Ruggeri's - Dallas Dallas Reviews
Excellent venue for authentic itailian dinners. Waiter provided a great wine pairing. We arrived early at 6pm but restaurant filled quickly by 6:30pm and noise levels increased dramatically. Live piano music started at 7pm. Overall, an enjoyable experience. We'll be back in the near future.
Always great food, service and classic atmosphere
Great food. Lovely atmosphere, great service
Great food, great service, intimate setting
Excellent staff. Love the stuffed shrimp
Very nice staff. And beautiful place. Very relaxing
Had a fabulous piece of sole. Service was superb.
Delicious authentic Italian food!
The Chicken Kiev is absolutely amazing.
Our favorite for holiday dining
Best restaurant in Dallas.
Just, unbelievable Italian. Fresh, authentic, superb. The customer service is beyond belief, a 5 start rating doesn’t do this place justice. They are there to impress and and satisfy!
Excellent food with great nitely specials. Good service. The pianist makes the evening super
Best Italian Restaurant in Dallas. Chicken Kiev is a unique dish.
Fabulous food, service and atmosphere. We love to dine there often.
The food was amazing, the atmosphere warm and lovely. And the tiramisu was divine.
Sergio was absolutely awesome and very authentic!! Awesome service and atmosphere!! Felt like we walked in to old italy!!
Very good restaurant in Dallas. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
Love this place . everything is so delicious and the people there are so nice and friendly . Food is the best .
Wednesday night is live music by request; food is exquisite!
McKinney location closed many years ago but Dallas location on Royal at Preston is still great!
Best food I ever had, try Fish Trout it was mind blowing
Wonderful place for a family Christmas dinner. Recommend their lamb.
We went here for our Anniversary. The owner himself called the day before to confirm our reservations. When we arrived we were promptly seated and they had some lovely flowers for my wife. Sergio was our server he was amazing. We started with the combination appetizer of crab claws, calamari, & stuffed shrimp. It all melted in our mouth. The entrees were to die for and they gave us a complimentary desert. We had a 5 star experience all around. We will definitely return.
Absolutely Fantastic! From start to finish the meal was perfect. We had the baked oysters because my son loves them. I was really sceptical but they were so delicious! The spinach salad was outstanding as was the garlic bread. All the entrees were great and the sauces were fresh. We even made room for the tiramisu. Can't wait to go back!
Very good experience here! Delicious homemade garlic bread, great pasta! The service was very attentive, and on Saturday night there was a live pianist which was great for the romantic atmosphere. Prices were a little high, but it's a nice place
Excellent food, attentive service, & lovely atmosphere. Families, singles & couples were enjoying dinner. The interior is lovely & cosy; can be romantic too for those on special dates. Nice little outdoor patio for those who are enjoying this beautiful weather. It is a destination restaurant - nice to spend time there, relax & enjoy a great dinner and a glass of wine in a pleasant atmosphere. The Chocolate Mousse Cake dessert was really delicious!
Amazing restaurant some of the best pasta I've had in a while. Salads were great. Pasta especially angel hair was great with fresh tomatoes and garlic. A++ for service which made the night that much better. Make sure to come here asap
This is a great spot for lunch on a weekday. White tablecloths, stemmed water glasses, gracious service and food that is well presented. Wonderful bread served at the table and great salads in addition to all the classic Italian dishes.
I was given the recommendation by an uber driver. I am not from the area so I always ask the locals. He raved about the place, and so I decided to try. Came in for lunch and got a side order of garlic bread. It was insanely good. One of, if not the best I've had. I got a chicken parm for my entree, and it was also delicious. The side of penne and a side of broccoli was a strange pairing in my head for chicken parm, but au least they tasted good. Service was great. It is a little dark in the restaurant. My only complaint was that they sat a big party in the center of the room, rather than away from other guests. Highly recommend.
Tom Ruggeri was extremely helpful in helping me plan my bosses 99th birthday! We needed a little privacy in an area of our own and had decided on a limited menu. Tom suggested three different dishes, One per protein and a wonderful manicotti appetizer and everything was so perfect and delicious including the atmosphere and the talent of the wait people. They even had our special menu printed up and passed out to all the guests and my boss was so impressed with everything and totally fell in love with the manicotti appetizer! Every single guest loved the food and it was just such a nice dinner party. Tom kept in touch with me on the phone Making sure that everything was on track and even called a few days after the party to make sure everybody was happy. We haven’t made plans for the hundredth birthday yet but I have a funny feeling it may involve Tom’s restaurant!! And I have a feeling I’m going to be taking my youngest daughter there for her birthday dinner as she too very much enjoyed the food that night. Thank you so much to everybody who made that such a successful dinner party!
been in Dallas for 20 years, but never tried. I asked some friends where the best authentic italian food was. They referred me to Ruggeri's. I thought it was fantastic and can't believe I haven't tried until now. The best Cioppino I have had. highly recomend
I love all the food in this building. I work upstair. I LOVE spaghetti w meat sauce here. One of the best I ever had:-) actually I’m coming to eat it today for lunch :-)
Great italian food and wine!!! Also great atmosphere.
Food was good service could be a little more attentive.
Classic old school Italian.
Well worth a visit for ambiance, but even more so for quality, taste and range of menu items. Loved it.
Very nicely accommodated. A good Easter Sinday menu, nicely priced with a nice Italian ambiance in an intimate surrounding
Old school Italian. I liked it. I had the sausage and peppers. It was tasty, the spaghetti and sauce were great. Good service. It was busy but not crowded when we were there. Overall I would be happy to go back
Food and service was great, but over priced. It has a very 'old school' atmosphere. The tiramisu is by FAR the best I've had though! Food and service also seemed a little rushed instead of a long fine dining experience.
Food is great but service is sketchy
Competent old school Italian American fare, but so tired...I mean like choke yourself with the napkin tired. It has its crowd and there is nothing wrong with the place...its just so tired to me.
Visited for brunch. Food was ok. The interior was very dated. Service was great.
Food is ok, but expensive. Try the same options at lunch for much less. The wait staff is a bit surly.
The food was Luke warm. The baked stuff shrimp was way too much stuffing and much too little shrimp. The salad lacked dressing. High price and low quality.
First impression: the interior looks like a restaurant you'd see on the show, kitchen nightmares. It looks outdated and too dark. We were offered cocktails but they didn't have an actual bartender. I believe the waiter or manager was making them so we passed on them. The house garlic bread was very good. My wifes pasta was pretty decent but my pasta was undercooked.
If I could give less than one star I would. The service and the food were horrible. The server forgot to put our order in and had to ask us to repeat it 20 minutes after we gave it to them. Food finally came out cold. The manager was to busy too speak to us. Even ordering from them on Uber Eats is a pain.
My mom ate at this restaurant on 8/25/18 and this is her review: "This restaurant has good food and good live music. However, after dinner and drinks we were told that someone else wanted our table and were asked to leave. In my 50 years of dining out, I have never been asked to leave a restaurant after having dinner, multiple drinks and generously tipping the musician and server. We were told that 2 men wanted our specific table while there were plenty of other open tables. I will not be returning to this restaurant and I will make sure everyone I know is aware of this situation. For the amount I spent at this restaurant, that was ridiculous."
