This is an amazing gem in Delmar! We have high expectations of Thai food and this exceeds all of them and more! My favorite dishes are the yellow curry with chicken and extra veggies, the pho is very good, and my hubby gets the salmon dish. We have eaten in but love doing takeout. I like to call in the orders and I'm so glad to see how much busier they have been lately. I like the spring rolls too, I can't say enough great things🤗❤️❤️❤️

My family and I are big fans of Thai food and we have tried all the places in the capital district. We normally go to one and downtown Albany and have for decades but we decided to give this place a try. The food was so fresh and so well prepared we were surprised. It was a whole new level. I got the Green curry with chicken and vegetables were clearly fresh the seasoning was just right and the chicken was 1st class. We actually ordered again a few nights later just to see if it was going to always be that good... It was!

Excellent food and very friendly service. The nice young lady here was very helpful when I wanted to spice up a meal that many would find spicy without the extra kick. She asked me how much hotter I'd like it on a star scale from 1-5. I went with 3 and it was perfect. A little lingering warmth a few minutes after I finished it but not so hot that it was unpleasant for someone with a good spicy food tolerance. I definitely recommend this place.

This is by far the best Thai I have had in the Capital District. The food is top notch. My only issue is they should be packed and they're not. I have been here twice for dinner and once for take-out. We need to get the word out. Chontong is the best Thai in town. Pad Thai is done perfectly every time. This is mostly a take out place, so if you are planning on dining in, the wait could be long during the dinner rush. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food is very good. What's interesting is that other local Thai restaurants that are more expensive and have a weaker menu seem to get a lot of attention, but they aren't as good as Chontong.

Competently prepared Thai meals in nice surrounding with friendly service. Maybe more familiarity will easily warm u up to this place.

I ordered take out as it’s only 6mins from my home. I got chicken satay, Thai iced tea, and pad se ew. The tea what such a treat! Sweet and delicious. The satay was also good, the chicken was juicy and the peanut sauce for dipping was flavorful. The pad se ew was a little dry for my liking, so I felt the flavor could use a little boost, butttt it was still good.

Dry af $8 tofu with drops of sauce. Supposed to be peanut sauce but they just crushed like 3 peanuts into duck sauce. Rest of the food was mediocre, Pad Thai tasted vinegary. There’s better Thai in town.

I used to get take out here. The food is decent. I just downgraded the review because their web site says they are open until 9:00 pm. We called for takeout sometime between 8:30 and 8:40 pm one night and they said that the kitchen was closed. No "sorry", no acknowledgement that their hours had changed. Took our business 2 miles up the road to Sweet Basil Thai restaurant instead. A little pricier, but good food and open when they said they would be.

Poor vegetarian/vegan options. Nothing is labeled on their website. Upon placing my order, they called to tell me that basically everything I ordered couldn’t be made vegan. They offered to make other dishes, like pad kee mao, and while I appreciate their accommodations, the food was flavorless. I guess all their sauces rely on fish sauce, etc. because everything we got was bland. Over $70 worth of food and it’s barely edible. Super disappointing.
