Genessis is always so wonderful and provides excellent customer service!

My wife and kids took me here for Father's Day breakfast. Food was great, and served quickly! The server, Genesis, was very cheerful, energetic, and clearly enjoys interacting with the customers. Great way to start our day!!

I had Big steak omelet and upgrade the side to a NY cheesecake pancake. The omelet is awesome, but the pancake is not as good as I expected, as the chucks of cheesecake isn’t much in there.

The food was extra tasty tonight and Genesis was a great, friendly server. Genesis, great job.

We just had a wonderful breakfast at IHOP. However the most impressive thing was the staff. In particular our waitress Genesis was stellar. She was prompt, courteous and even made recommendations. Thank you Gen!! Highly recommend Cinnastack too :)

Besides IHOP being the tasty pancake house we all know, what made my visit there so special was my server! Her name was Genesis, Gen for short, and she had the most welcoming personality and tone, with service like that I will definitely be showing up more often. Our food came out quickly, we got greatly timed refills, and I certainly got deluxe service with my order of deluxe cinna-stack pancakes!

Jen was an absolute pleasure! When we go again, we hope to have her. Every time she visited our table, she was so bright and cheery. Our hostess Lexi greeted us warmly and made a thoughtful connection with us during the short walk to our table. The service was extraordinary!

Our server Genesis was absolutely wonderful, she has a great smile and service that cheered my day! I ordered the pot roast and it was tender and delicious. We got the order exactly how we requested, nothing missing which is always nice. Thanks again Genesis for the great service and meal experience!

I was literally starving my ass off, and Genesis out of nowhere. Literally used her super powers ,and in thin air my French toast combo appeared in front of me.(I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO TELL HER WHAT I WANTED!?!?) I was amazed, but meanwhile all the sudden a baby started crying loudly. She flew over to their table with a bottle appearing in thin air.(LIKE HOW DOES SHE DO IT?!?!?) Then she saved that baby from starving to death. While cradling that baby and feedingthem with one hand. She was still bringing orders from the kitchenwith her other! Truly the most spontaneous woman I've ever witnessed. If she were to run for president I would vote for her. Honestly a 10/10 experience i would trust this woman with my life!!!

Genesis was Amazing! We came in with8 people. 6 minors and she didn’t skip a beat! Great service great attitude! 10s hands down!!

Came here in between soccer games. It is hands down the best IHOP I’ve ever been to. Service was outstanding! Sofia and Lexi are super sweet. Breakfast was really, really good. Bathrooms were very clean. Just a very good experience for our family of 5! Thank you IHOP if Davis.

I can heartily recommend the split decision breakfast, but it is a lot of food. We will definitely be going back soon.

I really enjoy coming to this Davis iHOP! The food is consistently delicious, the service is very fast and friendly, and all the staff know how to make it feel like home each time I come. I get to see Genesis a lot, and really enjoy getting to catch up with her every time I do. She’s so efficient, competent and personable, I’m always impressed by her attention to detail and strong work ethic. Thank you so much for your service! One of my favorite things to get is the Thick and Fluffy French Toast, the strawberry banana one. Definitely a treat!

It was surprisingly busy for lunch time but we were seated quickly and taken care of quickly as well. Genessis, our server, was very attentive and quick with refills and provided a very pleasant time. Definitely would return for lunch solely for that and our server.

The food and service were good.

We went on xmas eve, so we had low expectations. But our server was very nice and on top of things. It was a little busy in there, but the food was still great. The only complaint was my dad's toast was cold and a little hard. But overall, good 👍

Good 24 hour service, even with a group of 30+ the servers were polite and we all got our food quickly. The food itself was what you would expect from a fast food joint, and I would not recommend the iced tea, as it is watered down syrup. Still, good fast service, so 4/5

Really happy with this place. I take my mother there on occasion and the senior specials are a steal. Coffee is okay. Service has always been friendly. Burgers are better than fast food. Their menu is more straight forward that Denny's. Can be very busy for Sunday brunch, if it is too busy, go to Carl's Jr. nextdoor or Cindy's off Mace.

Me and my two boys (2 and 4) came here for father's day breakfast. We waited approximately 10 minutes when we were told it would be a 20 minute wait. They seated us towards the back corner where I felt that my boys were more at ease to be little boys. We were promptly greeted by our waiter Leo who brought us drinks and left a coffee thermos on the table for me to refill as needed. It was approximately 15 minutes before we received our food order. My strawberry banana French toast was a little light on the strawberry and bananas but Leo brought out some more to compensate. My boys food was as expected and they ate every last bit of it so I assumed it tasted good. I asked for over medium eggs with my order and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I wanted an extra two slices of French toast added to the order but instead he wrote it differently which actually cost me more. So I will ask to have the check change and see how that goes. Overall very great place to eat vo is an excellent waiter and I would definitely come here again.

Very friendly wait staff. Food is generous portions and very reasonably priced. The menu has a little bit for everybody including tacos hamburgers all day breakfast senior specials desserts etc.

A really friendly place.... A good variety of food (it's not all pancakes here; they are a good choice for entrees too) and helpful staff who always smile, even when they are really busy!

The food is average at best, but my friends and I come to this location for the amazing service. There is a waitress with the sweetest voice that makes you feel right at home. Everyone is great here! It’s a cool spot, don’t expect A1 food though

Staff was nice and friendly. Everything that we ordered came out to perfection. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was delicious. Not over cooked or fried like I've experienced at other places. Our waitress was so nice and professional we had to leave her a nice tip. Definitely coming back here again for breakfast one day soon.

Only good thing was the service and parking. The server was super nice but not hovering which i appreciate made me and my family feel right at home. Ordered the breakfast sampler ham was dry my scrambled eggs were bland,bacon was a lil over cooked hash browns and pancakes were the only satisfying part.

Well, slightly disappointed this morning with breakfast. Thought it would be fun to go out and try a spot we normally don't go to. Went with the biscuits and gravy. Excited to have it arrive at the table. Unfortunately, the gravy was cold. When i say cold, i mean refrigerator cold. The cold gravy made the sausage links cold. Had to send it back. Our waiter was awesome. Took care of the problem and took care of us. Prevented a one star review. Will go back and give it another try.

The pancakes and omelet were ok, but the T-bone steak was absolutely terrible.

Cooks seem to have consistent problems with eggs (unless you agree with the cooks that over medium eggs should still have runny whites), and they try to burry overcooked eggs with massive toppings on/in their omelet.

Love IHOP but this was not one of the good ones, the food was not great, and the waiter stated they had no hazelnut creamers only vanilla cause they were out but the other tables were receiving them. I had to ask another waitress for some and even she said that was the last of them which I am sure was another lie, smh. It was loud since there were children at the table next to us but other than that it was mainly the bad service I did not like.

Terrible food, service was pretty bad too. Terrible food is sort of to be expected, it's IHOP ffs. I don't really fault the servers much for the service, they're incredibly overworked and understaffed. They forgot a bunch of stuff that I had to remind them about but I still tipped 18%, it's a hard life and I blame corporate 100%. Stunningly geriatric atmosphere. The food tasted better a month ago when I was too high to walk, and it was still kinda bad. Find a different place for a hangover/pre move breakfast.

This IHOP location was in need of some work. All the lights on the front of the building were out. Could not see the sign. Some of the lights in the parking lot were also out. Just feels a little unsafe when the parking lot is pretty dark when the sun goes down. The serving staff was also very short staffed. There was only one server and she was trying very hard but just could not keep up. I had to end up getting up and walking over to ask for water after she said she would return with some but got too tied up with other tables and I could never get her attention after several attempts. Same thing when asking for a box for left overs. Had to walk over and ask for a box after waiting 10 minutes for her to bring it to us. Couldn't blame her as I saw her running around the entire time we were there. They just need more staff. On the plus side, the dining area was clean and our food tasted good. It was unfortunate that the outside seemed to need work and the they were understaffed so serverice was not good.

We ordered one menu that comes with Pancake and we were not that hungry and thats why we ordered one menu. The food was good as usual. We asked another plate to share and it comes with dirty condition; it looks like some food was plated and removed after so there was moisture and oils on it. I asked to change it and the waiter was asking why with serious face. Its okay to ask why but her face attitude cant be serviced to customers in general. I was disappointed at servers and when we got to pay, other tables paid seated, we paid in the front desk. I don't see why was there difference but this is not a deal. I used to enjoy iHop, i would rather not have meals there anymore. (just wanted to share my experience, done take it hateness)

first time to this location & I'm never going back for food. I ordered breakfast and brought it home. the pancakes were so-so but the turkey bacon was not fully cooked, the hashbrowns were so salty it was gross, and the eggs tasted nasty... like they were bad before they were cooked. I then tried my biscuits and gravy... watered down gravy that looked like watery grits GROSS. NOT IMPRESSED IHOP you've declined over the years 😔 not recommending this location. save yourself the pain and money..go to Black Bear, buy something at that crepes place, just NO ihop.

Our waiter did an amazing job on keeping us updated on our food loved the attention. But the food came out cold it wasn't hot it was only the plate. Compared to other ihops this might be one of the worst ihops in my opinion. Our waiter was great just the food wasn't met to our expectations.

Understaffed. Slow slow service. Ordered to go twice - once when it was busy and again when it was almost empty. Still had to wait an additional 30 minutes for food after I arrived both times. Even if I ate in, the man in line to pay waited 10 minutes just to pay. Also apple juice to go cost $6!!!! Also, in to go order missing strawberries from cinnabon crepe but I still had to pay full price.

Plz be careful my card has been overcharged a completely ridiculous amount!!!! Our receipt showed Genesis as our waitress terrible will not be coming back.

Went in for breakfast with the family. Waitress was extremely helpful and nice. Our order took longer then expected which is to be expected on a Saturday. Reason for the one star is, one of our items never made it. A table next us ordered the same item and got it before we did and they came in way after we did. We decided to get up and leave. Manager had to void order and re enter to take off thet item. No apology from him and did not even aknowledge us. Worst manager I've encountered.

I came here with me and my kids , our server NOEL got our order wrong . There was butter on our waffles when we asked for no butter . And he gave us something completely different when my son asked for chicken tenders. Noel spoke over me when I was telling him the order was wrong . Argued that I was wrong and kept repeating his version of events . Noel was was very rude and ruined our breakfast.

Completely awful service.... don't bet on getting any food here. We were seated. No one took our drink order. Didn't even get water! After 15 looong minutes we got up and walked out!!!!! So I can't comment on the food....umm, never got the chance to enjoy it

I hade not eaten all day and went ihop after checking store hours on their website and it said 24 hours. Once I arrived the signs and multiple banners said 24 hours and there was no one their and no sign of it being open, I called a diffrent ihop and they said some stores say 24 hours when they are only open until 10pm. I’m very upset

Giant sign on the window says $7 biscuit sandwich with side. I ordered 2 of them for me and my coworker and was charged $14 each. I asked about being charged double, and the waitress told me, "That sign is old." I asked the waitress why the sign was still up, whe just said in an apologetic way "my manager" with a shoulder shrug and a tone that told me she had definitely had had this conversation multiple times. I made a complaint on ihops website, the "district manager" called me and was very nice. They assured me the manager of this location would be calling me to rectify the situation. They never did and to be honest, I'm not surprised I won't be going back to this location.

Horrible customer service....i waited an hour outside for my order and then I had to go inside to pickup my curbside order that was just sitting under a heat lamp for I don't know how long. then when I left I opened up the bag and I had no eating utensils or condiments. I also ordered a sweet tea and received a plain tea. this location was not busy at the time. just a really bad experience that day. oof!!

If it was possible to give this place negative 10 stars I would post it now! What an unorganized, slow and unclean place! We arrived before the lunch crowd and right after breakfast. It was slow with only four tables occupied. We were seated quickly with the waiter stating "I'll be right back for your drink order." We waited 10 minutes before placing our drink order. There were five wait staff that day so why the delay. Then another 10 minutes to take the food order. Oh did I mentioned the entire time the staff of five were standing there discussing loudly which tables they wanted to work. Then a crowd of people entered and the staff was on the move to take orders. My party of TWO waited for a refill of our drinks and no food insight for 39 minutes at this point. At 45 minutes later there was no food insight with a simple order of their $4.99 advertised special. Not a complicated order for the delay. The next thing my husband and I noticed the five new tables had drinks followed by there food order. What is happening here.? At this point we asked where is our food? The wait staff stated its coming. "Why what's wrong?" We stood up to leave at this point it's now 70 minutes we have been there with NO FOOD. Everyone else is served but us! They asked "why are you leaving it's coming up soon?" Then a quick apology as she walked away without looking at us! My loud statement was "no you're not or you wouldn't of walk away without caring." STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE...THEY MUST BE SELECTIVE WHEN SERVING THEIR PATRONS WITHOUT CAUSE!!!

Worse experience ever at any restaurant. We were group of 16 and went for Christmas breakfast. Our order were all messed up. We had to send a sandwich order back 3 times to get what we ordered. Side orders were missed for 6 of our orders. The server named Kent was so rude. He yelled at us and kids. Since we went in a big group we were sitting at three different tables. He started yelling at us without prior warning or anything. Our kids were sitting at separate table and they were all busy with electronics, not making any noise at all and he yelled at our kids too. VERY VERY RUDE. He was total jerk.

This place is so bad. Went in for lunch and everything was fine till we got our food (big brunch burger and classic bacon cheeseburger). It came out with 2 patty on it when both of us just order 1 patty no extras. We had to tell them we didn’t order extra patty’s on any burger to change it 5 times before they finally took off the 2 extra burgers of the check. They had so much Attitude when they took the check finally to change it. Server will try to scam you by adding extra stuff. Just go to Denny’s.

Came here because the other breakfast stop in town had a line. Told the wait was 20 mins for a table, got one in 10, was looking good. Waitress came to take our order ten minutes later. We waited 45 minutes for our food. No drink refills, no explanation, then tables around us that had arrived after us started getting their food. Stopped the head waiter to ask the issue and was assured there had been a "major backup" but your ticket is next. Watched fourteen or fifteen GrubHub orders go out the door, still no refills or food, walked out with three other tables after an hour. Oh, and the ice machine was broken so all the drinks were warm AND we couldn't get water or refills. Horrible experience. Won't be back.

We sat there for 30 minutes before even being approached by anyone only to be "greeted" by a rude waitress with a nose ring who offered no kind of apology for the wait. She wasn't paying attention as I was trying to place my order & often cut me off or interrupted me while I was speaking to my husband regarding his order choosing to speak over me rather than letting me place his order. 2 simple dishes with no substitutions took ANOTHER 30 minutes to prepare. Ridiculous wait for ridiculous service. Will not be going back to this location.

Terrible service. Waitress Sol forgot a drink,failed to bring sweetener for our coffee and tea. No napkins. Had to ask for syrup even though ordering pancakes it's common sense to bring it. My daughter ordered the strawberry crepe and had lifted her crepe up and a small bug flew out of her food. Had to ask for butter with toast. Coffee was not fresh and not hot.

Just got takeout from there and it was a pretty icky experience. First off, the music in the lobby was at a volume that should only be played when there are no customers in the store. Secondly, no one greeted us at the door. I waited for almost two minutes before I was approached to take my order and the guy (I’m assuming he was a manager) was abrupt and rude. Finally, my food was overcooked. They couldn’t even get my order of waffles and pancakes right. They smelled burnt and were dry. Never again. The building should be condemned and the franchise should be run out of town.

Horrible service. Took 20 minutes to order drinks and placed an order for food at the same time the server came. After 1 hour we had no food. Spoke to the manager and he said he’d rush the order. It was not busy. Terrible service and management of this place. DO NOT recommend.

To Gabriel R our server, thank you for providing an unpleasant, dismissive and lack of customer service environment for us. Gabriel was extremely racist because the way he treated me(Asian) and my boyfriend( Hispanic) way different than other customers. We didn’t get any REFILL on our drinks, and we been asking for water and he continued to ignore us by pretending to be busy. There were only 5 tables, and he has helpers for him to bust and bring out the food. I am a server myself, and sometimes I can relate to having a bad day at work or just simply busy, but I know I survive on tips, so I usually have or even fake good attitude towards my customers. For him, he looked at us 7 times, and he sees we clean the table for him, if you are not mentally disabled you would noticed that we are finished we would like the bill. But he ignored us the whole time, I even got up and asked and he still ignored us. I don’t know what we did to upset him so much that he had to treat us this way. Overall bad experience and ruined our mood. In this economy, with that attitude you would never make anything far. A phrase my manger gave to our employees, “If you need this job, so work it like you need it”.

At the beginning of entry and being taken to our table the environment was very mellow and calm until a big group of college students came in 20+ very loud and not mindful of their surroundings to the point were you could not hear the next person sitting next you to talk . We asked the lead waitress/manager if we could be taken to a different table due to the noise level since there was an infant and a toddler with an IEP, waitress responds was “the other side is not clean and can not move you to another table” disregarding our validation of atmosphere. I don’t believe I need to fully explain myself of my child’s IEP for someone to understand on why I would please like to be sat elsewhere. I understand when you go out to eat there is small talk and some what noise around you but that was too extreme in noise level and very disrespectful because this a family friendly restaurant to enjoy a calm meal not a frat house party. Great food time management just the manager needs some better customer service because the point of going out is being able to enjoy your time and them make your experience enjoyable so you can go back again with family but that was not situation/experience this time.

Took my dad out for breakfast and had such a horrible experience. When we got there it was quite busy but were seated within 10 minutes so seating time wasn’t bad. Unfortunately after getting our order taken, it still took them over 30 minutes to bring our food out. We were a small party but yet we observed parties that got seated after us as well as had more people get their food first. Service was horrible, trust me! We felt neglected by our server, which we weren’t sure if it was because we were hispanic, or because simply he didn’t like that we expressed our frustration with the wait time, specially since the restaurant was clearing out. Our drinks were empty most of time, only got refilled once, and that was when we complained about the time it was taking for our food to get there. Additionally, when we finally got our food, my father’s T-loin steak was cold and we had to ask them to take it away, and my colorado omelette had no shredded beef and my gravy had pickles mixed in it. Ridiculous. After all the wait and discomfort, our food was still not even worth the wait. Being treated like this at a family oriented restaurant was super unexpected. Don’t think we will ever be coming back. Really hope no one else has this experience.

** OVERCHARGE ALERT CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT - they incorrectly charged me a higher amount than what I put down on the tab. Went to ihop for late night grub. It’s 1 am Saturday morning (11/23/24) and there’s barely anyone eating. Just some group of kids having milkshakes. Took us awhile to be seated and we kept trying to flag someone down. The guy with black curly hair finally seated us , but he had a nasty attitude. Didn’t look us in the eye when we ordered and never offered water or kept tabs on us. Food was alright, it’s ihop what do you expect. Bill came and I wrote down exactly the same amounts on both customer and merchant copy. Checked my credit card statement later that week and found out they charged me more on tip than what I put!! They must have forged the numbers because I kept all my receipts. I sent them to my CC company. My receipt said the waiters name was Nohel Henriquez, ID 0035547 Be careful with the staff there….

5 minutes waiting for a "greeter". there was some kind of un-pleasant odor when seated. Took ten minutes to place the food order, but the person came back w/i 2 minutes of seating us for ordering drinks. There was 2 in my party, and he ordered a hot chocolate, and I ordered a milkshake. Within a minute, (maybe 2) he came back with the hot chocolate only! The order was taking too long for I had 9 miles yet, and less than 30 minutes to be there, so my friend caught the server's ATTN. to tell him "make it to go". Another 5 minutes b4 server brought out to the table, then another 5 minutes for the cashier, I WON'T COME BACK AGAIN! My order, the big breakfast burrito, was pretty much ruined. Some of the hashbrowns were hard, bacon overcooked/hard, the only thing that was good was my shake, but was a child size cup, so I couldn't get my money's worth!

AVOID!!!!!!! HIGH PROBABILITY THEY STOLE MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER. Went to breakfast with my kid, middle of meal guy has a medical emergency and I help out until cops and paramedics show. Big thanks from wife, not a dam thing from the staff. When it comes time to pay I choose a card I've not used in a year, dude disappeared and came back with the receipt and I put a decent tip though I thought they should have comped the meal due to medical emergency kerfuffle and me helping but hey, crap happens. So I use this card not used in over a year and a week later I'm getting my phone blowing up about attempted charges on the same card and they ain't from me. Yeah yeah there chances exist blah blah, but I think this IHOP employs thieves.

Slow service. Me and my son (African American) was seated first and then other people(white) came in 5 minutes after us was served their whole meal and drinks as well…before serving us a glass of water. Bad service. Not coming back.

We just walked out of this Davis location. We arrived party of 5, and we got sat right away. The manager Gabriel took us to a very wet “sanitized” table. I asked him for a napkins to dry it off and he DECLINED. He said the “City” has been on them and that he can’t give me a napkin because it’s part of their sanitation protocol. Our table was drenched so I waived down a waiter and asked them for a napkin because fanning down the table wasn’t working, plus the wet table had crumbs from the previous visitors. Anyways , Gabriel decided to come back and let us know that what his employee did was not right, and that if he wished he could ask us to leave but ye wasn’t going to do it. He also mentioned how the city is very big on sanitation. I told him maybe go coach your team members and accept when you’re wrong and if a guest said the table is too wet you should listen. We had the table next to us share how they had asked for a straw and they said their shipment wasn’t coming until next week, because they heard them telling us they didn’t have straws. The take away here is that maybe instead of coming to school a guest on sanitation, maybe clean your floors, wipe your restaurant and wipe your snappy attitude GABRIEL. It’s so I unfortunate that we won’t consider this IHOP location because of Gabriel’s bad service and just the whole long wait of the other guest next to us who had been there for over 40 minutes. Do better, and IHOP Davis consider a new manager who can coach his team and but his guest needs and concerns first.

I cant stop laughing because the food here was a complete joke lol. I took a group of friends here and when we got our meals it looked like child sized portions. When i saw the bill i was blown away because thats what i would expect to pay at Red Lobster. I am a Big Tipper, so i tipped the waiter who was awesome but i came for the food and left completely amused by the prices being asked for children's food. Lol

Why was my food packaged like this?? My bread is soggy so it went in the trash and the mashed potatoes were thrown on the steak while the steak was on top of the green beans. What type of savagery is this.

Used to order a lot from here. But recently their pancakes got really really bad. I ordered protein powder pancakes. Yet, the taste of these pancakes from the first bite was very unusual ( kind of acidic), the same taste you would get from eating rotten fruits!!! This happened to me twice in a row lately. I am not sure whether it comes from the pancakes themselves or the old fashioned syrup , but I really hope you would fix this

I ordered my food online to pick up at restaurant. After that, I went to the restaurant. They said they gave my food to a DoorDash guy. They gave a wrong bag (my food) to the guy. They were re-making my food. I had to wait for the whole time. Eventually, I got my food. It might not be an every day case that happens to most people. However, with this experience, I cannot give them a good review. I am sorry.

I was dine in on Sep. 20 Friday. I ordered sirloin steak tips as usual. In the middle of my meal, I found broccoli changed color on stem part(picture). I looks like rotten. I asked server(waiter) to find out what it is. Server told me "I'll tell to manager" and gone but never come back to me. I expect server apologize but he never did it.
