Coppinger Dublin Reviews
Four of us dined here last night - it was buzzin but the staff seemed to thrive on being run off their feet. Soo cheerful and attentive. The food was delicious and the four of us tried everything on the menu. Couldn’t fault anything and the wine recommendations were spot on. Particular shout out to Anne Marie for being soo helpful.
Stopped in randomly for a quick bite and a cocktail and ended up having the most incredible burger ever. The chimichurri potatoes were outstanding as well. The cocktails were so good we went back hours later to try different ones. Our server was fantastic, I do not recall his name. I believe he mentioned he was originally from Germany.
Outstanding. Can work for a quick casual lunch, a brisk business lunch or (as it was for us) a long indulgent affair. The menu is focused but has something for any palate. The flavours are all really fresh and crisp. Particular highlights were the stracciatella with anchovy and the tuna crudo with peach. The steak was excellent and cooked perfectly. The wine list is excellent - again, neatly curated but will accommodate any tastes. Particularly enjoyed the albarino that was by the glass when we visited. Highly recommend for great food in a good setting with first-class, friendly service. Thanks Coppinger team!
A fantastic night out, great food, nice wine list ,buzzy atmosphere and really good service all combined for a meal that was really a fun night out. Will defo become a go to spot for me. We had foccacia, dip, two small plates, two mains, one ice cream, cheese aswell as two glasses of wine and one cocktail = €175 total (excl tip) so it’s a €100 a head meal incl tip and very little booze but worth it. The celery gimlet was the best cocktail I had all year. Would highly recommend Coppinger.
Excellent lunch offer the other week. Interesting courses perfectly cooked and well presented. A very enjoyable lunch. Highly recommended.
All the staff and in particular the Floor Manager were professional, kind and accommodating we had a pram with a sleeping baby it was no trouble and made to feel comfortable. The food was excellent best meal out in some time. Recommend the focaccia with the stracciatella and muhammara dips, the cod and the prawns a la plancha with the spuds all delicious. Thanks for a lovely lunch.
Relax vibe and excellent food. Confit Duck Flatbread was a favorite of the table. Will definitely stop by again next time we are in Dublin
Massive fan of their menu del dia. The best deal in all of Dublin. Possibly in Ireland. Fantastic quality for an amazing price.
Absolutely amazing food and service. Bruno and kamila were incredibly attentive. Gill AKA voice of an angel for THE birthday boy
Excellent lunch in Dublin City. Really tasty Cod dish at a reasonable price for high quality food. Looked like a nice cocktail menu also to try another time.
Food was incredible, Paul our waiter guided us on all our orders and made the experience extra special. Staff, food and atmosphere was 11/10, definitely would be back. Don't sleep on the choux bun for dessert
My family and I had an amazing meal here, celebrating Dads birthday. Great quality food, great service and atmosphere. 10/10 Don’t miss out!
Had a fantastic 30th birthday! Great food, atmosphere and service and they accommodated loads of extra friends who surprised me.
Absolutely amazing - food AND service AND atmosphere, for me I find it rare to get all 3. Highly recommend the gambas and the chateaubriand. I eat here regularly and love how the menu changes seasonally. Their fresh fish starters never dissapoint. Midweek lunch deal is also great value. Sometimes I go solo after work, dining at the beautiful Connemara marble counter is a real treat as I watch Gill doing the fabulous cocktails. I love eating at the counter. But my favorite for a group is the round table in the window, really great atmosphere. All the staff here are amazing but Kevin truly made my last experience memorable. He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional from start to finish and really looked after our group of 8 so well. Coppinger should be on the top of the list for dinner / lunch in Dublin City centre. I’m looking forward to the summer for dining al fresco too!
Thank you guys 🙏 I had the very best night for my 40th. The terrace was great fun,the food was so so incredible, the staff,Simone dancing, the extra bubbles, the fun,the delicious cocktails & that gnocchi!!! Oh & not forgetting the sensational Tuna crudo ❤️ Big thank you all Couldn’t have asked for a better night out in Dublin City xxx
Cute restaurant and friendly service. Perfect location before a show.
Lamb risotto, oxtail ragu and mussels the big hitters
Seriously so delicious, blown away by quality, flavours and value for money!
Wait staff are great. Loved the cocktails. Will be back!
Amazing food, excellent service and great atmosphere, especially given the fact that we were the first sitting of the evening. I would highly recommend the white bean hummus and nduja as well as the venison.
Absolutely STELLAR food. Everything was amazing: the drinks, the bites, the small plates, entrees, and desserts. The menu is also very vegetarian friendly. This is a can’t miss!
Paul is an absolute star. Best service I’ve ever had, great guy. Had a great time thanks to him.
Brilliant restaurant - worth every penny for food and drink! Server was knowledgeable about wine too - will be back!
We had a fabulous dinner. Our table was a little late to come available which is understandable at Christmas but we were given a complementary bottle of Prosecco anyway! Food was delicious, drinks even more so, staff were very accommodating and service was excellent for an extremely busy Saturday night. Would highly recommend for any occasion.
Very fine establishment, with lovely food served by highly efficient team. I would marry the gambas sauce if I was permitted to marry a sauce. The steak and potatoes made me happy. The chocolate mousse dessert is off the scale....the right amount of everything. Finally, I thought it was very good value.
Nice staff, flavorful food, good prices for lunch taking into account the type of cusine they serve.
Had a really fun night in Coppinger Row last night. We were an unruly bunch of 12 people, who were probably a nightmare to serve, but the staff were charming & professional for the whole night. Food & cocktails were delicious. Thanks to all the staff for a brilliant birthday night out.
We went for a Saturday lunch, had a lovely cocktail each followed by an absolutely gorgeous hummus and sweet nduja concoction with perfect foccacia. I had the summer gnocchi and my sister had the spaghetti and meatballs. Food was flawless, service was perfect, great prices for what you get. Really recommend.
We booked and had our baby with us, they were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Food was so tasty! Would highly recommend
Great place for a celebratory dinner. Food was fantastic and atmosphere was buzzing. Right in the city center. Great wine
I can’t say enough great things about this place. The food is so nicely prepared and thoughtful in its presentation. The service is absolutely top-notch. Marc and Conor Bereen just have that magic touch. The ambience, food, service, quality, etc. it’s all there they have everything can’t wait to go back. I’m so happy it’s back!
Apparently this was the 'in place' in Dublin in the boom years and after a hiatus in its current location due to a dispute with the landlord, it came back in late summer 2024. We spotted it via reviews in Irish Times and The Irish Examiner. Has some large plates but a lot of the plates are more tapas like. Food didn't blow us away but was nice. Service was friendly. The mint potatoes as a side recommended.
This place was recommended to me by a local - they have a rotating menu of tapas. The potatoes and octopus were rather dry but the flavor was there - I appreciate how the mustard aioli complimented the flavor of the rice/octopus dish. The potatoes were OK, a small dash of garlic mayo hidden at the bottom instead of provided on the side which was strange.
I recently visited Coppinger in Dublin and had a mostly positive experience. The service itself was good, but the food took around 45 minutes to arrive. One of the steaks came out well-done instead of medium and had to be sent back, which added another 15 minutes to the wait. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake, which was disappointing. Once the food arrived, it tasted very good, and the quality overall was impressive. The atmosphere was lively, though the place was quite loud, which might not suit everyone. Despite the delays and lack of apology for the steak issue, I’d still recommend Coppinger to others for the great food.
Great restaurant, food is really good… a little overpriced, small portions
Food was off the charts good. Every bite was delicious. The service was...not at the level of the food, to the point of being comical. I was alone at a table on the patio, and there was only one other table of customers out there. I ordered a cocktail and three oysters with balsamic mignonette and then Manchego and Chorizo croquettes as a starter and grilled cod with rice, onions, clams, and chorizo for my main. Server took my order and repeated it back, forgetting the drink. We got that sorted and he left and then was back within 90 seconds asking what I ordered to drink. The rum and Medeira and maple drink was interesting, and oysters were perfect. My starter and main arrived at the same time, which seemed odd, plates dropped on the table without a word. By this time my drink was empty but he just dropped the food on the table and turned around before I had a chance to order a new drink. The server then walked by me for the next ten minutes until I could finally get his attention to order a glass of wine. The other guy then proceeded to take my glass of wine to the other table, then once he got turned around by the other diners and directed to my table, he just put the glass down and walked away. Super weird. I was in Dublin for eight days and had good to great service everywhere else I ate. The food here was superb, so I'll be be back and I'll just have to hope that my experience was just bad luck because the back of house is putting out incredible dishes.
Second time being here since it re-opened. Food was good on both occasions but better on the second visit. The first time we enjoyed everything bar the main courses. I believe we ordered the wrong mains. Specifically the Gnocci and the Pork Chop. The pork chop is still on the menu and from reading the menu they changed the Gnocci dish slightly. So, could be better now. We sat down the back of the restaurant on Wednesday and we felt slightly forgotten by the staff. However, the food was delicious, varied and reasonably priced too.
Sauces and sides overpowered the food. Especially the lamb rump which was accompanied by a strongly citrus infused cold yoghurt and a range of sides including strongly pickled courgette. No balance at all and completely dominated what was otherwise a nice piece of meat. Drinks service was extremely slow to the extent that we cancelled our second round as we had finished our food by the time it was going to come . Waiter asked how our food was and when we told him, he seemed offended. If you don’t want honest constructive feedback then don’t ask the question if all you want is to be told everything is fine .
My food was good, my partner was brought a ribeye steak which was bits and pieces of other steaks put together. It was poor quality and very poor service when brought up with the staff. I paid for the steak first but wanted to make them aware of the issue and they were incredibly dismissive
Felt like I was in a night club, not a restaurant. Took an hour to bring our main course. Service was, in general, slow and impolite. No space between tables. Better and similar menu can be found elsewhere on Camden street, like Uno Mas. Table beside us were bouncing all over the place… felt very uncomfortable
