Old Fashioned Donuts Dallas Reviews
Pictured here is what's left of our experience at Old Fashioned Donuts— NOTHING! We devoured a jelly donut, a chocolate covered twist, and a maple bar with chocolate frosting. We weren't quite sure about where we'd get donuts this morning cause you know sometimes it's just well, blah.. But we are not disappointed and we'll surely be getting more before we leave the area this coming Sunday.
Good donuts and employees are always friendly. Great place to take your kids as well, they even have donuts with little toys on top. For adults my favorite is the apple fritter
This place makes a mean old fashioned donut! The staff is wonderfully friendly!
Excellent local donut shop. Friendly staff. Clean.
loved my donut here! great service and great donut.
Friendly family-owned business. Thanks for the good service and Halloween donuts!

We love this place. All of their regular donuts are good and fresh, but their cronuts are the hidden gem! They also take special orders if your office is like mine and prefers a dozen cronuts!
We tried 3 things this morning. Had a jalapeno sausage roll. It was soft and flaky. The sausage was a little sweet, but it was good. The blueberry cake donut was perfect. Light and flavorful, not overly glazed or dense. We also tried a large cinnamon roll, they aren't very big, they are kinda flat, but listen. They have a great light flaky bite to them, more like a donut texture, but swirled. And they dust them in the cinnamon powder, didn't know if we would like that but it was really good. The ladies working were sweet and helpful. They have parking out front and handicap accessible. They had hot fresh brew coffee, and a cooler with bottled options. For a quick donut place, I give it a solid 4.6.
Love this BUT sometimes the staff concerns me. A guy today heated up our $40 of Kiloche and sausage and egg sandwiches uncovered all at once.. so I told him they get hard without a cover in a microwave.. he didn't speak English.. he turned to the woman and she smiled and started to put them back in the case.. out of fear of her getting someone sick with those re-heated eggs, I said we'll take them. Note to self, only getting stuff fresh off the rack from now on.
A wonderful Korean family runs this place and their donuts are awesome! My favorite are their apple fritters, second favorite are the old fashioned donuts. I've had the sausage kolaches, their bacon donut, blueberry cake and of course their donut holes and all of them were fantastic. The store is always clean and everyone is wearing a mask! #BuyLocal #SupportSmallBusiness #LoveEntrepreneurship
I walk here every Saturday with the kiddo. Great selection and tasty treats. Usually have a melt down when we walk home but if I keep stuffing her full of sausage rolls she calms down.
What a great addition to the neighborhood! Such better taste, quality and variety over the two near Mockingbird and Abrams. So impressed with this new shop!!!!! I had to drive an extra 4 minutes, but that was time well spent. Go visit them and keep them in business!
I’ve been twice now and I love this shop. Clean, organized, bright, and the donuts and coffee are delicious. The strawberry iced donut is the best. I’m so glad to have a shop like this in the neighborhood.
Oh My!! Donut Heaven! Crazy crazy unique flavors that are out of this world. The “Maple Bacon” and Fruity Peddles were incredible. My grandson Wyatt was sooo excited for the doggie shaped donut!
Absolutely delicious! Light, buttery flaky Croissants, perfectly balanced apple fritters, can't wait to go back and try more!

Great little family owned donut shop with yummy croissants and kolaches. We’ve used them for breakfast/brunch parties!

Look... They're basic donuts and, if you live in the neighborhood, they're a convenient location. Lower your expectations and it's fine. Definitely not Top Pot, not the best in the city. Your kids will be thrilled. Fin.
Not traditional old fashion donut. This was much lighter and the woman gave me the wrong donut and when I told her she took the one from my box which I opened and put it back and gave me the one I wanted.

gosh using vegtable oil is so bad its rarely made from veggies and made from canola. Can you tell us whats the vegtable oil made out of? prefer butter or Ghee or coconut oil.

Worst EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! The lady that helped did not speak any English, so me asking if they had any boxes to place my Mrs on did not help. They forced a tip, without a sign or anything saying that I would be paying a tip even if I opt out. The food choices I have looks like they been sitting for a while. It’s all wrinkled and odd. It doesn’t even taste that well. For me. I will not be coming back again. Have a great day.

These donuts are ok but are certainly NOT worth the price! $1.30 cents for ONE blueberry donut! I do LOVE donuts and am not apposed to paying a FAIR price, however there prices are OUTRAGEOUSLY PRICEY compared to pretty much ANY OTHER donut shop. Yes, I HAVE done my homework and am pretty sure that the inflated cost is because of the location $$$$$ !!! So if you happen to live nearby, chances are you probably do not even notice the inflated prices. Top pot donuts were also pricey, BUT they were also 2-3 times the SIZE of these and were well worth the price, these are NOT! They would not get much business in other neighborhoods, but then I do not believe they would be as costly!!
