Linger Denver Reviews
We had the most amazing time at Linger! I'm gluten intolerant and they were able to make everything I wanted gluten-free! The food is delicious, and this is the second time we've dined there in a month. We agreed this is the best food we've ever had at a restaurant and that's saying something because we literally keep a spreadsheet of all the places we've been but we are picky foodies. We LOVED the lamb. The Wagyu sliders were incredible. I haven't had cheese curds in probably 6 years since going gluten-free, and the dip it came with was so incredible. I even ate the peppers it came with! My fiancé loved the pork belly bao bun that he had and next time he wants to try a "flight" of all of them! And we can't get over the crispy brussel sprouts and whatever sauce is on it. They are so sweet and tangy and every time we took a bite we had to sit back and savor it. It was a really generous portion but we ate almost all of it between the two of us. We were stuffed. AND THEN the server came out with a scoop of chocolate mousse with a birthday candle in it to celebrate my birthday! The staff had signed a card for me too. It was SO decadent, we decided not to get ice cream next door like we had planned because we were set. I want to order that mousse next time but didn't see it on the menu, but that almost made it more special because it's exclusive! That or we were too full to look hard enough. We will be back... with friends next time! This is our favorite place in Denver. Compliments to the chefs!
5/5 amazing food and fantastic service. Came to celebrate an anniversary and was blown away by the food, especially the wagyu sliders (highly recommend). Our server was Ryan Pearl who was fantastic!! He made great recommendations and took the time to explain the menu so we knew what to expect when placing the order. He was timely, friendly, and very professional. Will 100% be coming back!!
Linger is a great date night option. With an interesting dining room, and nice views of the city - the environment is fun. The food is delicious. Devils on Horseback is my favorite sharable. To be fair I was not a huge fan of the BBQ Duck Bao Bun. It was ok - just not as good as all the other teams we ordered. We finished our meal with Dubai Chocolate Bombe - we loved it.
Went here for my 3 year anniversary we left full and happy. For starters they gave us a complementary pallet cleanser as a congratulatory present. We ordered a ton of food and it was actually delicious. You can tell the chef takes their time on formulating flavors that will leave you wanting more and thinking about it. It wasn’t our first time going to Linger every time we eat there the food is excellent and we leave satisfied. The interior designer adaptively reused this building and made it into a classy upscale eatery with warm chandeliers and romantic ambiance. The service is always amazing the restaurant is clean! The food is fresh and locally sourced.
We went for brunch. The atmosphere is classy like a whiskey bar. The bathrooms are funky! Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Food was delicious and full of flavor. We got their waffle (half order), churro French toast (half order), their eggs Benedict (scrambled eggs instead of poached), and the non alcoholic mule. Everything was to die for (see what I did there- it’s an old mortuary). We did have reservations and I highly recommend it, especially for dinner and brunch.
So this will strictly be for their Litmus rooftop since that's mostly what I experienced... But awesome holiday vibes up on the rooftop. Got an igloo last minute and some good holiday drink options and small eats. $15 the their eats which usually is 2 of anything (bao buns, tacos, etc) pricey for portions but par for the course for the area
We recently visited Linger for lunch and were very pleased with the experience. We arrived on time for our reservation and were immediately greeted by a gracious host. The venue lots of history- it was a mortuary for over 90 years and is said to have held the remains of Buffalo Bill. . There was a great selection of drinks available, including a variety of wines and beers. Our table ordered the Pad Thai and the lobster roll with honey and chili fries. Both entrees were excellent, though the honey and chili fries were a bit too sweet for my personal taste. Our server, Benji, was extremely professional and offered attentive service throughout our meal. We would highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful dining experience.
Becca was amazing! We went around 11:30 for lunch and had a great experience. Sat near the open windows, had the sweet potatoes to start. Chicken Caesar and Hamachi as entrees. Drinks were also wonderful. Will be back when in town.
This was a really great spot for dinner. We had heard about Linger for a while and grateful to have finally made it. We were really impressed with the atmosphere and all of the friendly staff. We started off with the Bao buns, honestly we tried all of them and each were exceptional in their own way, 10/10. We will be coming back for more of these! We also tried the Filipino Spring Rolls, very good as well, 8/10. The Lemon Grass potstickers were another stand out dish 10/10. The scallion pancake with spiced short rib was tasty, 8.5/10. We also tried a side of the hot honey fries, which we enjoyed 7/10. For entree we had the summer fattoush salad, exceptional 9.5/10 with chicken skewer on the side 8/10. We also had the crispy whole trout, which was delicious 9/10. The rice that came with this dish was one of the let down, tasteless and gummy 1/10, but I will not let a little rice get in the way of an amazing meal. We had a wonderful evening. Parking can be challenging or expensive, which ever way you decide to go. This place was extremely busy but they have lots of room. We look forward to making it back soon!
The happy hour is unreal. Dreaming of the salty foam/seasonal margarita. Unreal. As vegetarians we also LOVED all the vegetarian options. We had sliders, lumpia, waffle fries, tofu skewers, and pad Thai. Ate our way through this place. Loved the ambience and our server was fabulous as well. Thanks for a great night out!
Went for dinner and had an absolutely wonderful time! Our waitress was incredibly and the food was top notch. We really loved the Korean fried chicken bao and devils on horseback. We will definitely be back!
Tried Linger for the first time during happy hour on a Wednesday and will definitely be back! We ordered a lot of small plates that were part of the happy hour. The only dish that we ordered that wasn't part of the happy hour was the Bombay nachos. However, I highly recommend ordering it. It was a 10/10. My other favorite was the spring rolls with the two dipping sauces. One sauce had a little spiciness to it that was a perfect balance to the other sauce. All food was tasty and I loved the sauces each one had. The warm donuts we had for dessert were amazing as well. Drinks are a bit pricey, but if you go for happy hour, definitely try the margarita. The staff was great. Everyone was friendly. The gentleman who took us to our table was very helpful with my parking situation. As we were getting seated, I was still trying to figure out how to pay for street parking through this app that i had to download to pay for parking, but i needed the parking meter #. It gave me suggestions based on my location, but I wasn't sure which one to select. When I asked him about it, he wasn't sure either, and without hesitation, he just walked outside across the street and got the # for me. I am grateful for him going above and beyond in this situation.
Great restaurant with a variety of tasty dishes. We don’t come here often but when we do , we enjoy it a lot.
Wow I enjoyed my experience so much. I came alone and sat at the bar Casey made me the most delicious jalapeño cucumber and basil gin drink yum! The edamame was charred and I want it no other war from now on! I also enjoyed the squash skewers many options for us vegans! Thanks I’ll be back again and hope to get lucky and have Casey as my bartender again she was great. Ambiance was right up my alley dark chill vibes at the bar.
SUCH a nice spot and we were able to get in later in the evening as well. We didn’t come in for a huge meal but they had some yummy mocktails and some taro nachos which were nothing like I’ve ever had before. We were seated in a booth and the ambiance was very romantic. I believe there is outside seating as well but don’t quote me on that. The service was also really good. I was even able to forget my credit card there and was able to get it back the next day earlier than opening hours. They have a really organized system as well to handle that. This attention to detail is what I appreciate when I go out to eat. I will definitely be back if I’m ever in the area
Came here for a date night: try to make sure you get a table upstairs against the window with the comfy booth chair Service was great, server was attentive but not too attentive, was lively in conversation, and solid with recommendations Food was excellent: - All bao buns: 10/10, recommend all - Bombay nachos: 8.5/10, were refreshing and delicious - Devils on Horseback: 6/10, were alright but too much goat cheese - Potstickers: 8/10, deep fried and saucy variation of a standard pork potsticker - Bison steak skewer: 7.5/10, tasty but nothing crazy and a little too buttery - Pad Thai: 9/10, a great Pad Thai with great sauce Drinks were also tasty
Ordered the breakfast dosa this morning, post birthday hungover shenanigans! I couldn’t have ordered a better choice, I am conflicted whether which was most impressive it’s peacock like presentation or its delightful taste, 10/10.
Wife and I stopped here for dinner before a concert at Red Rocks. There is a paid parking lot across the street as well as street parking. As you walk up, you will see the roof top patio and when you enter the interior seating. We decided to sit inside but the roof area looked very nice. We showed up at 4:40PM and the team doesn't start seating people till 5PM inside. There looked to be plenty of interior seating with an elevator to the roof if needed. Lots of people poured in close to 5PM with reservations but we were sat quickly without one. The interior space has a very cool vibe from the light fixtures, to the tables, etc. With garage doors open to the outside, it was a really nice atmosphere. Our server was incredibly kind and helpful explaining different things. Most of the menu is small plates to share with a couple larger items. We ended up settling on (5) things including the hot honey sweet fries, crispy Filipino spring rolls, devils on horseback, ginger chili shrimp skewers, and lemon grass pork potstickers. All of it came quickly and was excellent. There wasn't a thing that we wouldn't eat again. This was a great stop that we really enjoyed and would absolutely stop again if given the opportunity.
Crystal with Offline - Excellent service. Enjoyed the food and unique flavors and trying some new things. They were very on top of allergy issues. They even used a little flag in the food to note allergy to stay on top of things. We’ve had issues at other places before so I was impressed with how they handled this so well!
(Our server) Katie was outstanding!! Awesome artsy, quirky vibes. Great service, unique drink options. Appetizer style food. Wonderful complex and earthy flavors, would definitely come back. Definitely a great spot if you are a foodie and want a unique dinning experience.
Wish I could move in. I could eat almost everything on the menu (I'm gluten free and vegan, so that doesn't happen often), and everything I ordered i wanted to order again. The cocktails were just as amazing. Service was fantastic, as well.
Overall really great dining experience. Food was crisp, tasty and flavors were well defined. I had the pork belly bao bun and chicken and waffles. My only complaint was that food wasn’t hot but oh well we can’t have them all. Acoustics were loud on a busy brunch day. Service was prompt and attentive.
I’ve been wanting to go to Linger for quite a while now and finally found time to do so on my latest trip! The bonus was finding out that they have a happy hour on the rooftop. Say. Less. It was a beautiful night with great views, plenty of shade, excellent staff, and exceptional food/drinks. The vibes of every square inch of this property are worth soaking in. I loved the decor and the different spaces and wish I would have taken time to really go through the lower levels. As for the food and drinks… Let’s just say I am pretty sure you’re not going to go wrong with anything on the menu. We got the duck boa bun, a wagyu smashburger slider, and hot honey sweet potato fries. All of these dishes were 10/10. Everything was cooked perfectly, had layers of flavor, and was so far from typical bar/happy hour eats. Not to mention the price point. Three elevated cocktails and three happy hour bites for around $50 and we both were pleasantly full. Also… After having this margarita, I will now need all future margaritas to have salted foam rather than a salted rim please and thank you.
Came to Linger on a work related event for dinner. Thankfully we had reservations because it seems to be the place to be, even on a Thursday night. The atmosphere is great, albeit a bit louder than I would have liked. You can still hold a conversation but you realize how busy it is once you finish your dinner and leave. Waiters were friendly and incredibly accommodating of our groups allergies and food preferences, which made all the difference. Had the Mongolian BBQ Duck Bao Buns, Shrimp Skewer & Lettuce Wraps, Crispy Cheese Curds, Duck Fat Fried Rice and the Korean Tacos. Everything was tasty, but the bao buns, cheese curds and tacos were a big hit with the table. The Dubai Chocolate Bombe was exceptional and I could have had two more with extra serving of cherries without an issue.
This place was highly recommended by locals and seating was available that day, I would call ahead to get preferred window seating. They have unique hours so make sure to check those times with your plans before going. I loved the food here, atmosphere was amazing, and the staff were attractive and polite. I had a great time and it was 2 blocks from my Airbnb!
We didn’t have reservations but they had a limited menu for rooftop so we went on the rooftop and ordered. You have two options : either go up and order yourself or full dine in service We chose order yourself Very cutesy and charming spot View is nice FOOD WAS AMAZing and my drink oh my gosh she made it into a mocktail for me with salt foam. I had impossible sliders which came with these delicious coated fries idk what they were (candied sweet potato waffle fries) best fries I’ve ever had My husband had duck bao bun and plantains with a beer 10/10 recommended Best spot we ate at in Denver
What a Gem! My brother brought me here to eat. It was delicious! Who thought you could eat bacon wrapped dates and they be so yum! What a cool place and the history behind the restaurant being an old mortuary is fascinating!
This was my 2nd time at Linger to celebrate my friend's birthday and it was nothing short of fantastic. My favorite was the scallion pancake with the duck fried rice a close second. The service was amazing and made it a special time for our party. I would love to come back again soon for a date night with my husband! The atmosphere is one of the best in Denver metro for me, especially with Little Man right next door.
Unique food options and great service. Inside of an old mortuary so gives off spooky vibes. Great views of downtown Denver.
Linger and linger you shall at this swanky spot close to Ball Arena. This place popped up as a suggested spot and the vegetarian options on the menu looked substantial so we went for it. We had no clue what a vibe we had just signed up for. The floor plan of the restaurant is reminiscent of a jazz club. We sat in the upstairs portion which had very nice mood lighting and cozy seats with views. Somehow we made it in time for Happy Hour and our server was so kind for letting us know. We got a few small plates and the seasonal Margarita. When I tell you this has to be the best $35 I’ve ever spent. I ate most of our plates before I thought to take a picture but we did enjoy the impossible spring rolls, the boa buns with tofu, and the skewers in addition to the hot honey fries. Their spicy ketchup was also incredible. This place was amazing. I’ll most definitely be back.
Visited this spot for the first time during Denver Restaurant Week, and it’s a great place for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere is subtle and dimly lit, with a beautiful rooftop. The bao buns were perfectly soft and crispy, the duck was juicy, and the bison skewers were decent. Portions aren’t huge but great for sharing (4-5 dishes). The highlight? The tiramisu—easily the best I’ve ever had! We even picked up a few gift cards, so we’ll definitely be back to try more. UPDATE: we came back to Linger to use our gift cards! Happy to be back! Yay This time around we had the Caesar salad that was pretty good starter to share. The chicken satay skewers were very juicy and you have to smother it in peanut sauce. It tastes much better together. The star of our dinner was duck fried rice. Let me tell you how delicious that meal was. The duck is crispy but not dry, the rice is cooked to perfection for the fried rice dish. This plate was packed with flavors. For dessert we had ube ice cream from Little man ice cream. Yum
Linger has such an atmospheric vibe that’s somehow retro and futuristic at the same time. The staff is amazing, the food was all mouth-watering, the cocktails were tasty (and pretty strong 😊) and I love the curated design choices of the restaurant! Parking can be pretty tight especially with the fact that Linger gets VERY busy, so just plan ahead!
Fantastic! Small plates done beautifully. We had the cheese curds, devils on horseback, fried chicken bao, GF burrata and peaches, duck confit fried rice (for breakfast the next morning! omg), fried plantains. Delicious cocktails. Seriously, all so good. So comfortable. Well done.
Amazing small plates and great cocktails, get reservations this place is busy!
Linger was recommended by a friend and it was seriously one of the best date night spots I’ve ever been to! The service was great and the drinks/food were a perfect pair to the ambiance. I can’t wait to beeline it here when I visit Denver again!
We came here for an anniversary dinner in October and the place was highly recommended by a fiend who lives here. We opted for the rooftop patio, even though it offered a smaller menu, and had heaps of good options for my GF partner. The night was perfect. There was a screening of Coraline on a projection screen in the parkette below us and the view of the city was great. The food was superb. Everything we ordered was delicious and carefully plated and prepared. The cocktails were amazing and the sour beer was delightful. But the real jewel was our server, Jake P. He was super chill and we talked for a good long while each time he came to our table. It was one of the later seatings and it wasn't too busy so he had the time to make our experience the best. We talked about bass music, the local scenes, and he even noted a former chef was now pursuing his bass music dreams and we knew who he was talking about. Nights like this don't come often, and we left loving everything that we had just experienced. To Jakey P: I told you this review would likely be months after, but I hope you realize the night you brought for us. We won't soon forget it. Keep it real! Parker and Tash
Can’t wait to be back! The food is amazing. I read a lot of reviews that mentioned waiting a long time for their orders to come, but ours were out very fast. Happy hour is so worth it! The brussel sprouts were a favorite, as well as the duck bao bun and wagyu slider. The N/A cocktail of turmeric, ginger, pineapple and lemon was fantastic. Keep doing what you’re doing Linger! I’m bringing more friends next time :)
We celebrated my friend's birthday and had such a good time. I'd been here about 10 years ago, the vibe is still kickin. Our server was very kind and patient, even brought a candle on a donut haha. The donuts were fantastic with the seasonal drinks. We had a few like the buttered rum,old fashioned, espresso martini, and Cosmo. I can't wait to come back and eat a meal here. The host stand folks were also kind and accommodating. This would be a cool place to host a small party.
I’ve been to Linger several times, and each visit has exceeded my expectations! Every dish I’ve tried has been outstanding, and I love that there’s always something new to explore on the menu. The atmosphere is unlike any other—being in a former mortuary, the restaurant embraces its history in a way that feels both unique and captivating. It makes dining here a truly memorable experience. On top of that, the staff is exceptional. They are warm, attentive, and clearly well trained, providing a level of service that makes the evening feel elevated and special. Whether you’re looking for inventive food, a one-of-a-kind setting, or impeccable service, Linger delivers on all fronts. A definite five-star experience!
Went for an anniversary dinner (and told them through OpenTable that's what we were celebrating!) They were so welcoming and kind, brought us a happy anniversary card and gifted us some bubbly, and were so attentive! The food was exceptional and the cocktails were amazing as well; my partner is vegetarian and had so many options to choose from. The bombay nachos were killer, the char siu bao made me so nostalgic. 100000000/10, will absolutely be back!
Neat place that used to be a mortuary, which is pretty cleverly worked into the concept. Appetizers were all pretty great, we loved the crab cheese wontons. Entress were good and the portions were generous. Staff was nice, this place isn't quite what it once was, but still a good experience that's worth your while.
Litmas at Linger Holiday pop-up bar. Our reservation was on the windiest day and it rained that night. Didn’t get the full experience due to weather. Aesthetics were super fun, good holiday drink selection, and yummy shareable food.
The vibe inside is dark, warm and cozy. Our server was great, kind and attentive. The bai buns are really good, my favorite thing I ate. The bulgogi tacos were good, a little dry and salty. Overall a fun spot and they offer a range of options.
Lingers great they have always been a top tier restaurant and I’ve been here several times over the years. Today i came with a good friend to was visiting town and wanted to catch up over happy hour. They have very specific rules about their happy hour especially in the roof top. You have to sit in the blue table section and you must walk up to order your food and drinks to the bus bar. We had two margaritas my friend got the classic and i got the seasonal one which had a salted foam along with pepper i asked for a tajin rim it was delicious i had two during my visit. We also ordered the hot honey sweet potato fries and the smashed wagyu sliders. The fries were fantastic i asked for a side of ranch to dip them in and i was extremely happy with them. The sliders were good nothing out of this world but they were tasty. Linger use to have one of the best views of the downtown Denver skyline until the new apartment buildings took that away from them. It’s still decent but definitely not as good. Over all i was happy coming here and I’d gladly come again. Just an fyi this place is in the pricier side but worth it here and there mainly for the atmosphere and littleman icecream next door afterwords!
Great vibes, friendly staff, and food is pretty good. We really enjoyed the New Saigon cocktail and Mortuary Margarita. Definitely recommend the hot honey sweet fries and the smashed wagyu sliders with bacon-onion jam, American cheese, pickles, and a special Sauce. The Korean fried chicken bao with kimchi, pickled fresno and Korean chili aioli was pretty good. I thought the Mongolian BBQ duck bao with koji pickled cucumber and scallion was a little too salty but still kinda yummy. Now for my standard comments. This location is clean and well kept. Indoor and outdoor seatings are comfortable.
This place has a great atmosphere, cool drinks and the manager Brianna was the absolute best! She was accommodating to my reservation changes and was helpful in sharing information with me regarding local attractions as we were first time visitors to Denver. The food was ok, not terrible just expected a bit more “umph!”The dates and the nachos were a 10/10 though, we tried the scallion pancakes, plantain and the satay but didn’t love those! Customer service was fantastic!
The food was delicious however a bit pricey. We also waited 2 hours for the kabobs (I think it was forgotten about). The order was also wrong when it came out. I understand we were a big party but every ordered item came out at a different time so I feel they got confused with what was going on and coming out….
This was our first time here. The service and atmosphere was great! However the Food was the most bold I’ve ever had in my life. There is a thing about keeping food simple, this place is making things too complicated and trying to put too many flavors in a way that is Not working. We got 4 different dishes and I would not get any of them again. We got the Pad Thai, Thai Fried Rice, garlic mushroom skewers, and bacon with dates. The pad Thai was like overkill on basil flavor same for the fried rice. We couldn’t taste anything else. The Thai Tea cocktail drink was good until we started eating. The flavor just didn’t pair well with the meal, almost unbearable. Also to top it off this place is very expensive for what you are getting. I’d have no issue with it if things tasted much better, but for this overkill of flavor and trying to make it your own thing just did not work. We will not be returning.
While our server was an absolute delight, the food itself was a massive disappointment. For anyone with autoimmune conditions, I strongly recommend dining elsewhere, as they primarily use seed oils in the kitchen—which causes more inflammation for anyone already battling an inflammatory chronic illness. The single dressing option offered also has nightshade seasonings, which are flare-inducing. I resorted to an olive oil/balsamic vinegar mix drizzled over a bowl of lettuce. The wait time was overly long for a salad containing nothing more than naked lettuce, a teaspoonful of almonds and a piece of skewered bison, that was chewy, overly salted, and had an aftertaste reminding one of bad body odor. Originally the chef had said he could grill a naked piece chicken as a topper, but after a half hour wait, the waitress came back to our table and informed me they were out of chicken. The only meat they had left was bison, and after sampling it, I can easily ascertain why. It was the grossest, gamiest meat to ever touch my tastebuds. I could only stomach three bites. For a simple, pitiful portion of lettuce and my husband’s small taco duo with a side of fries, our tab was ridiculously priced at almost $70. We definitely will not be back again.
Was really looking forward to this place but was quite a bit of a letdown. The atmosphere was great loved the esthetic and the history. Food service on the other hand was absolutely terrible. We each ordered 3 items and everything arrived to the table separately and extremely late. We were eating our food before our friends even got theirs. We also got sat at the smallest table. Barely any room to move around while there was a nice lounge area right next to us with couches and a table that could fit up to 6 people. They sat a party of 2 there, made no sense. Ordered the devils on horseback, bison skewers, pad thai, pork bao buns and the waygu sliders. The devils on horseback was by far the best item I tried. The waygu sliders were good as well just felt like they were missing something and the hot honey waffle fries were drenched in honey a bit overwhelming. The bison skewers sounded better than they were. For 18 dollars the portion is extremely small. It took over 40 mins for our first appetizer to come out which our waitress did take it off the bill in the end but still was irrtating especially since people who had just been sat near us were getting their orders right away. We also ordered dessert as our final dishes arrived, and we waited another 40 mins for those to get to the table as well. The coffee doughnuts was good but the Espresso mousse was a little overly sweet for me. The Eton Mess was a little on the bland side I expected more flavor. I know it wasn't our waitresses fault at all it was the kitchen. She really did her best especially with how busy it was. I'll definitely never be going back though overall was not that memorable.
