Feel welcomed and pampered while savoring expertly prepared dishes using locally sourced ingredients. It doesn't get any better than this! A warm atmosphere in every sense: from the stove, to the furnishings, to the owner's attentive service.

Today's encounter filled my heart. Seeing the owner's passion and genuine welcoming spirit is worth the effort! Coming back from a 20km hike, finding this place was the icing on the cake. Even though it was late, and we were the only customers on an unlikely Monday, the lady welcomed us with open arms and went out of her way to prepare us a delicious hot meal. She quickly set up the room, lit the stove, and made the place feel welcoming. We sampled a very tasty appetizer and the main course, the cruset with cream and leeks (a typical local recipe), were delicious!!! The apple pie and sake cake were exceptional! We will definitely return to this magnificent place to try other delicacies.

While passing through on a motorcycle road trip, I stopped for a beer. A very warm welcome from the owner, who is a real character. She accompanied my beer with some appetizers without me even asking. And all this for 3.50 euros. Don't hesitate.

Absolutely perfect. We arrived around 1:45 pm on a weekday and received a very warm welcome. The waitress spoke quite good French and gave us excellent recommendations on dishes to try. And we weren't disappointed: handmade ravioli, delicious pasta with tomato sauce, even the dessert was entirely homemade. 2 drinks / 2 main courses / 2 desserts: €44. Excellent, thank you so much for this wonderful experience.

Absolutely the best vegan meal I've had anywhere!Ate with my family and Italian friends here,the chef created a diverse range of dishes to suit all of our tastes, using locally sourced ingredients and plated exquisitely!Added to that the wine was fantastic, and the chef chatted with us at length about where she had sourced the ingredients and agriculture in the region. Eating at Locanda Lou Stau was an incredibly delicious way to connect with local (agri)culture, and enjoy a leisurely meal in relaxed surroundings,whether you are a omnivore,vegetarian or vegan. Extremely good value, c.30 euro per person for multiple dishes and courses, including wine and coffee/tea (fresh mint tea strongly recommended).

A simple trattoria, just the way we like it! Homemade dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients. The waitress is lovely and kind, and the atmosphere is simple and familiar. We went two evenings and chose the à la carte menu: the quality, quantity, and price were all very satisfying. Luckily, it's not close to home...! 😄

Disastrous to avoid. We arrived first, the starter was served quickly then nothing more... after half an hour I called the waitress after realizing that those who arrived after us had had their pasta... we had the pasta after a few minutes but reduced volume in fact 2 portions for 3, 12 croquettes per person.... then forgotten again... I called the waitress back to tell her that we were waiting for the meat, 2 lamb dishes and for me ribs, the lamb dishes arrive, okay, my ribs don't! I ask the waitress again who had forgotten, once again, and here is my dish arriving.... 3 pieces of ribs with a total of I think 30 grams of meat! Then comes dessert...2 types of tart, a panna cotta and no ice cream...oh yes cornettos or magnums... 2 coffees and I'm going to pay 111€ in the end paying 105€ the boss made a gesture... SCANDALOUS lame excuses, there are only 5 of us to serve 45 people. So go plant potatoes instead of wanting to do catering.

Passing through Demonte on a Monday lunchtime, we looked at the positive reviews of this place and decided to stop for lunch. The waitress informed us that there was a €27.00 menu that included an appetizer, a first course, and dessert, or an à la carte menu. There wasn't a menu, so everything was spoken. We decided on the €27.00 menu. The appetizer consisted of a slice of wild boar sausage, a slice of omelette, and a small potato sampler. Meanwhile, other customers arrived before us and were served first. Our first course had chosen tagliatelle with wild boar sauce. After waiting more than 15 minutes, the waitress told us that the tagliatelle were sold out and that there was only orecchiette pasta. When the first course arrived, there were 10 orecchiette on the plate; it must have been 50 grams of pasta. I went to the cashier to pay, and the cook asked me if that was okay, and I told her no. She gets angry, saying she didn't have time to prepare it and that the pasta costs €16.00 per kilo. I pay by card and she decides to take the tip too (in my opinion), charging me €10.00 more. Luckily, I checked and she refunded me the €10.00. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone; the prices are like those of a Michelin-starred menu, while the dishes are poor.

Given the all positive reviews we stopped... we were very disappointed, even after being served to regular customers, we took the 27 euro menu which was too little and not satisfactory, then since we paid by debit card the lady made a mistake and took 10 euros more, luckily we checked the receipt... I would not recommend it to anyone...
