I have been coming to this restaurant for several years now and they never fail! The service is always outstanding and the food is fresh, delicious and authentic. It's a great spot for a business lunch or a night out. They have live music from time to time which is an added bonus. I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Always looking forward to my next visit....

The place has clearly changed: new TV, new chairs, new bathrooms. The food is spectacular, tastes delicious, and the dishes are beautiful. I highly recommend it.

This might be the best little piece of Spain that we have in Miami. The food is incredibly tasteful and traditionally flavored as the mother Spain. Just take Palmetto SB, exit on calle 8 East. Parking is free. Prices are super reasonable. You won't regret it!

Went with my parents for their anniversary! It was amazing. The food was excellent and the show was awesome! 10/10. We had croquetas, seafood paella, cream of asparagus, pulpo gallega, sangria and crema catalán.

I surprised my husband with a dinner here with his siblings and spouses and it was a great experience. The food was served hot and what we ordered was delicious. The show was great, we had a wonderful time. We even got a free Mariachi show before their own show since they were hired for a birthday party but the entire restaurant enjoyed it. We will definitely recommend El Gallego to friends and family and will go back. Keep up the great work.

A memorable dinner with family, maybe a date? Must have great food, drinks and a good reason to be remembered. I had my check list positively filled at El Gallego. paella de Mariscos came to the table right at the moment that the musicians were setting up. Wé enjoy also a fenomenal caldo gallego and to wash it down Sangria. The logical coffee for the after meal. And then a flamenco show. Each of the entertainers a seasoned performer with enough bohemian nights on their luggage to get the crowd have a great time.

Been there a couple of times, I must say the food is always delicious. Although the service is not the best, I always enjoy eating in this small and cozy place. Paella is a must try, you won’t be dissapointed.

Outstanding food! By far, as close to real Spain as you can find in MIA. The one star deduction was for the service. Our server was on the phone, giggling, and walking around like a teenager on summer vacation. To make it worse, the service charge was included!

The food was good, but in was annoying that they didn't have a wine menu ready, so we couldn't see their selection and it was hard to choose a suitable wine. The show was quite funny and entertaining with Juan Alba and his guest Alejandra, who has a beautiful voice. Only problem was that when we made reservations, they told us the show would start at 8pm. The show started well after 9pm. After a long wait we were told that they were late for unknown reasons.

We went to El Gallego today after more than a year without visiting. This is a favorite of us, had celebrated birthdays there and in general visited many times before. The food continues to be very good. Good service and good people as well. We went for lunch this time, but other times had enjoyed the show at night. Unfortunately they have now started charging 4% for using a credit card. Also they include 18% tip even for a party of 3 people. This will prevent us for going there again. We're very good tippers but don't appreciate a forced tip. Also everybody pays with credit card these days, so what's the sense of a 4% for everyone? Just raise the price of the food.

I’d give this place five stars for service and four stars for the atmosphere—both were really enjoyable. The food was three stars for me. It just didn’t quite meet the tapas and flavor standards I’ve experienced at other restaurants around Miami. I’d also give the wine options three stars, which was a bit disappointing, especially given the overall vibe of the place. There’s definitely potential here, and with stronger flavors and a more thoughtful wine selection, this could be a much more well-rounded experience.

Saturday early night. We went to the restaurant, because location and nice in pictures ,besides we were looking for Spanish food. The service was slow, but the gratuity included, without upfront information (I checked the menu,no specified either) 3 Pitchers of white sangria more than 100.00 dollars, and not enough, the bill included a cover charge. The spanish music was fine, but they must let the people know that you have to pay for live music Too many charges!!Paid almost 300.00 for one main course, with one desert, and a cold table.

I went here with a friend that I hadn’t seen in months. Saw this place online and it looked great so we picked it over another restaurant. We went on a week day, it was empty and there was nothing going on. Which we did not mind because we had the whole restaurant to ourselves….but that means I can’t judge on the entertainment mentioned in other comments. As far as decor goes, the inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The garbanzo frito was amazing, and so were the croquetas. My main course was around ~$55 I believe and it was a surf and turf. I was dissapointed that the lobster had been split down the middle, and I only got half of the tail. It did come with two pieces of steak but the flavor of it was not the best. Tasted like it had been cooked in the oil from the lobster or just maybe not the best oil. Food was ok overall, with some good and bad for everything we ordered. At the end, the check already included gratuity and they also charged us an extra fee of like $5.50 for not paying cash. We left extra tip as well, but I’m not a fan of included gratuity, as I enjoy actually tipping based on service. Overall, it was not worth the hype. Would not go back.

I would give it 5 stars for the entertainment and service, but the paella was so bad I can barely give it 2. We were really looking forward to a great dish but it had the consistency of overcooked mush and very little taste. The picture I am posting says it all... On a good note everything else they were serving looked great, the servers were very nice, and the entertainment was fantastic.

I want to begin by saying, my husband & I went to this restaurant for a quiet lunch. What we didn't expect was to be charged a "Service Charge" on our bill when there was no entertainment other than recorded Spanish Music over the sound system. We didnt leave an additional tip because my husband physically went to the bar to get a refill of his beer. The wait staff was more focused on preparing the stage for tonight's entertainment then attending the 3 tables of patron's having lunch😡 Additionally, this restaurant incentivizes you to pay your bill in cash. If you don't have cash, you are able to use your personal credit card but they will charge you a "Non Cash Adjustment" fee on your bill. This merchant is charging patrons for their Credit Card Processing Fees Upfront🤬 These fees are considered internal costs for running a business and it's based purely on the volume of transactions as a flat rate. Since the calculation on the receipt is based on a percentage of the bill, that translates to Profiting on every Credit Card Charge which I find to be very unfair & scrupulous business practices. Especially when this restaurant is charging Market Price for Lobster Paella. Lastly, the food was served hot & the Seafood was freshly prepared but lacked the Safron flavors I'm accustomed to in authentic Spanish Cuisine. The Grilled Octopus was quite delicious and that is why I gave this restaurant two stars🌟 I don't recommend this restaurant unless you want to be charged for a mediocre meal in addition to $30++ in processing & service fees. Instead, go to Old Lisbon Restaurant for authentic Portuguese/Spanish Cuisine located on the corner of 17th Avenue and Coral Way. The service is excellent, the food is outstanding, and there are no hidden fees; just deliciously prepared food🥰

Food is not bad but is seriously overpriced. They make you BUY water. There is no regular water. Glaring light from outside while little to no light inside won't be comfortable.

We were disappointed with the food from this place. We ordered hot tapas - shrimp with garlic, octopus with potatoes and cod fish fritter. The food came quick but cold and lacked seasoning. The waitress was nice but failed to let us know the water served was a bottle and we would be charged $6. The place lacks proper cleaning because we found lots of dust everywhere. Caution: there is a fee for paying with a credit card that's not announced anywhere.

I used come here to eat some years ago. This was a small hole that offered great food. I have been two other times to order take out and the we noticed the difference in the quality and style of the food. I figured maybe it was a backup chef or a bad day. But I tried a third time and the food sucked. The place was empty at 7:30 PM on a Saturday when before the restaurant was full watching a live band. The garbanzo's were watery and spicy. Before they were dry, fluffy and full of flavor. The style was different before & you weren't eating a soupy wet style of garbanzos. Ownership had to have changed and the whoever was the chef left too. Darn shame but the food was really wonderful.
