State Line Cafe (Under Restoration) Deaf Smith County Reviews
Truck repair shop next door, I walked to nearby cafe. On my way back I’m chatting with my daughter, “look at the kitty” …screenshot of the “bent door and a fox!” That was pretty neat to see, I had no idea how cool of a picture it was going to be.
The Bent Door Cafe is a unique stop on Rt 66. It is no longer in service, and unsafe to enter. It has many features worth stopping for, including seeing the unique bent door and old gas pumps.
great place to visit
El café está cerrado y el recinto desmantelado pero se puede visitar la antigua estación de servicio y la puerts de entrada tan característica que tenía, una pena que no lo conserven porque es una auténtica joya de la Ruta 66.

Cool place. I like to project myself into the past and imagine a better time to live. When I run across places like this I like to explore and stay a while to see and be part of the history that we all wish still existed. Such a dumb idea to put a bent door on a gas station and yet somehow it's exactly the sort of thing that distinguishes this place with it's own identity and serves as the catalyst to ensure its survival. Pure genius. For those of you who know the secret of the bent door... Let it continue to be a surprise for future travelers.
