Open Palette Dallas Reviews
The buffet was delightful, with a wide variety of delicious food options. The establishment was very clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The coffee was particularly delicious, and the decor was charming, with many lovely accent plants.
The most amazing beef rib i have ever had. Falling from the bone and potato salad was great. Good service, restaurant’s Sr Sous Chef Ricardo went to my table just to ask about my day and my meal which it was big plus on this visit to Open Pallet. will miss Dallas for sure.
I attended a conference at this hotel and had the opportunity to eat at open palette, I was surprised of the variety of the menu, I ate the winter salad and crab cake bites and was just perfect for this season, well achieved!!! Definitely a place to come back
So I was in the Sheraton for the night and I travel to many states as a flight attendant, I had the pleasure of enjoying this delicious Kobe beef burger while there. I mentioned being a flight attendant only as it’s become the norm to order food upon arrival after a long day and not wanting to have to go far away with quick turnarounds the next morning. Having had numerous burgers from a plethora of hotels this one has left a mark as one of my top spots I must visit again on a layover as I truly enjoyed this burger. This is the fancier spot to dine and the hotel has a Draft bar location in it as well bud I am glad I came here to eat. The decor and seating are spectacular, the service is top notch. If staying the night at this hotel definitely stop in for a bite.
Excellent food, excellent service and atmosphere. A diverse menu with meat and vegetarian options…
Open pallete restaurant is one of the best spot to eat when you’re in sheraton dallasand dont forget to track the pork belly noodles which is my favorite and the peach cobler if you are looking to have a good dessert 😊😊
Really enjoying my time at the Open Pallete~ I arrived at the hotel much earlier than my roommates and this was the perfect place to grab a bite. I had the kale salad which was delicious~ Cold drinks came with biodegradable agave straws. My server ( Eloy ) was kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable of their unique menu ( I wish I could afford 1 of everything! ) and truly went above and beyond~ There is also a bar with a wide variety of drinks, large televisions ( sports ), subtle music, and warmly lit vibe. Just what I needed and more while I wait ~ Definitely recommend if you're staying at or near the Sheraton Dallas!
I walked here from the Statler just for this plate and it did not disappoint. Everything tasted fresh and the staff was very friendly.
Andrea is an amazing server, I had the best time ever, loved the food and drinks

Nice relaxed place to have a drink. They have TVs in the bar with sports on, but you can also opt to sit at the tables or the little garden area outside which is beautiful with couches and plush chairs and all. Our waitress Alexandra was awesome too, very nice and attentive, and she even validated our parking ticket for the garage! I will be back
The tortilla soup was delicious, filling, and a very generous serving. Cheap too. Would recommend over and over. Only negative was service was a little slow.
On my 3rd day here in Dallas performing at the ACDA National Convention, I decided to take the advice of one of my colleagues and try the restaurant, Open Palette, right here in my hotel at the Sheraton. My colleague suggested the tortilla soup, which my awesome server, Jacqueline, also said was very delicious. I was not disappointed! This tasty soup with a spicy kick was just what I wanted. Now, please note that I'm originally from TX, and the kick in the spice of this delectable soup was not a problem for me. Perhaps avoid it if even mild to moderate heat from capsaicin is a problem for you. The presentation of the soup was, for me, a new experience. The chef brought out the solid in gradients (tortilla, cheese, and avocado) in the bowl, then poured to hot soup into the bowl. That way, the tortilla strips don't get soggy and maintain their crispness and crunch. My final course of my gastronomic lunch was the Pappardelle alla vodka. Wow! The pasta was perfect, and the vodka sauce, just wow! It's one of the best vodka sauces I've ever had. I also loved the little sweety drop peppers in the sauce. I added shrimp to this entrée as the protein to round out this tasty lunch. As my server Jacqueline said when I placed my order, "You are going to have such a delicious lunch!" She was so on point. Thanks, Jacqueline!

🌟🌟🌟 Open Palette - Sheraton Dallas “We tried Open Palette three times during our conference stay, and each visit was a bit of a roll of the dice. Some days, the wait staff was friendly and on it, while other times it felt like we’d been forgotten. The food followed suit—sometimes delicious, other times pretty forgettable. It’s convenient if you need a quick bite between conference sessions, but if there were more options nearby, I’d probably explore those. All in all, Open Palette does the job but isn’t a must-visit.”
Food was good but not great. Had the ribeye asked for rare and it was almost well done. I’d say eat outside the hotel if you’re here a while.
Place was severely understaffed. No place to sit at the bar and no servers came out to me at the tables. After 20 min of waiting I finally went up to the bar and asked for some service at the table. Bartender took my order from the bar and brought it out to me once prepared. Food was great. The roasted chicken was a plate I could re-order again several times.

It was not busy so the service was very good. The Steak Frites on the menu give you the option of Hangar, Beef Rib or Ribeye. I love Hangar Steak and you hardly ever see it on menus, so I ordered it. When it arrived it was not a Hangar Steak, it wasn’t a Ribeye or a beef rib. My best guess was it was a Flat Iron or Flank. It was a decent cut and it was tasty, but it was not a Hangar Steak. I asked my server if anyone had ever mentioned this and he said I was the first. I travel a lot and know that hotel restaurants aren’t usually the best and are over priced. That being said, the food and service was good, but the lack of caring that the menu item I ordered was not correct puts a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended). Don’t put something on your menu that you don’t actually have.

Very expensive for the low quality of food. $18 for slow service and a cheeseburger with a completely stale, crumpled bun and old lettuce. Could have taken an Uber to Whataburger and gotten better food for about the same amount of money and time.

While the food was great, our waiter Ray, was rather rude, and had a subtle, yet noticeable around us. We received no refills on our water, and our small party of 4 had a forced 20% gratuity for sub-par table service.

Eloy provided the worst service I’ve ever encountered. He rushed us throughout our dining experience and abruptly stopped serving food, claiming the kitchen was backed up, despite the fact that the restaurant was still seating other tables. This was an absolutely unacceptable experience!
Came here today waiter Ray was extremely rude. After being seated for 15 minutes with no help. He took our order and decided to leave when his coworker arrived. Dirty tables and cups terrible new years experience here

I try to keep my expectations relatively low when eating at hotel restaurants, but this food was so bad I had to warn other potential customers. I will eat anything else before I dine here again.
