Fung Wah Daly City Reviews
Dined in with Wor Won Ton Soup Very complete meal for a soup Took out Salt Pepper Chicken boneless and Salt Pepper Pork chop Place is old but the food is what matters Not your panda express meals. Freshly cooked you have to wait. Chicken and pork that I took out was perfect not so much flour unlike other Chinese me restaurants use so much batter you can not see the meat anymore Will come back again for other dishes You know it's good when Chinese people eat and order
I passed by here many times and never knew if it was open because the curtains block the interior view. Today I finally have this place a shot on a hungry mindset. It’s like a hole in the wall that serve authentic Chinese dishes at great prices. Also the service was great and the food was very delicious. I definitely will be back to try out other dishes.

Home cook meals! This is unique restaurant always packed and full. Hard to come in to dine in every dishes is delicious no complaints except waiting on food is slow due to one cook only but the service and the owner are very friendly like your aunt and feel like home. Too bad I forgot to take pictures for the meal cuz was waiting long time, can't wait to dig in quickly. Yummy food we ordered was woh won ton soup, sweet and sour pork and combo chow mein 😋 very good portion and so cheap price!
My favorite Chinese food in the neighborhood, not only is it authentic but portions are huge! I usually order beef and tofu and shrimp scramble with a side of rice, comes out to $22.30. The owner is also very nice and remembers your order. I highly recommended this restaurant.
You will wait a long time. You can't expect fancy service or decor. It's outstanding, homestyle chinese, at a low price. The wontons and eggrolls, even spring rolls are freshly homemade and it shows. They feature fried smelts, and various classics. The chinese broccoli and greens are flavorful and never overcooked. The food is made to order. The quality and portions are generous. It confuses me when people complain about decor and service in a place that is obviously just a takeout - and a very busy one at that because of it's loyal following. Get the food here. You won't be dissapointed.
Compare to other hole in the walls, this is the best. Best tasting, good portions, and low prices. Unfortunately too many people know about this place and so sometimes waits are long. Once you experience their food and prices ,you will be a regular.
My wife suggested that I order a beef chow mein with bok choy... wow, delicious. Beef strips were tender. Overall seasoning just right. Very generous amount for the price. Wonderful.
We ordered food to go. It was our first time there. It was really good. I will definitely be going back.
Order take out. Oyster sauce beef and string beans over rice. Pork chow mein. It was the best...
I went in around 11:45am on a Sunday to make an order and they looked super busy filling out catering/party tray orders. The guy at the front warned me it’ll take at least 1hr which was OK for me since I had errands. He wrote down my number and called me when my order was being processed. This is my new favorite spot for take out Chinese food. The portions are immense given the price you’re paying; $44 got me a heaping tub of spicy eggplant, crunchy orange chicken, veggie chow fun with emphasis on the veggie, and a braised mushroom & bokchoy dish. Reminder - this is a CASH ONLY spot.

Good food with a very affordable price. The salt and pepper fish was light and crispy, the war won ton was full of items and great flavor, the only thing I didn’t like was that the chow Mein noodles were a bit undercooked. Good service and the place looked clean. Again the prices are the most affordable in the area.
Fung Wah is a neighborhood Chinese restaurant where it serves decent Chinese food. The patrons during the day are construction workers and at night, families doing take-out. By no means are they fancy. The chef(s) are fast and the food is good. Earlier this afternoon, I had their scrambled egg with Chinese sausage over rice. The egg was not runny enough for me. What made this dish good was the brown sauce on top and the Chinese sausage was not rubbery. The portion size was generous. Good job staff at Fung Wah.
Tiny hole in the wall spot on Mission. you could probably drive by it and not even notice. Definitely seems like a family-run operation. Although small their menu is pretty extensive. came here on a Friday night and luckily we came at the time we did. After we sat down it seemed like a rush of people came and the entire restaurant was full. We ordered four dishes. One of my absolute favorite dishes, hung tao yee fu wonton, was fantastic! The combination of crispy wontons and flavorful soup was perfect. Definitely something you should order. Next up was salt and pepper porkchops. Nicely fried and very crispy. We got two vegetable dishes. The eggplant was very good. We also got pea sprouts. Unfortunately I didn't eat them because I was way too full, but my parents said they were good! Although this is a small restaurant, this place provides huge portions for what they charge. I suggest coming early so you don't have to wait.

Parking very hard only street parking fried chicken wings are very good
Great hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. Only thing that is iffy is when they open at 11:00am they are usually immediately swamped with orders. They have told me that its an hour fifteen minutes wait one time. But if you can get in with minimal wait, it's the best and cheapest Singapore style rice noodles in the San Francisco, Daly City area.
The portions have shrunk however we still go there. I love their wings personally always get extra sweet and sour sauce!

Today was the worse day so far coming to this restaurant!! I heard from friends the food was good. I was hesitant at first because it looks so dirty outside. Because their own were eating here I figured it's good. It's always busy. The food is good with the exception of the sweet and sour pork. The parts that have most of the batter are pork fat underneath. The parts that look thicker are the same batter fried too much. The rest of the food I have to say is pretty good. Today I ordered 3 items and they gave me the nasty sweet and sour pork I don't like instead of my pork fried rice. The worst part is I was told there would be a 30 minute wait that turned out to be an hour and twenty minutes. We should at least be told the truth so we can decide if we want to go somewhere else. It makes me sad to not come back but at this point it's not really worth going to. Don't believe when they say thirty minutes because it is NEVER 30 minutes!!

Prices- very reasonable. Portions- very generous. Flavor- lacking. Food quality- average. Ordered: Sweet n sour rice plate- sauce more vinegar flavor than sweet. Lots of juicy golden chunks of solid pork fat. Not crunchy fried , very few chunks of actual meat. Beef with tomato chow mein - driest beef tomato chow mein I have ever tasted. Lacked sauce and flavor. Beef and bean sprout chow fun was the most reasonably acceptable of the three. Not sure if I'd go back.
My brother recommended us this place, and just realized it’s near our home. This is my favorite Chinese take out. They’re salt & pepper chicken wings are the best. But I guess you gotta sacrifice your time. We are aware it’s under new owners now? We always order to go, but each time it’s been over an hour wait time. I’m currently still waiting for our food that was called in @ 5:46pm and it’s 7:22pm now. Still waiting for our dinner

We like the food here, but we had one bad experience, so I rated it a one star. They got our order wrong, and they wouldn't admit it. I guess it was because the lady spent more time on the phone than on our order. We even pointed at the name of the order. After that, they just didn't want to serve us anymore and said they were too busy. We wasted time waiting on a table for our order that didn't come. We left hungry.
