute and well done from a decor perspective. I’d recommend coming here for happy hour for sure!

We were excited to try Joe Leo as a few of our friends recommended this place. The food was definitely solid, but I think what really stole the show was the ambiance and vibe! The upstairs lounge was a great place to wait for a table and get a drink as well as some chips and salsa! Drinks were very good!! I had the Pineapple Smoke and it was super refreshing, while my girlfriend got the People’s Margarita which she enjoyed as well. The bartenders were also super friendly and the manager (I believe that’s who she was) also greeted us and made sure we got taken care of. We both ordered fajitas so we got chicken and beef. Frankly, the chicken was not very good, but the beef fajitas were great! The butter they serve the fajitas with was also a nice touch I have never seen done before. We also really liked the chips and salsa. The only reason I am taking a star off was cause our service once we got to our table wasn’t very good. Our waiter wasn’t mean or anything, he just never smiled, we could barely hear him when he talked and he disappeared on us a couple times. His tone too just seemed like he didn’t want to be there, and that took away from our experience. Other than that, overall a fun and good experience and definitely worth checking out!

Good was pretty good, I gave a 4 star because I asked for a fajita beef enchilada that was an up charge and when I got home saw that it was the regular ground beef. But update to a 3 because the response did not acknowledge the part where I said I didn’t receive my fajita style enchiladas.

Expensive fajitas were okay but if you’re gonna charge $27 for combo fajitas you have to serve guacamole. That’s just cheap. Nice patio and cold beer. Good salsa and chips too.

So disappointed that they changed their taco salad. It used to come in a delicious puffy taco bowl. Now it comes in a tacky bowl with no shell :/ It just doesn’t hit the same. Anyways the passion fruit marg was good. But two salads and 4 margs will cost you $100 Expensive for mid food and vibes. I hate to be brutally honest, but i gotta keep it real

Visited for “Happy Hour” which just includes drinks for $5. If you are looking for a good happy hour visit lower Greenville’s this is not the place. I was disappointed by the queso we ordered, it stiffened up really quick and didn’t have a good flavor. We also got enchiladas which were fine and fajitas but too expensive for us. Definitely take that into account- maybe it’s the location but prices were high especially if you are trying to be in that happy hour budget. The restaurant is beautiful though, design/decoration is very trendy.

We were sat immediately which was great, but we were seated over 30 minutes without a server greeting us. After about 20 minutes, I decided to go to the bar to at least get drinks, and the bartender refused to serve me since we had a table. Waited 10 more minutes and ultimately left without eating 2 stars because when you can manage to get service the food is really good

Edit* I emailed the management as requested by their comment. They did not reply and the comment, asking me to email them, is now missing. Not sure if that is due to me editing this review or them deleting it. We love to come here for happy hour and the guac, which is phenomenal. We decided to try something else this week and ordered the nachos. Taste/quality wise they were as expected. But would not recommend after the $14 nachos were actually 6 chips with a sprinkling of toppings. Unfortunately the server was absent as well. Looks like we’ll be sticking to happy hour.

So disappointed. We used to come here all the time the first few years. Raved about it to friends and brought many people here. Lately we've noticed a decline, but after a full day without power and craving Tex Mex, I suggested Joe Leo. Wish I hadn't. The chips with salsa were overly salty and the ones that came with guacamole, stale. Hubby's portion of $24 chicken fajitas was sad. My shrimp came out raw and I had to send back. Guess I should have checked the taco too. The beef was cold, raw and bloody and I like rare beef....but not on a taco. Only the drinks were decent and they came from a machine. Over $120 later and I regret coming. Won't likely be back.

Food was cool. Guac was bland and not mixed together all of the way. Waiter barely served us and we had to continuously waive him down. Service seems more efficient if you are white. Didn’t refill our waters unless asked and avoided eye contact. I ordered beef enchiladas. I’d go to Gloria’s instead.

We had a really sweet waitress but the food was one star. The salsa tasted like plastic, the fajitas were drowning in butter, veggies taste like freezer burn, the tortillas were undercooked and the cherry on top was in the form of a bug. This food is not up to par. Do better Joe Leo please.

I chose this place after seeing Instagram posts about it, for friends to take me for my birthday lunch. It was not crowded. We had to ask the server twice for ice because the tea had hardly any, and we only got one additional glass of ice. I was told they were out of beans, but others at my table got beans with their meal. We asked for additional chips, but we had to go to the lady at the front desk, and then we had to direct the person bringing the chips to the correct table. She took my plate before I was finished eating, but I didn’t tell her not to because I was so shocked at getting any service at all. I’m not sure if it was our servers first day, but it needs to be her last day. The manager tried to help and we appreciated that, but he should have told her to stop servicing our table and taken over that responsibility, especially after I asked for her to not be our server anymore. When she brought our checks, they were all messed up, so the manager took 25% off each bill. I was really hoping this would be a decent place because I like the location in the atmosphere.

Went here for an afternoon meal on a Saturday. Place was full inside but only 1 or 2 tables outside because of the heat. We sat outside and had the worst service experience our group has ever had. I have worked in the restaurant industry as a server for 5+ years and my brother is the operator of 3 restaurants… when we tell you it was terrible…. The servers first words to us were “is this going to be on one check or separate” to our group of 4 while she had the most miserable face on. It continued to go downhill from there and got so bad that we ended up having to get a new server. I understand staffing is hard right now but a little training on how to great a table or talk to customers appropriately would go a long way. The drinks were good but food was average. My husband and I really wanted to like this place since we live around the corner but unfortunately we will not return.

Staff is so rude i thought we were at Dicks last resort. Our drinks were so nasty!!!! If I’m being honest Jack in the box tacos are way way way way better than the crispy tacos. And way cheaper.

Horrible service. My taco came out cold. I ordered an a la carte taco and it was way upcharged and was not the price that was stated when I ordered it. It was way expensive and I do not recommend this place.

First time dining in and left the restaurant very disappointed and disgusted. I came here for happy hour and ordered a frozen margarita and the beef picadillo nachos.I finished a full piece of nachos and as I was about to take a bite of the second piece, I noticed a dead fly on my food. I felt so sick to my stomach and so disgusted wondering if I had just consumed an insect and how dirty the food I had just eaten was. I was even more disappointed when they offered to comp the nachos for me but not my $5 drink. A $5 dollar drink! I felt like this was the least they could’ve done to turn my experience around if they had any concept of customer service…like thanks a lot for not charging me for the plate of nachos with an extra piece of dead fly in it. Our server was nice, but will definitely not be returning again due to poor customer service and sanitation issues.

After coming several times, I would have have to say this was the worst experience here. Thinking since it’s the new years things will be better, I guess I was wrong. We was resorted to sit at the bar, and since we was ordering drinks we didn’t get a fair treatment like everyone else sitting at or around the bar. It was hard to get waitress attention for a simple glass of water. Just totally unsatisfied with the service. Regardless it your busy or slow, the quality of business and service should be the best.

We booked a reservation for our company Christmas party—16 people—and the restaurant confirmed it without any issues. Then, two days before the event, they informed us the reservation had to be canceled because the restaurant was being bought out for a private event. This left our team scrambling to find a new venue during one of the busiest times of the year. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional. If you’re planning a large gathering, I’d be cautious—our experience showed they do not honor confirmed reservations when something more lucrative comes along. Definitely not the reliability or communication you expect when organizing an important event.

We booked our Company Christmas party a month ago for Joe Leo and 3 days before our party (this coming Saturday) they called to say they over booked and cannot actually host us! (They offered a gift card enough to be valid for 1 person as consolation) I personally frequent many great spots in Dallas each week and was excited to give this one a try but after experiencing their incompetence I am unwilling to trust them with making a cocktail. Book with awareness of customer handling.
