The food was good as always. 😋 This is for sure my go-to when in the Livermore valley.

Ordered Hawaiian BBQ Beef and Chicken, it was awesome!
We recently ordered catering from Hawaiian Grille Express for a birthday party, and we were blown away! I chose this place because it was a place my family enjoyed eating at, and I am so glad I chose them to cater our event. Very reasonable prices, and outstanding food! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
The staff was attentive, it was easy to order, and the food came out quickly. Thankfully, the food was also good! I got the Katsu curry and it was on point! The macaroni salad and rice were great too! I will definitely be back. I did give 4 stars for atmosphere as they use a chunk of the dining room as storage, and the cabinets around looked dirty and worn.
Quick service, great food and huge portions for the price
Big portions and the staff were so nice. Nice and clean space with huge parking lot!

Excellent value for Hawaiian fast food. The portions are large. Even the mini meal I ordered (curry chicken katsu) was more than enough at $6.79 - a good alternative to American fast food.
Ordered through door dash twice now, never had any issues and they always follow the instructions I give on the dishes! - Short ribs are my go to. Thicker cut but never chewy. - Double up on the mac for me. - spam musubi: The rice needs a little more sauce but satisfies the craving when I have it. Only reason I'm dinging 1 star is the veggies they include are always overcooked and super bland, they're just steamed.
Only had the chicken katsu so far. It was good but not great. Very good sized portion

The food was great, I had the BBQ mixed plate. Chicken was tender and flavorful as well as the beef and short ribs. Food came out fast. Lots to choose from on their menu.
Hawaiian BBQ is one of my go-to places for lunch. The portion sizes are decent and I love that they offer brown rice as an option. Their food is not too salty and the service is fast and friendly. For the price, I think you really can't beat it. I highly recommend this place for a satisfying and delicious meal.

The food was not the best. It's nothing to run home and tell everyone about. It's that food that just gets the job done. I don't have to go back and I'll be fine. I have the mixed or combo plate. There is another location in San Jose that was 10xs better.

The food is good and a great value, but walked in to order today, and in a friendly manner said "how are you today." Got gruff mumbles in response and a surly look. When I asked them to repeat the question, got an attitude with a " well, are you READY to order?". So I said "No thanks" and left. I love being made to feel like I'm greatly inconveniencing someone to spend more than $25 on a meal. Yeah. No thanks.
Doesn't allow substitutes. Cashier doesn't know what kind of beef is in the bbq mix. Doesn't understand oe speak English worth a darn. Portions are small. Go to L n L instead. Better price, taste, and portions
Kind of strange/ridiculous that when I walked in to place my order, they told me if I didn’t place my order online that the price would be almost DOUBLE, then proceeded to show me a QR code to order online. Why can’t they just take my order and have the same price as online? Not very helpful nor are they open to substitutions if requested.

I recently visited this establishment, which is a convenient 15-minute drive from my location. While the food was enjoyable, the service left much to be desired. Despite spending $38 on my meal and leaving a tip, I was disappointed to be informed that I would be charged for a to-go box for my leftovers. When I suggested that this could be considered part of customer service, the employee's attitude was unprofessional. While it may seem minor, this interaction left a sour taste in my mouth, and I will not be returning to this establishment.
Totally not authentic Hawaiian. Absolutely no spirit of aloha. I asked if they had two of my favorite Hawaiian dishes and they looked at me sideways and rudely and ignorantly said "we only sell Hawaiian food here" yeah buddy except that's what I'm asking for. Rude. Disrespectful to me and my people's culture. Not a single ounce of aloha spirit. And no one would even say it back to me. Smh. Look just do me a favor and close shop and open up something you can be more authentic about and not disrespect me and my culture to my face. Shameful appropriation.

My food was horrible... it was my first time in. The customer service wasn't bad or good. I ordered the Teriyaki chicken plate with a side Asian salad. The Asian salad wasn't what it said on the menu at all. It was just a side salad. No shredded cabbage or shredded lettuce. The teriyaki sauce was so water down, it had no flavor, neither did my macaroni salad. The chicken didn't have the char flavor I love and they charged me $1.99 for a huge side of salad dressing when I asked for another small size. To top it off there was a hair in my salad, so I didn't even eat it. I won't be back...
This was unpleasant, staff seemed like they did not want to be there. One of the kitchen staff was picking his nose shamelessly. I honestly did not want to eat in this environment.
The food is okay, but those running it are unwilling to do even the simplest of modifications. They have BBQ Chicken, and they have Kalua pork... but for some reason there isn't a single person in the restaurant capable of putting both on a plate together and selling it. I wouldn't care if there was an up charge, or if they chose the most expensive combo, to swap one of the items with. These aren't prepackaged meals that they would have to disassemble, It's a simple plate meal, and would require no extra work. It is sad to see the level of inflexibility, when asking for something that is literally no extra work, and costs the restaurant nothing.

Have gone here for years but it was bad tonight . I ordered a chicken terriaki to go and it was basically the bbq chicken they did not cook it on the terriaki sauce or even out any on I asked if I can change it to another dish and they said NO It was all scraps too which looks bad but I just gave up and left pissed
