Zabb Thai & Sushi is a popular spot in Davie known for its varied menu and good food quality. Customers rave about the sushi and the duck on fire. The restaurant is also appreciated for being open on holidays.
Tip: The restaurant is very busy, so plan accordingly. Take out service is well organized.
Delicious food, good portions. The sushi chef gave us little amuse bouche (making mine vegetarian, which I thought was super nice). Service was wonderful. Not a super fancy place but surely great for a nice family meal spot or a weeknight date night!
What a Thai and sushi experience! We found this place by accident and never regretted it.Now it's our go to Thai restaurant when visiting the area. Since we are from Connecticut. THE FOOD reminded us of a quaint Thai restaurant on Hollywood Blvd California where we dined often.Hats of to the chef and gang!!! .Our server ! gosh we did not get her name. She was adorable.yet so damn nice and motherly.Wow what service. Food and restaurant for us 5 stars all the way!! Server 10 + stars. The dishes are so much.its worth the price. See you on our return..Thank you. John.Ruth
I go here almost weekly for their Spicy Beef Salad!! 10/10 food and service 💯
I always love coming here, but lately I've noticed that the pad Thai and combination fried rice taste a bit different. It makes me wonder if there's a new cook in the kitchen. The food quality is still great, and the ambiance and service remain exceptional. It's such a lovely place to enjoy lunch or dinner, and I truly appreciate the warm atmosphere. I hope things return to the way they were because this spot has always held a special place in my heart.
The food is really great. The service was on point. I really liked the environment. Would love come to come here more often. This place is set for hype.
Service was awesome and food was amazing. We had 5 different rolls.
Very buzzy lunch hour! Great service and delicious food with a salad bar included for lunch.
FANTASTIC. The wonton soup is an absolute *must.* Expansive menu with reasonable prices. Absolutely fantastic food and quick service. We enjoy pretty spicy food and medium spice was perfect. I think that anything hotter would be difficult to enjoy. The portions were large. Food is as described. Probably some of the best, if not the best, Thai food I’ve ever had. Highest recommendation!
Very solid sushi and Thai restaurant! Their menu has sushi dishes, Thai classics and some unique dishes too. The salmon belly nigiri was especially delicious! If you order your food spicy be ready for a lot of heat, they use a lot of chili pepper, so choose your spice level accordingly. The dishes are very flavorful!
This place never disappoints. Lately the al a carte sushi has been my go to. But this many maguro roll HIT THE SPOT. I also love their Spicy Miso Ramen, their Beef and Chicken Thai rice, their Hamachi Rock’n Roll, and their Pad Thai. Consistently good food.
Great food. Great service. Great local sushi Thai place!!
Food was absolutely delicious. Service was efficient and fast. We had a great first time and will definitely come back! I high recommend this Thai restaurant in Davie.
I eat a lot of Thai locally in the DFW area and they all pretty much are the same. Good food, but not great. Traveling for work, we decided on Thai and thankfully, Thai Thyme which was right next to our client's office was unexpectedly closed, forcing us to find Zabb. We all unanimously agreed Zabb was GREAT. Every thing we ordered was delicious. Sushi, spring rolls, red curry, basil leave stir fry, and pad thai, all perfectly executed. Service was good, just forgot a couple things, but easily overlooked. If I am traveling that way again, I am definitely revisiting!
The sushi was delicious; definitely want to come back another time!
Have heard many good things about Zabb over the past few years, and finally decided to have some food delivered. I called for a delivery and they directed me to Uber Eats. Some times when ordering via a delivery service the food arrives a bit under temp, but not with Zabb. The timing was impeccable. The soup was still very hot, and my pad Thai noodles were perfectly temped. The flavor across the board was delicious. Zabb can consider me a guaranteed return customer.
This place is open. Certain menu items are phenomenal. The drinks are w Sake. The service is excellent.
Great food and very friendly staff. Food comes swiftly and is always delicious.
I’ve visited this restaurant twice and plan to keep coming back. So far, I’ve tried their sushi, curry, stir fry, salads, and desserts and all have been delicious, and I love that they serve generous portions. I’m excited to explore more of the menu. My only suggestion would be to offer reservations, as it can get quite busy
Amazing! There is not a thing on the menu that isn't delicious. A gem in the heart of Davie. The staff is also very friendly, and the dining experience is amazing from beginning to end. Impressive and extensive menu and each dish is executed perfectly. They do spicy right, so go down a scale from what you're used to if you're sensitive. Their medium is an American hot. Great for those looking for spicy food!
Amazing service and sushi! We were a big group, so we ordered the Titanic sushi boat and a lobster roll along with pad see ew, rainbow rolls, pineapple fried rice, and more. Everything was so good and you could taste the quality and freshness of the fish. LOVE this place and would come back!
This sushi spot is always busy — and for good reason. The menu is extensive, the sushi is consistently fresh, and the quality never slips, no matter how crowded it gets. Despite the rush, the staff keeps everything running smoothly. We’ve never had an issue with service, food, or accuracy — the only challenge is sometimes getting a table during peak hours. But honestly, that’s a sign of how good this place really is. Overall, it’s a reliably great restaurant and one we’re happy to keep coming back to.
The absolute best experience! Mary is great & only in to be the best server on Tuesdays & Fridays! She is so lovely & sweet! She made my BIRTHDAY Soo much more special.
The restaurant was very busy but it was worth the wait on the food! The food was affordable, fairly large, and delicious! My favorite part of the Pad Thai with beef was how extremely tender the beef was. The Pad Thai flavor was different from the peanuty sauce that I am used to, rather it was a redder and sweet paste like gochujang (?). It still tasted delicious, but I hadn't expected it. The $3 Thai tea was one of my favorite, ended getting two! One of the sushi dish with the raw fish, mango, and crispy bits was AMAZING! The dishes here are truly unique like the scallops even if they weren't my preference. I still appreciated the plating and flavor of everything. I plan to come back.
One of my favorite Thai/Japanese restaurants in Davie/Plantation/Ft.Lauderdale/Sunrise vicinity. The sushi chefs make very creative (and delicious) dishes. Tuna Taro Nachos, Kawahagi, and various sushi rolls are the favorites. Some in our party love the Thai RAW shrimp appetizer. Definitely an acquired taste which makes Zabb all the more special. Unique dishes to pique everyone's interest.
Because of covid we ordered Togo and I got to tell you, their food is delicious! Always delicious and I highly recommended to everyone! This restaurant is always busy so please do reservations if you want to eat inside! Please LIKE and FOLLOW me to be up to date on great places like Zane Thai & Sushi. Parking at this restaurant is always a challenge because they are always busy so you can find parking by the bank or use the shopping center parking spots they are plenty!
This Thai restaurant is delicious. I has the pineapple fried rice and I loved it! Great atmosphere and service. Very highly recommended!
Great Sushi lunch! Ordered one of the lunch specials (B3) which included the soup and salad bar. The soup (chicken noodle) was great as was the salad and the fried wontons. The bento box was great too! The fish was all very fresh and the spring roll was crispy and non-greasy. All the portions were ample. The staff was friendly and attentive. Good value for the money! I will be returning as this was my first time at this place.
Omg, this place is amazing! The servers are so polite and on point! The food is top quality and reasonably priced. I love this place! I'll never understand the South Florida connection between Thai and Japanese food but this place knocks it out of the ballpark! Go for lunch, great prices and you'll leave feeling full and satisfied!
We ordered salmon belly roll, eel jalapeño roll and pork jerky. The food was delicious! I wish I took pictures. Service is amazing and very efficient. Tables constantly getting cleared. My cup was never empty.
Super fresh and great tasting sushi rolls. That's all we tried... way too many options on the menu that looked really good. We also were plate watching as the servers walked by and it and it all looked good. Servers are there at every turn cleaning up and checking on you. CC the owner was super nice and checked up on everyone. Definitely coming back to try the Thai food.
One of my top go to for sushi and thai food. Very welcoming enviroment. Big variety of food ive had almost everything here and its delicious. From the sashimi sampler to lobster roll to regular rolls. Fried rice and noodles. I love that their fried rice comes w pineapples and walnuts. Def recomend thai donuts w vanillas ice cream. Def one of the best spots in the area
I got spicy miso with pork belly an order of calamari and mango sticky rice for dessert. It was great! The ramen egg was beautifully cooked and with great taste. The mango sticky rice was AMAZING. The dining staff all work together very well making the experience very smooth. The cooks behind the counter were all very friendly when I asked a couple allergy questions as well. Great experience.
Amazing COVID-19 protocols in place! Temperature taking upon entry, no mask no service and they give you hand sanitizer upon entry. Each table is six feet apart and still has a welcoming ambiance. We enjoyed everything, ordering alcoholic beverages, appetizers, entree and dessert - we were completely full. Great dining experience; highly recommended
I have been there 3 times now and this is an excellent Thai / Sushi restaurant. The service is good. The food is excellent. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere. It's a little hard to find but people are finding it. The prices are a little higher than other places but the quality is worth it.
This place is 10 stars. Today was my first time eating Thai food. We had a party of 8 and everybody’s food was delicious! Service was phenomenal and they give you so much food! Well worth the money!
Just had Tom Yung Gong and Squid Pad Thai...This is one of the best Thai meal I've had in South Florida. The food was great, service was awesome, and the value phenomenal. I will be going back again...again...and again!
Davie, Florida.
English Excellent and very busy place, the food is good, the take out service work with nice organization.
Good lunch value with specials around $15 that include access to a weekday self-serve bar (salad, fried bites, rotating soup). Service was quick as I only had time for one bar trip before food arrived. The soup was tasty, though I wasn’t big on the salad or fried items. My favorite dish from the bento was the Pad Thai and the sashimi seemed fresh. However, the chicken satay was just okay. Make sure to get the Thai Tea! It was genuinely so delicious. The ambiance is very chill and relaxing, they play a sort of jazz rendition of popular songs. Probably a nice area to chill with friends and it’s right off the highway.
ALL the food was great, many of the dishes tasted fresh (most seafood dishes and the sashimi) while their fried rice, pad thai, and chicken satay (skewers) had an adequate umami flavor. Their friendly staff which were very kind, however there was a man cleaning plates from our table and not bothering to ask if we were finished with our food.
This place was a delicious lunch treat during a long workday. I just missed the lunch salad/soup bar. The customer service was impeccable. The Basil tofu and charred salmon on rice was delicious. Looking forward to trying this place again and seeing how the pas see ew tastes.
Friday nite this place was busy with people waiting for a table. We ordered take out. Service was very friendly. Everything we ordered was decent except the jumping shrimp that wasnt worth it. The soups were tasty. The beef in the pad thai was a bit tough. Stick to the chicken lol
Another first time restaurant that was actually good. Tar was our waitress and she offered suggestions, never let our glasses empty and prepared our leftovers to bring home. The garlic Edemame was served hot but could of used more sauce but still tasty. The other dishes were Massaman Curry Chicken, Red Curry Chicken and Chicken Teriyaki. Both served hot, fresh with tender chicken and vegetables. The medium may be spicy for some but still very good. The chicken teriyaki was served with a tasty sauce, fresh hot crispy vegetables and tender chicken. This is my second favorite Thai restaurant, Thai House in NMB is tops so far.
Went here for a date night with hubby and the sushi was out of this world! We had the mango madura and spicy tuna roll with a sake mojito. We also had the miso soup and ginger dressing but we were so hungry we never took a picture hahaaa. The only thing is that we were forgot about. We sat at the bar and kept looking for our waitress because we were basically finished but we totally understand that it got busy after we arrived but she was no where to be found. We will be back though because the food was really good and we loved how friendly everyone was.
Ordered the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) to go. Received the order and noticed all the rice noodles were were mushed, no shape, worst of all, pork was raw… nevertheless taste was good. Called the restaurant to explain the situation and they were very helpful and apologetic. They made a new dish and gave us a free dessert for the troubles going back to the restaurant. Unfortunately noodles were again, mushed, but pork was fully cooked. I only dinged one star because of the noodles, the service and attitude of the restaurant was great, they owned the problem and made it right. That’s great customer service which really counts nowadays
Always love Zabb; food is fresh, flavorful, and service is attentive. We noticed that the last couple of times the portions are smaller than they were even with increasing the prices.
Parking here is tricky. The food is good quality and priced well for the portion sizes. The interiors is OK resembling more an open seat g Tmosphere than a sit down restaurant. The openess and the sea of tables make it quite noisy, if this is somewhere you take some one for. Conversation. The speed of service and food is rather quick. We ordered an appetizer, and 2 entres and both came quickly and I. The right order. However, don't expect quality service since this is a high volume restaurant and the staff does not match the quality of food. Overall. Quality of food 7/10, ambient 4/10, service 4/10, parking 4/10.
I stopped by to get some take out sushi and was surprised how busy this restaurant was. The staff is super friendly considering how long the line was waiting for tables. I'm glad I was just doing take out. I had called my order in before I arrived and had it within 10 minutes of walking through the door. The food was very good. They've done a good job with the interior and we intend to go back and dine in.
Good food but my only complaint would be too much lime used in my pad Thai. That’s why you should just stick with putting a lime on the side so customers can add it themselves.
Been here many times for lunch and dinner. Staff is friendly and so welcoming. Today we stopped by for lunch. Ordered B1 comes with chicken pad thai, edamae, soup, chicken satay and a few pieces of sashimi. A lot of food for your buck and it was yummy. My daughter ordered wonton soup and it never disappoints. Love the fried garlic on top makes the soup smell so good! Thai iced tea is fantastic it's a must when we come. Great place!
My friend and I went for a date. The food was absolutely amazing, Tom kha reminded me a bit of Thailand it was beyond delish. Personally the Pad Thai was not my favorite, the flavors didn’t harmonize with my palate, but my friend loved it. Everything else including the sushi 🍣, fried rice and tobiko was perfect!!
Ordered the small yellowtail roll, and the Tom Kha (coconut lemongrass) soup, and the mango sticky rice dessert. My friend for the pineapple fried rice with shrimp. The yellowtail roll was simple, just the fish, which was tender and delicious. It was perfect. And basic. The soup was good. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but tasty. There was a LOT of chicken, which was nice 🙂. The pineapple fried rice was too greasy, and didn't have enough pineapple flavor, or pineapple. The mango sticky rice was the most lackluster dessert special. I've had some incredible expressions of this dessert. But all they did was slice a mango, which was overripe and had a funky aftertaste, and plopped down a half a cup of sticky rice next to it, and added some black and white sesame seeds. Not exactly creative genius, and definitely not delicious. Overall, the menu is quite large, and the staff is friendly, but not engaging. The ambiance is cool and dark, not romantic, more of a bar vibe. The prices were extremely reasonable, and you absolutely get what you pay for. The pineapple fried rice was a gigantic serving! Definitely enough for 2 meals. (Sorry no photo)
We went on a Saturday evening, having booked a table for 6 pm, so there was no waiting for a table. It did get very busy as the evening progressed. We mainly had Sushi which was of very good quality. To drink we had Japanese beer and plum wine, by the way there was an actual plum in the bottom of the wine glass, a nice touch. The food arrived promptly and was well presented. The service was excellent, very attentive. There is a lot of parking available. They do have WIFI, but you need to ask for the password. There are only 2 toilets, one male, one female, so you may need to wait in line. They were clean and a nice touch of burning candles, well at least there was in the male toilet. There is what looks like a bar you can sit at, but we didn't use it so not going to comment. They have high chairs for young children, not at the bar lol. All in all a very nice experience, no complaints whats so ever. Fully recommend the Sushi side of things. Looking across at other tables the Thai hot meals looked very good. we will definitely be going again.
So this was an interesting experience. Before the check, we had ok service, she was nice but not over the top helpful or bubbly. But the prices and food were incredible. So so tasty and portions were great. Butttttt then the bill came. I had $3 cash to tip, but we were going to tip on card too cause $3 would be a lousy tip. We put the three in the folder while she took the card and misunderstood, thinking we were only going to tip $3... She came back and being petty and rude said we could just "keep our bad tip if we wanted" because she would rather no tip than a bad one, and then she circled the part of the check that showed how much each percentage would be. This is incredibly inappropriate for a food service worker to say to guests. If anything she should have asked why we tipped that much or clarified if that was all the tip would be. Really turned a great experience into a bad one.
Delivery order arrived hot and packaged well. I ordered the crispy garlic prawns and the Tom Kha soup with chicken. The prawns were huge with a tempura batter on a bed of steamed veggies with the garlic sauce on the side. The shrimp themselves were quite delicious. The sauce, however ,was lacking flavor. As for the soup, it had a nice kick to it the ,but, the chicken was somewhat dry.
Food was good but the thing I don’t like about that restaurant was staff. One of employe who took our order first she was very good to us but in the end she came to me asked about tip like she literally told me that you have to give more tip so rude I don’t like it
It was a decent place to go, but it was nothing special, and it was still kind of pricey. The sushi boat only came with a salad OR soup. Salad and soups are super cheap for restraunts to provide, and there should be some consideration of both being served. I also had the beef pad thai, which was pretty yummy. I'm not a big fan of the sushi.
We tried this place, it was a late lunch early dinner. The staff are friendly. I have to go over the menu we decided to order a few sushi rows and asked if they could come to the table one of the time . After only with seemed maybe 5 to 10 minutes all of the sushi rolls came out together , we have never been to sushi place where they can make sushi rolls that fast . The presentation of the sushi rolls, lacked, something to be desired, and even though we got 4 different rolls, they all tasted the same . I can only think that this place is what I would call. Takeout sushi. . I was disappointed.
I've ordered from Zab Thai several times through DoorDash, but the quality has become consistently disappointing. My most recent order arrived with chicken satay that was both tough and cold, and the accompanying peanut sauce is always far too sweet. Additionally, the kimchi sauce—which they charge extra for—is consistently watered down and lacks flavor. The takeout experience is also poorly managed; they never include soy sauce or the small dipping cups needed for sushi. It’s a major hassle to enjoy a sushi order when basic essentials are missing. For the price and the extra fees, I expected much better quality and attention to detail.
Went into order takeout and was ignored by the person at the front desk. She kept picking up the phone and taking orders while making me wait every time it rang. Terrible customer service. Would not go back or recommend
We ordered takeout on busy Friday night. Ordered pineapple fried rice and vegetable roll. The pineapple rice had not a single pineapple piece neither had any flavor of pineapple. Only oil onion and tofu. No flavors nothing. I’d asked twice to pack chilli sauce on side but they didn’t give any. The vegetable roll was made as per instructions and was good and flavorful. I’d probably not order to go from here again. May visit in person once after pandemic is over.
This is the third and final time I'm ordering Uber delivery from your restaurant. Every time we order, a meal is missing. We don't have these issues with other restaurants. We will not be ordering here anymore.
I ordered a delivery of pad thai with chicken, it looks beautiful. But when you try this dish, it is not pad thai at all, but noodles with ketchup and chicken. If you want real pad thai or something similar, I do not recommend wasting your money on this dish at all. Since there is no real sauce for pad thai, they use regular ketchup and it is noticeable. Disappointing, tasteless
Just had the most disappointing take out order. I had specifically paid extra to add avocado and spicy mayo to 2 salmon rolls. Unfortunately they took the money($2 per roll upcharged), but did not add avocado or spicy mayo on either roll. The rolls were rolled poorly, and the seaweed was so tough I couldn't chew it so I ended up just eating the salmon out of the roll. The shrimp tempura roll was so dense, it was not enjoyable. Overall this was a very disappointing dinner. Especially with the prices they charge.
They took my money from an online order they told me they never received. They said I would be getting a refund by the end of the day. And instead they took the money instead and have not returned any of my calls. I feel like I’ve been robbed. I want my money back please this is absurd and a horrible way to do business. Especially for me a returning customer that has come for years.
