180blu Dana Point Reviews
Typically when there is a stellar view the food and service take a dip, but that is not the case here. It’s the full package of delicious cuisine and cocktails, attentive and personable service staff and million dollar views. They don’t take reservations so be sure to time a potential wait if you want to imbibe watching the sunset. Also you can order items from the Raya bar menu here. They even had live music that was great background and added to the full experience. The swordfish dip (on the Raya bar menu) and the ahi tuna sandwich were top picks!
Great spot for a nice relaxing lunch 🥗 The service was great as well as the food. The portions aren’t huge and the cost wasn’t outrageous.
I went here on my birthday for a drink and light dinner with my friend last Monday. The waiter was so attentive and kind making sure the heaters were on and even gifting our appetizer. I’ve been to the hotel for a wedding and will definitely make it a tradition to return. ☺️
The place to go in Dana Point for a sunset view with a pre-dinner cocktail.
The rooftop restaurant is incredible! We ate there 3 times during our vacation! Amazing food, amazing view! Excellent service! Dog friendly, even a doggy menu! Soo great!!
very fun dining location inside the Ritz. Prices were a tad high but not crazy.
We stopped here for the “light fare” post lunch menu. The cocktails were delish and refreshing. Fantastic salads. Get the cheesecake! Service was quick and top tier. And you can’t beat this view!
Went there for a drink. This so-called “Laguna Sunset” drink is so good and pretty too. The ocean view is also amazing. Staffs there are also very sweet and friendly. Will bring my dog for the pet menu next time!
Amazing views of the Pacific Ocean, if you are patient and lucky, you may see dolphins near the beach. Astonishing sunsets and most of all, the excellent service delivered by Marco and Allissann. They are excellent hosts, always committed to delivering superb customer experience and delight. Highly recommend for their food and cocktails!
We came here to spend the $300 Marriott credit card annual bonus👍 There’s a beach parking down the hill (~3min walk) that only costs $1/hour. This place takes walk-ins only, decent food with good cocktails. Loved their passion fruit mojito and ginger cocktails. Fries was a bit undercooked but still yummy. Spectacular view and great service!
The food and the views at 180blũ were amazing! I had the surf and turf tacos, which were delicious. The meat was cooked well and all the ingredients tasted very fresh and bright. The service here was also great. Highly recommend visiting and having a relaxing meal outside.
What a beautiful view Had brunch here with my family on the new year day. Small menu but great food. We Love it here
Great bar located in the Ritz Carlton Laguna. It overlooks the beach and the view is amazing. It does get packed quick. If you would like to see the sun set we recommend you coming early and finding a spot. Drinks are pricey averaging about $14 -$18 for premium drinks. They give you house made coen nuts when you are seated. We were there 2 nights in a row and their were live pefformers which made the ambiance that much better. A must try is their chocolate cake. It is amazing!!!!
Even during the Pandemic, 180 Blu still produces fantastic foods. As part of staycation for our anniversary, we stayed at the ritz-Carlton. During our stay, no other restaurants were opened except the 180blu restaurant. This is an amazing restaurant with a spectacular view of the Monarch beach. Right now, seating for the restaurant is first come first served with no reservation taken. Since we stay at the hotel, we went early and got the best seat in the house. The foods were second to none. We ordered 4 small plates that included sweet potato fries, honey BBQ chicken wings, quesadilla with cheese and grilled broccoli to share. Out of the 4 dishes, I like the BBQ chicken wings the best. The flavor is great with teriyaki sauce and honey. The sweet potato fries was very good too, crispy and tasty. Don’t forget their ice tea. 180 Blu has the best ice tea in town. The tea flavor is very fragrance without the normal butter taste of black tea. It was just the right drink for a hot day to enjoy the beach view.
Tis place was absolutely magical. The view. Wow! The food was extraordinary and they also had live music. Rose was our server, and she was unbelievable! You have to go there. 😊

Top notch in all aspects. A vibe that lasts in the memory. The only thing that can be improved is the menu, it has limited choices. Quality is unmatched though.
The food here is actually amazing. I am surprised to say that as it’s more of a lounge but I think, hands down best yam fries I’ve had in SoCal! Lovely view! Would give it 5 stars but service was subpar that day we were there...maybe understaffed? All in all, worth it. Get the Yam fries!
A little windy but beautiful ocean views. Open seating with a limited menu. Currently $10 to park at valet with no self-parking option. Great for light bites and a cocktail at sunset!
Scenic date spot for a Friday night. The best part about this place is the views. Stunning view of the Pacific Ocean, Salt Creek Beach, and grounds of the Ritz Carlton. Fair warning, though, the staff mentioned they won’t be bringing out space heaters until the new year, and it does get chilly on the oceanfront, so I recommend wearing a couple layers at least. The menu was very typical for New American cuisine, and everything was fresh and tasty. We got the ahi tuna and truffle fries. The ahi tuna was accompanied by quintessential California condiments, avocado and blue corn chips. The truffle fries were hot and crispy. I get them everywhere and can confirm these were up to standard. I felt a bit dehydrated, so I opted for a mocktail. I was recommend the Fresh Press, and it was a perfect blend of berries and bubbles. Definitely recommend this secluded gem in South Orange County!

Stopped in a few times on our trip, the views are amazing. Good place to have drinks and maybe an appetizer. Wanted to try their spicy orange coriander wings and was quite disappointed, wings were dry and not appetizing at all, whipped feta dip was alright, the pita bread could have been better. Drinks were good and so was the service. Not sure how they can serve food like this at the "Ritz" but it is a miss compared to places around them.

SAD----Wanted to try their wings and was quite disappointed, wings not appetizing at all-only positive point is the beautiful views but even that is not enough a redeeming quality for us to ever consider returning.I knew it was somewhere we wouldn't sit at and relax or enjoy long, the chairs were hard and uncomfortable. Causing butt pain to the backs of my legs. We asked for water and watched the table seated after us receive their cocktails and we still hadn't gotten a glass of water?? As we ate we listened to our waitress give so much time and attention to the table next to us who she seemed more than happy to be attentive to. I am certain they were provided far better service than we got. No water refills, $187 bill before we tipped.

Talk about disapppointing. This has been a spot on my list of places to try for some time. So after a long day out hiking we decided it was close enough to come try before heading home and let me just say youd really expect more from a place to dine at a Ritz Carlton. Leaving more to be desired feels like an understatement and I can not even begin to express the depths of our disappointment not only with the overall quality of the food but with the service. The only positive point is the beautiful views but even that is not enough a redeeming quality for us to ever consider returning. Our initial server Tyler was great and I sincerely wish we would have stayed in his section, but we wanted to sit with a bit more of a view. As soon as we sat down I knew it was somewhere we wouldn't sit at and relax or enjoy long, the chairs were hard and uncomfortable. I had shorts on and had to sit on my sweater because the seat was so uncomfortable causing pain to the backs of my legs. We ordered our cocktails and they arrived quickly, they were fine, not particularly exciting. We moved to the balcony edge table and were switched servers. We asked for water and watched the table seated after us recieve their cocktails and we still hadnt gotten a glass of water. My partner had to go up to the bar and ask for water himself because we had waited so long, and after he sat back down and we got our water from Tyler (thank you!) Our waitress brought water for the table next to us shortly after we finally got ours. We placed our orders and someone else brought our food, and we hadnt even taken a bite before our waitress asked if everything was prepared fine and tasted good. The burger was incredibly lack luster, the double patty doesnt make up for the lack of flavor. And shockingly was not even asked how we wanted it prepared. I could get a better burger from in-n-out for less than half the cost. As we ate we listened to our waitress give so much time and attention to the table next to us who she seemed more than happy to be attentive to, and was even offering to provide them with food items not on the menu. I am certain they were provided far better service than we got. No water refills, $130 bill before we tipped. For 2 cocktails and two burgers. Take it from me, save your money an go anywhere else. This is not a place I will be returning, try any other restraurant at any other Ritz.
