Sitting at the bar was a great experience, you get to see how the sushi is getting made, the staff have a great personality, and are very attentive I recommend making a reservation if you go on the weekend
Kome is hands d9wn my favorite sushi restaurant in the DFW. I thoroughly enjoy the small and intimate setting the restaurant has. We have been four times and every time is a delight. Prepare for a delicious meal, every cut of fish is amazing. Dont expect a budget friendly meal, but its worth every penny.
We just found this place when we noticed it on the sign when we drove by and we’re so glad we did! This place is tucked back away from parking lot, so IYKYK. It was delicious! We normally don’t like handrolls and really loved the Bluefin Tuna one especially! We sat at the bar and made friends with our sushi chef (maybe he wouldn’t go as far as to say that 😆). He was very friendly! We will definitely be back!
After going to the best restaurants in LA and even Japan I can confidently say KOME is one of the best sushi places I've been to. Not just in the food which is fresh and delicious but in the amazing service of all the sushi chefs, especially chef John. Everytime I go chef John and all the experienced sushi chefs are so attentive and kind, making me look forward to my next visit!! From someone who really values the quality of food and experiences, I highly recommend Kome for your next date night or just a really good time :)
Thank you for making my birthday feel extra special 🥳💕 The chefs all very friendly and I would love to visit some other time. The omkase is one the freshest I have in Dallas and beat the one I had in Tokyo! 😆 See you guys next time. Definitely call in advance at least a day for the omkase.
Came here on a date right when they opened on a Saturday for dinner so there was no wait. We ordered a thing of hand rolls (crabe, yellowtail, salmon, and 2 others I'm forgetting what they were, I believe it was the #5 on the menu). For our appetizer, we got the miso eggplant and IT WAS SO GOOD, like I'll come back just for that appetizer. It was hot and fresh. The eggplant was covered in a thin layer of tempura too and the miso sauce it came with, so delicious. I'm mad at myself because I forgot to take pics lol. And last but not least, matcha ice cream for dessert. Creamy and yummy 😋. Definitely coming back at some point! For the service, our waitress was super attentive with refilling our waters and checked in on us of course but it wasn't overkill , just the right amount. I had to use the ladies room and it was clean and there was a small table where you can set down your purse (there was no a hook on the door or wall).
John Ha and Jung Choie are amazing chefs. Nothing here disappoints!! Order the birthday roll, salmon hand rolls, snow crab rolls, flamingo roll. Chris… Chris is a mixologist, his cocktails are handcrafted and he has his own recipes. I love this place, if I could give 10 stars, I would. I would marry these chefs so they can make me sushi at home! …. No seriously try this place!! We’ve agreed to patron here at least once a month.
Lovely sushi spot! We were near The Hill and made it an impromptu date night with dinner at Komé. The eggplant was cooked perfectly, the sushi was fresh and delicious – I especially loved the clean madai and meaty yellow tail from the sashimi platter. What really made the experience was the chefs! John Ha was our itamae, with an assist from chef Jun Choi –both were fun, engaging, and made our meal memorable. The atmosphere is chill and casual, we enjoyed amazing food and also had a good laugh.
Went here for dinner after getting engaged. Staff were super nice. The ambiance is nice and there's a small bar section if you're waiting and then thr actual sushi bar. There's 2-3 booth tables, regular, and high tables for seating. No patio. A small menu but delivers on flavor and fresh sushi. Also love having the tic-tac-toe while waiting in between orders.
I loved this place so much the first time I went, I had to come back less than a week later for more. The service is phenomenal, the fish is exceptionally fresh and the atmosphere is inviting. I’ve had both dinner and lunch here and it was equally great. This is officially my favorite sushi place in Dallas!
We went last weekend for our daughter‘s birthday, and it was an amazing experience! The food, the service, the decor, was all truly wonderful! The Wagyu hot rock was a stand out star and definitely worth the price. And the cocktails were fabulous especially the Japanese Old-fashioned blow torched at your table and the espresso martini! We highly recommend a visit!!
Excellent food and service. Entrance is hidden on the interior side of the property. Smaller venue with great ambiance. Big selection of drinks and cocktails, friendly wait staff, and wide-range of flavors and taste for anyone. Smoked Ceviche and Flamingo Roll were standouts at our lunch. Plenty of room available at lunch, but the venue has a smaller footprint so there is probably a wait at dinner. I'll be sure to make a reservation when we come back for an evening meal!
The best sushi restaurant I have ever eaten that was Ozumo in San Francisco - sometime before 2005, and nothing in Dallas has ever compared. I find that many have highlights in particular that have me remembering where to get the best spider roll or perhaps the best Salmon belly but for this place I just didn’t think anything was that memorable in terms of capturing the essence of the seafood that was available. The spiral roll was pretty good but only in presentation. It didn’t really stand out and I’ve had plenty of spider rolls along the way. It was early lunch, so perhaps the service was a bit spotty at that time. It seemed there was only one person available to service the restaurant and by the time I left there was probably four or five tables in play with customers. I waited on water quite a bit. The wasabi was a bit dull and had no bright kick to it, nor was it real wasabi as far as I could tell. Nothing shaved off the root and adorned on the plate. Hand rolls are also a bit different here. They may be more traditional, but they are definitely not the ice cream style rolls you would expect to get. These were quite small actually and you’ll need to order double what do you think you’ll need if you’re hoping to absolve an empty stomach. All in all, definitely a place that is worth returning to for a quick lunch, but not. Spit I will personally advocate for a social event with friends.
